Billy is genuinely one of the greatest comedians ever to have lived. Most (if not all) current comedians will say that Billy was their biggest comedy inspiration. His comedy worked well for kids, adults and nan’s. You have a wealth of phenomenal material to get through.
Billy Connolly is hilarious. He's one of a few comedians who can make you cry with laughter and makes your sides hurt from laughing too much. Well worth checking him out.
One of the greatest comedians of all time, especially as a storyteller. His stand up is legendary. His Two Night Stand release has one of my favourite 'little known' jokes of when he talks about going to a dinner party at the Toff's house. Also his story about the tourettes guy at the shopping mall! On a Billy Connolly scale this video would be 2 out of 10, almost anything else you find of his would be better than this!
An Audience With Billy Connolly is a MUST SEE! It’s on TH-cam, it’s about an hour long I think but you can split it up for your reactions. It was on in the mid 80s when I was around 11 and I have never seen a funnier performance to this day by anyone. A lot of today’s comedians say that performance is what made them want to get into comedy.

as my late Mum once said about Billy, and she would have been 96 this year, 'He's so easy to listen to. The sort of man you would love to come around and just sit and chat and laugh with' His appeal is pretty universal across ages of people.
I think it's the best stand up I've EVER seen. I remember being on the floor gasping for breath at the incontinence nickers whole segment. I thought i was going to die laughing. A masterpiece of comedy, that for me, was his finest hour. The whole thing from start to finish is priceless. All these years later it's still brilliant. God bless him. A hero of Glasgow and Scotland. Mega talented, mega funny, and how much would you like just to be in his company for a while.
One the best comedians and best storytellers, especially if you watch his stand up rather than on a talk show. He’s an absolute icon. He’s retired now as he has fairly advanced Parkinson’s. There was a great tribute to him done recently Billie Holiday is very different but great!
Didn’t no he had Parkinson’s last time I seen him we was in a train going through USA stopped at a weed farm good tv man sounded like I was with him for a sec haha 😂
I saw Billy in NZ with some work colleagues. He was on stage for 4 hours of relentless humour. 3 of my colleagues were no shows the next day due to breathing problems caused by ribs bruised from laughing. I was really sore, too, but I was in charge so had to turn up. Unbelievably funny. Dig deep gents, he is the ultimate gold mine of laughs.
Love that your watching Billy Connolly (literally the funniest man ever) but you need to watch his stand up! Thats where the real gold is guys! Keep up the great content!
Billy Connolly was the comedian who broke through my mum's resistance to foul language and he was the first "adult" comedian I was allowed to stay up and watch when I was young. He has a way of swearing that is funny in itself, so you can actually laugh at the use of an obscenity rather than despite it. Besides that, his storytelling is hilarious of course.
He did a great travel show about route 66 if anyone hasnt seen it, its really good. We all know hes one of the best comedians but hes a really good presenter and his touring bike is awesome

No matter what talk show he goes on, Billy soon takes it over in his own way . . . I can recommend a good 2 parter one like that for you. Billy was on Parkinson with Tom Cruise to talk to Parky about their latest film coming out, "The Last Samurai". Naturally it didn't take Billy long to veer away from the film topic itself and just start telling some of his stories - soon leaving them both in stitches as it went on . . . It's testament to just how good Billy is that I usually watch your reactions in balance with the footage, but until you paused to react and discuss, and then until the end I was just sucked in and still as captivated by his comic timing and storytelling as I was when I first saw him 20 odd years ago. Genius at work. Have to watch this again for the actual reaction now
My mum (who was Scottish) loved Billy, so I grew up with him. I love him so much. I saw him twice live. I was so sad when I heard he had Parkinson's. He is a wonderful comedian and will always be my favourite. (I bet he struggled not swearing on this chat show!!)
What I love about Billy is that even though he had a tough childhood, he dedicated his life to make people laugh🤗😍even when he told Conan O'Brien he had Parkinson he made us laugh. And yes, he is politically incorrect but that's one of the reasons why we love him. Check the video where he teaches English with the F.... off verb😅
And, there's a video on TH-cam where Billy tells the story about a dwarf, the video is called Billy Connolly's hilarious bit😂😂😂😂😂😂😂I just couldn't stop laughing the first time I saw it. I also grew up watching Billy, I love Peter Kay and Brendan O'Carroll in Mrs. Brown's boys but Billy is the best👍💯!!!
I’ve seen Billy Connelly live twice. He is the most hilarious comedian ever, making every day events so funny. You must watch him on the Parkinson’s shows.
I've loved Billy Connolly over the years, he made me laugh until my sides hurt. Such a shame he's declined in recent years. He's a national treasure. :-)
Billy has been an inspiration for generations of comedians. It's hard to describe how much of a comic pioneer he was, when he first arrived on the scene, in the '70s. Before he was embraced by the mainstream, people all over Scotland, then the UK were buying bootleg copies of audio recordings of his gigs (esp. his 'Last Supper' bit, where he reinvents Jesus and the Apostles as guys in a Glasgow pub). So many things he paved the way for, in comedy, are just taken for granted now. He exploded taboos; introduced a whimsical sometimes surreal) stream of consciousness style; created a free form, improvised, type of performance that no one was doing before; and many top comedians rate him as the greatest. I suggest you try the 'Incontinence Trousers' bit from a TV special he did in the '80s, that was filmed in front of a UK celebrity audience. But there are tons of great bits from The Big Yin (his Glasgow nickname, meaning The Big One (Glasgow is his home town).
billy connolly with an audience, billy and albert, billys world tour of scotland , billy connolly route 66 ...the list is endless ... Dwarf on the Bus ...so so many good ones
When I was a wee boy I remember listening to one of his routines about a 'jobbie wheecher' and how planes got rid of jobbies, my mum has to come through to my room to find out what I was laughing so much about, I distinctly remember it as being the time in my life that I laughed the most 😁😁 his travel documentaries are brilliant as well.
Having grown up with Billy Connolly's comedy, this must be about the dullest, tamest interview I've ever seen with him. Suppose he's got to dial it down for the easily offended. Do keep reacting to him, though, you will love him. His interviews on 'Parkinson' never fail to amuse but probably the clips from his stand up will let you see the Billy we all love.
The only comedian that can make me cry. Lost about 22 dvds with him in a break in. But have bought most of it again. Not to know him in the United Kingdom would be like never having heard of the beatles or elvis. It's just not possible. In fact only the beatles have outsold him on record sales in Scotland. A fine actor for sure. But a god among men when it comes to his stand up stuff. A lot of Americans call him a friend. Woppie Goldberg was so into him in the 90's she did a special with him. Most UK fans has been into him since the 70's. With Parky and the big shows from way back Bites Ye Bum. And Billy and Albert. And hits like.. If it wasnae fer ya wellies. Or In the Brownies. Long live the Big Yin 😊
Embrace the Suck if you're new to Billy Connolly you're in for a treat. He's been one of the funniest comedians on the planet for decades. One other point for anyone who hasn't seen the film Mrs Brown. Please just watch it because it will move you immensely. It's a truly rewarding 90 minutes of your life well spent.
The brilliance of Billy shows here, no script, and if you had the room you really would be rolling on the floor laughing. It's not surprising that you recognise him from a film, he or at least his voice has acted in 38 films, quite a few in a major, or even the leading, role.
Billys been a comedy legend in Scotland since the early 70s, he started as a folk banjo player, but he would tell stories inbetween songs, eventually telling stories became his act. More recently, he has done travel documentaries (on his 3 wheeled motorcycle) where he tours Scotland, Australia, and the US. All well worth a look.
Had the pleasure to see the man live in Sheffield a few years ago, despite his Alzheimer’s starting to become more apparent the man did nothing but own it on stage. I’ll never forget him telling a story and asking the audience halfway through what a certain day was called, trying his best to explain it to people, going on about when they ‘fought on the beaches’ before someone in the front row shouted remembrance day. Billy shouted ‘Aye that’s it! Remembrance Day. Hell of a fucking day to forget’ I’ve never laughed so hard in my life and apparently neither had most the audience 🤣
There is a series on PBS where Billy rides his motorcycle across America on route 66. He stops at all the old roadside attractions and cafes and visits with the older town folks. It is really great he's so genuine and down to earth.
You gotta have more Billy, he is one of if not the best story telling comedian ever. You have over 40 years of Billy you can check out! Doesn’t matter what clip you watch, you will be pissing yourself laughing 😂.
So pleased you've checked out Billy. This guy is phenomenal in it observation on life in general. A true star and phenomenally funny. You have to see him in stand up to get a grip on how good he is. There can be no higher praise than he can be spoken of in the same breath as Robin Williams. Truly a 'one off. Much loved by us in the UK. A lovely man too🙂...loving you reactions guys, thanks for all the laughs👍
Billy Conolly is the best story telling comedian ever. He doesn't do one liners, his style is a story with hilarious parts even when he departs onto a different equally hilarious tangent he usually brings you back to the original tale. I've been a big fan since i was about 20 and I'm 70 now. My favourite is the one about incontinance pants. No matter how many times I've watched it, it still makes me cry laughing.
You HAVE to check out 'Potatoes of the Night', 'An Audience with Billy Connolly' and any of his live gigs. He is without doubt the funniest man who ever lived.
Billy Connolly is a legend, one of the funniest guys on the planet and you need to do more reactions on him. His stand up about the blue ring octopus and the stone fish is absolutely hilarious.
Hey finally Billy, thank you boys😊his stand up comedy is hilarious, you will love to react to the terrorist attack in Glasgow 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣so funny, I love Billy.
Love your reactions “Think I’ve seen him in a film”. “Oh wow! He was a comedian before he became an actor!” “He’s funny but not laugh out loud funny” Then Billy talked about a farting horse and you guys lost it 😂😂
An outstanding comedian, one of the best things about Billy is that he just gets on stage and tells stories as they occur to him - you could go see him 3 nights in a row and see 3 different shows. A national treasure.
Billy Connolly is a comic genius! I saw him live back in 1995. The show was due to start at 8 pm, and I was expecting a warm-up act first. Not at all. He came on on the dot of 8 and didn't stop talking for almost 3 hours, there was no interval. I thought I'd die laughing! The next day, I was so sore :) If I had to pick just one of his routines, I'd go with the Wildebeest one - I never get tired of watching it.
I am lucky enough to have seen Billy live. It is probably the best night out I have ever had. An Audience With... is the best tv comedy show ever. It still gets shown from time to time and I always watch it if I can and laugh out loud as if watching it for the first time even though it was made around 1985 and I know it off by heart.
I went to see him in london 20 odd years ago and he did nearly 4 straight hours of stand up. My sides were killing me for days from all the laughing. Legend 👍😁
Billy Connolly, the comedian all others aspire to be and the funniest man on the planet. He can turn the mundane and ordinary into extreme hilarity with his way of thinking. A comic genius.
i think it was about 1980 when Billy Connoly became a legend and National Treasure in the UK. On a interview with Michael Parkinson on his bbc chat show he told a story about a gig in america the punch line of which was 'they made me feel as welcome as a fart in a spacesuit!" The day after that interview the general consensus amongst everyone i knew was that Billy Connoly was god. Not just a legendary comedian, he was a great musician and singer, a great tv presenter, a great storyteller and just a legend in every way. Truly a one of a kind man.
Ahhh Billy 😁 glad you guys have found him at last….thanks for sharing 🤗 You could try Billy Connolly “Dwarf on a Bus” or “Terrorist attack at Glasgow airport” or “Old lady on bus”
One of, if not THE funniest British story teller ever. And they all start with "This is true" He`s also done some series about travelling across the US on his 3 wheeler. He did Australia too
Billy is a national treasure you need to see his early stuff . He also did travel programmes with parts of his tour. He is one of those guys you grow up with and hate to see get old.
Listen guys, if you want to go down the SIR Billy Connolly rabbit hole then strap in. His stand up IS fall down funny. The guys an utter legend, please react to some of his stand up lol
I once worked for a Lord's son, lovely man, but eccentric when it came to his lawn, and the moles..I actually saw him poke his 12 bore down a mole hole, and blast it to smithereens!
Just the funniest man who ever has or ever will exist and he comes from my country 🏴...sotty I come from HIS country. It belongs to The Big Yin. I managed to see him for the first time on his last tour. Even though he couldn't move around a lot due to his Parkinsons, he was amazing. I was sore from laughing. In Scotland he's part of the landcape...he's woven into our souls.
One of the best rabbit holes to go down, he has so much content and is genuinely one of the most naturally funny people you will ever see... he tells stories of his past and his opinions on the world, his mannerisms and way of telling a good story is second to none... that coupled with his animated way and explanations of the scene he's painting with funny line after funny line will have you literally crying with laughter 👍🏻👍🏻 2 thumbs up
You can't go wrong with any of Billy's stand-up, every time he opens his mouth he's just funny. 'There's One In Every Town' 'Old Lady on a Bus' 'Potatoes of the Night' 'Shouting at Wildebeest' and so much more hilarious stuff. Funny you mentioned Bill Burr, he was talking about Billy on one of his old podcasts I was listening to the other day and quote "The greatest stand-up comedian of all time" Billy was also in The Last Samurai with Tom Cruise. Lovely, genuine man is our Billy.
Billy is genuinely one of the greatest comedians ever to have lived. Most (if not all) current comedians will say that Billy was their biggest comedy inspiration. His comedy worked well for kids, adults and nan’s. You have a wealth of phenomenal material to get through.

Billy doesn't have Alzheimer's, he has Parkinson's
There is a series on PBS where Billy rides his motorcycle across America on route 66. He stops at all the old roadside attractions and cafes and visits with the older town folks. It is really great he's so genuine and down to earth.
The incontinence trousers sketch made me cry laughing.
Look up ‘An Audience with Billy Connolly’
an audience with billy Connolly- fantastic! xxxx
Not all comedians are funny in person, some are only good at writing jokes. But Billy is one of those few who can make any story funny.
Billy Connolly Wildebeest or Billy Connolly Christmas Dinner 1 and 2
Hey finally Billy, thank you boys😊his stand up comedy is hilarious, you will love to react to the terrorist attack in Glasgow 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣so funny, I love Billy.
Terrorist attack in Glasgow..yes yes and more yes lol
One of the greatest story tellers ever!
Love your reactions “Think I’ve seen him in a film”. “Oh wow! He was a comedian before he became an actor!” “He’s funny but not laugh out loud funny” Then Billy talked about a farting horse and you guys lost it 😂😂
The Trike Billy is talking about is the one he drove along the length of Route (root) 66. He even made a tv show/documentry about the journey.
Billy Connolly is quite possibly the greatest comedian that has ever lived. He has filled my life with laughter. True legend
Billy could read bus tickets and have his audience crying for mercy! Greatest comedian ever!!
Billy is iconic and will make you cry. One of those guys that when you think about it a few days later you start laughing again! Xx
Oh wow I adore Billy. Thanks so much for this.
Yes he most definitely is from the boondocks Saint films, one of his best roles I think
I saw him live in a theatre in Aberdeen Scotland a number of years ago, he was brilliant and I was crying with laughter
i think it was about 1980 when Billy Connoly became a legend and National Treasure in the UK. Truly a one of a kind man.
funniest man on this earth, you come out of his gigs aching with laughing and crying.
Ahhh Billy 😁 glad you guys have found him at last….thanks for sharing 🤗 You could try Billy Connolly “Dwarf on a Bus”
or “Terrorist attack at Glasgow airport” or “Old lady on bus”
One of, if not THE funniest British story teller ever. And they all start with "This is true" He`s also done some series about travelling across the US on his 3 wheeler. He did Australia too
Billy is a national treasure you need to see his early stuff . He also did travel programmes with parts of his tour. He is one of those guys you grow up with and hate to see get old.
He is indeed the duke from boondock saints, one of the most underrated movies ever!
Listen guys, if you want to go down the SIR Billy Connolly rabbit hole then strap in. His stand up IS fall down funny. The guys an utter legend, please react to some of his stand up lol
P.S Wildebeests.......Sea Life.... :)
You need to go deep down the rabbit hole on Billy's stand up. He's soooooo freaking funny he'll have you in tears.
In Scotland he's part of the landcape...he's woven into our souls.
the great billy connolly, theres loads of billy's stuff out there and you cant go wrong on any of them
Billy just shows up to his shows without material... Man is a treasure to the world
Just love Billy Connolly. I have been a fan since the 80’s
Yes, you need to watch more of Billy
One of the best rabbit holes to go down, he has so much content and is genuinely one of the most naturally funny people you will ever see... he tells stories of his past and his opinions on the world, his mannerisms and way of telling a good story is second to none... that coupled with his animated way and explanations of the scene he's painting with funny line after funny line will have you literally crying with laughter 👍🏻👍🏻 2 thumbs up
There's nothing funnier than Billy live.Nobody has made me cry with laughter more x
Best comic ive ever seen live and I must have seen a 100.
He will do two hours of stand up and he has no script. Everything is straight out of his mind. Unbelievable
Simply one of the best British comedians ever!!! The guy is hilarious ❤
The best comedian ever, close to my heart.
You have to watch "There's one in every town" absolutely brilliant stand up routine. Billy is a British legend
