well done video, that said it's too bad our island is not better suited for cycling. The main road is a death trap for any cyclist who ends up on the Fulford Ganges road it's a gruelling ride. No shoulder and an 80km speed limit, blind corners and uneven pavement make it scary for even driving a car. As a former island transportation commission member we did try and get MOTi to lower the speed limit to 60kmph but no such luck. My advice is to not ride on the Fulford Ganges road, use the back road and do not ride until all the ferry traffic goes by. They let the bikes off the ferry first and some try and get ahead of the traffic which is a big mistake, have a break and wait five minutes and the roads will be somewhat empty. Ruckle Park is a gem and IMHO one of the coolest campgrounds one can find for those that want an easy trip to Ganges there is a bus that goes from the part to town.

I'm a big fan of disc golfing, especially on the gulf island. Pender, Maine, Salt Spring all have fun courses to play!

Did you feel same during that trip with cars and respect of distanciation ?
Was there any gravel roads routes that it's car free ? Or it was always sharing the road with other cars ?
I'm planning to do that trip this winter and try to gather information.
    Great video and thx u

I felt quite safe on the trip, however, I have lots of experience riding on highways with cars. I find that cars on the gulf islands are generally really kind and pass with lots of space. With that being said, in years prior there are alot of tourists with camper vans that you should be aware of.
There aren't any car free roads that I am aware of, but I haven't spent much time on the north side of the island.
