LAPD IRRESPONSIBLE CHASES 7-4-24 When we see the live coverage of the LAPD chasing a stolen vehicle on TV, we hear the narrator of the event, passionately injecting excitement and drama to the ongoing episode as the persuit is in progress. It seems as if all that morbo is purposely directed to the potbelly couch people. Every move, every close call, and every sign indicating the car thief may give up and surrender to the police, is narrated by the tabloid talking heads like a football championship match. But when the chase turns crazy and the stolen vehicle and the procession of police squads behind it, put the pedal to the metal to reach wreckless speeds, the reporters create the needed suspense and excitement to keep alive the interest of their TV channel viewers. It's as if they expect a deadly collision or for the thief to end up shot dead. These movie-like police chases are good for the TV shows but not for the innocent people who get killed and badly injured in those irresponsible persuits. An educated guess tells us that those officers involved in the chase are enjoying the rush of adrenaline provoked by the high speed trailling of a scaping criminal, stimulating the joy of being seen on TV. They also imagine the rooting of their families and how proud they feel about them. Some of those police officers may also forsee the possibility of a commendation award that could catapult them to a long craved promotion. These high speed processions of squad cars, amid the flying police and TV stations helicopters, have sadden the lives of many families who have lost their love ones as a result of the LAPD officers crazy persuit of a stolen vehicle. The cost of funerals, hospitalization, rehabilitation of the injured and restitution of property damage, are not part of the expected conscientious work of the LAPD. Their mere goal is to catch the criminal dead or alive, caring very little about the collateral damage, but the Los Angeles population at large, demands for those irresponsible police chases to stop-- now. @uziclip2320 Telling you to go and find the actual statistics regarding the number of deaths caused by the honor roll students compared to all others is pointless because I can tell by your ig nor ant statement that you won't. Then, you have to subtract the cases where there is documented mental history, which makes that number even less. Good try, though, Einstein. You must be in the same graduating class as the guys in this video.
The officer had them on the highway. All the officer that was the closest to that car had to do. Was diagonally cut the car off and pull up to the door and block him in🤦🏿♂️
They stopped pursuing to encourage driver to drive better... they just stole a car.. and they expect them to drive better because cops not following. That is hysterical.
@@KristaUm There are studies that prove this. So much so that it's part of policy for many police forces across the country to not pursue a reckless driver. Many people get hurt and often times it's pedestrians or your average driver.
@MattMarkYT that policy is stupid and seldom works, they continue to drive dangerously whether they are being followed or not. And the officers are so far back that the people in the car have time to ditch the car, jump out, run thru peoples yards, jumping fences and sometimes even entering homes, all before the officers even show up.
@@snoozeflu And it's dumb because you're an expert on this. Reckless drivers are more inclined to drive even faster when there are police right behind. Even here, the moment the police approached the car on the streets, the car sped up, reaching 60mph. It's evident that experts urged the policy to be put in place for a reason.
@@MattMarkYT lol they were still blowing every single red light and driving on wrong side of the road when the cops pulled off completely. Is that not considered very erratic driving? Or do people often drive on the wrong side of the road to plow through intersections on red lights?
@@MattMarkYT That changes when the vehicle is stolen though. Yeah a criminal trying to evade police in his own personal vehicle might slow down when they're not chasing him, cause theres no reason to put his car in danger of a crash if not being pursued, but if the car is stolen then the driver has nothing to lose. No reason to drive safe or slow, they dont care what happens to a car they stole. Also if its your own vehicle you're less likely to just ditch it somewhere random and flee on foot cause then you know they'll take your car but if its stolen then they can ditch it anywhere without caring, which is what they did here and another reason to not stop chasing them. At least 1-2 got away here in this video, if not more.
