@@tessanetting here's an question I have ... I probably know this was just an error but did u notice that hagrids hut moved like 2 times... First 2 movie it was near the entrance of the forbidden Forest but in the third it was at the bottom of a hill... Heck the womping willow was at the front entrance of hogwarts in the second film, then third film it's not in front of hogwarts... Any theory's on those?

my opinion- draco malfoy should of got a redemption. but, that doesn’t mean he WASNT an asshole the whole series lol
He just needed time to mature. And he did. He became a loving husband and father and made up with the golden trio.

He was an asshole because, A: people didn't really tell him that. And B: he was blinded by his own glory at times. ( Just how I perceive it) and another reason was because of how he was raised! Not saying it's bad, but you can see some trauma from draco in the movies.
to bring more insight on my opinion, what i basically meant was that lots of people love to say that draco was misunderstood and actually nice to everyone. you see, he was purposefully mean to the golden trio and others but also wasn’t raised well by his father. so yes, I think that we should of seen more of draco’s character development and redemption arc, but let’s not FORGET who he was and what he did.

The thing I hate the most about the movie is at the end when Harry is leaving Hogwarts to meet Voldemort in the forest and he’s literally just told hermione and Ron that he’s about to go die and RON DOESNT EVEN HUG HIM. Hermione is dramatic about it obviously bc that’s her character but Ron didn’t even hug him and they’re suppose to be best friends.
I think that is be wise he does not want to stop him as he knows that he has to go. Everyone knows how emotional ron was in the books insensitive but emotional

I agree they messed up Ron’s personality in the movies. They even gave Hermione some of Ron’s lines, and they added more Hermione and Harry scenes.
I think in the movies they made Hermione too smart like in the first movie Hermione knew like everything and even though Ron lived in the wizarding world for 11 years
I think ron and harry are alot more closer in the books than in the movies

Hermione was made to be way too perfect in the movies. They took a lot of Rons awesome moments and gave them to Hermione, she was no longer someone who didn't know much about the wizarding world because "She must've read about it in a book" and she handled stressful situations too well, getting rid of a a character flaw where she knows how to do the spells, but when it's outside of a classroom or non-hypothetical, she can panic, which would have made the moments where she did prove herself to be more impactful, not just "Look how awesome Hermione is all the time, she's the best at spells and can defeat an entire army with a book and a quill"
a theory: JK Rowling basically said Hermione was a self-insert. so as she got more fame, her ego got a boost and now we have "perfect" hermione.

last opinion:
fleur is such an underrated character and doesnt get the respect that she deserves. the most obvious thing that shows that she is underrated is her character development. she turns from a snobby princess into a kind and caring person in not a lot of time.
it doesnt help that a lot of people underestimate fleur's academic virtues and magical power.
overall i just want my french queen to get a little more love 💙

Yo that's the logic of wizarding world:
Wizards creates a spell to kill someone right away and Voldemort takes 7 freaking years to kill harry
And in the first book, the third floor corridor was simply locked (bt there was certain protective charms used inside the room) when they had a spell called alohmora

they deleted a scene out of the out of the movie were Draco throws harry his wand to defeat Voldemort I think they should have left it in to really show Draco is changing for the better after all he is the boy who didn't have a choice .

@@SnowDreamFlake He was more helpful in the previous books though.And he had help with most of those; Hermione finds and tells Harry and Ron about how basilisk fangs can destroy horcruxes. And Harry actually has to convince Ron to destroy the Locket. He has his moments though but he's greatly underplayed in the deathly hallows imo

Goblet of Fire: One of the only films that doesn't show Harry's life with the Dursleys and I'm completely okay with that.
Honestly though, if not Sirius, why couldn't he have just lived with the Weasleys? He was practically family by that point.

Well, I know neville's backstory is traumatizing. But just think about this. What if your parents, your Godfather, your god siblings, your teachers, your friends, your siblings and many others; all die for you or because of you? How would you feel if you're trying to save the world, but the world hates you?
Neville was not there to watch his parents get tortured into insanity. I won't deny that there's trauma there
i agree that neville has some trauma going on there but both of their traumas are valid, lets not compare them and belittle harry just to bring someone else to light

No, they suck.
My opinions:
-I've literally never cared about the color of Hermione's dress in GOF. To me, it's such a passing little detail that I'm shocked by how many people are so mad that it's not periwinkle in the movies. The pink's better anyway!
-As much as I like the casting of Rickman as Snape, Oldman as Sirius, and others, I wish they kept with the true ages of these characters.. I mean, James and Lily died at 21! So young and tragic! And it's so much more believable that Snape would make such stupid decisions in his early 20s (not excusable, but understandable). Plus, I'm just curious about who would've played them instead.
-Because the books were told in 3rd person, there was so much opportunity to explore the lives and minds of other characters besides just Harry's. And there are scenes in the books that aren't from his perspective (like with the prime minister, I think, and the unbreakable vow), so it never was limited to just Harry alone. I know he's the main character and all, but I do wish the books jumped from perspective to perspective more often.
It makes me so mad that the actors who played James and Lily were in their late 30s

Hard agree with all of this, especially the last one. I love the first chapter of Half-Blood Prince (with the prime minister) so much and I do wish we would have seen more chapters like this. I'm rereading the book right now and I was just so excited to start this book all because of that first chapter (and Dumbledore in chapter 3 is pretty hilarious too).
*Unpopular Opinion:* Luna had more chemistry with Harry than Ginny ever did. 🙈
*EDIT:* AND to those saying I haven’t read the books because I said this (which hurt my poor potterhead soul), I have. Harry’s relationships with both Ginny and Luna are portrayed differently in the books then the films, and honestly I can see in hindsight why Luna and Harry wouldn’t work. However, this being *MY* opinion, I prefer Harry and Luna as a couple. ☺️

Rowling said she thought about killing Ron because she fell into a dark place due to the pressure so she considered killing him to spite the readers. But there was never a plot mapped out where Ron dies.

No draco and Harry were not in love. It wasn’t some romantic enemies to lovers trope. It was bullying they both absolutely despised each other and they never shared a single romantic moment at all. Also I think the golden snitch is not pointless. And, Harry is not a bad wizard, he’s just not as good as hermione.

I think Dumbledore actually hired Lockhart purely to show Harry exactly how NOT to be, because Harry’s automatic fame could be very attractive to an abused 12 year old who’s never experienced appreciation or recognition for anything, and is suddenly rocket-launched into a crazy world where literally everybody already knows his name. Dumbledore needed Harry to be pure of heart and a good person for so many reasons; he needed to show Harry what a douche and a fraud Lockhart was, to poison Harry against the idea of fame being something to strive for.

OMG thank you for mentioning the patil twins, I couldn't believe nobody was as pissed as me about their movie adaptation. When I first read the books I was so happy to see some Indian name (because most books dont really have Indian characters. I know it sounds stupid for me to be excited but i couldnt help it)but when I watched the movie adaptation I was really disappointed. I'm currently reading the books again and ugh, I hate that, the Slytherins are ALWAYS the bad ones. For example, in the third book when Gryffindor wins the Quidditch cup: every house cheers for Gryffindor. Would it have been the same way if it was a game between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor? People always defend Dumbledore by saying that the only reason he left Harry at the Dursley’s was so he could be protected by Petunia’s blood magic. The thing is though, Dumbledore KNEW the Dursley’s behaviors. And even after Harry openly complained to him, he did NOTHING. He could’ve, at the very least, checked on Harry to make sure that he wasn’t being STARVED AND TRAPPED UNDER THE STAIRS.
That Harry lived with the Dursleys maybe saved him from Voldemort, BUT NOT FROM HIS RELATIVES!
Exactly the whole thing about the blood wards always irritates me because yes it protected him from Voldemort but what if his situation would’ve gotten worse there wouldn’t be a boy who lived with the way they treated him they neglected him he was abused by his cousin and his friends etc

Remember when in the books, Professor Trelawney refuses to sit in a table of 12 people?
Well, that’s because she believes that 13 is the death number, and since if she sits, she would be the 13th person. And if that happens, the first one to leave that table dies. But then, that is actually showed in the movie the Order of the Phoenix, when all the members sit in the table. There were exactly 13 people. Then, Sirius was the first to leave. We can see Sirius dead at the end of the movie when his cousin, Belletrix killed him. That’s the moment I thought the rumor was true. 13 was the death number.
Snape saved people many times and helped them even if his personality wasn’t the best at least he was on the right side
Headcanon:And it haunted him having ti watch charity burbage being killed and not being able to stop it because of his cover. She pleaded to him , called him a friend and sure , maybe not bestfriends but she had always been friendly to him at hogwarts. He felt the guilt of having to betray her and it only added to the guily he felt for lily and dumbledore. He was relieved deep down when he died because he could be free of all that guilt.

Hogwarts was his real home & I feel like he would’ve wanted to return there later in life. Also he loved teaching everyone in DA so I think he would enjoy teaching at Hogwarts!

is not a super big age difference, everyone seems to think so but actually is a pretty normal age gap for their range of age. Consider charlie is 8 years older than ron, wich makes bill 9 or 10 years older than ron. And fleur is at the least 4 years older than ron, prob 5 because she says you don't graduate bauxbautons until 18( they have one more school year than hogwarts) but in ootp she is already working at gringotts, which mean she had to be 19 or 18 turning 19,in ootp. In ootp tonks, who is charlie's age is 23, bill is between one or two years older only, so that means he is between 5/6 years older, which is not a crazy age gap given they are both young adults in a similar age range. tbh i find more concerning 17/18 yo krum being interested in 14 year old hermione. And lupin was 13 years older than tonks. Even if they were both adults their situation is more iffy since tonks was. 23 yo with still some inmature and childish things that had more in common with the teenagers than the adults ( she gets more along with hermione, ginny or harry than with the other adults around her) and lupin is in his 30's and a has ab aged wise character. Their gap in maturiry is way bigger than fleur and bill.

In my opinion if Harry wasn’t the boy who lived he wouldn’t have been an interesting character. Without his reputation and adventures there is not much to his character. I think as a world itself I think we should have multiple series following different characters from different time periods in the wizarding world who individualy have their own reasons to go on adventures. Like Harry potters circumstances came from a war that had been going on for a long time affecting more people than just him and there were many wars prior, he is just a piece in a puzzle, as well as events that involved other characters from different backgrounds, houses and school that would be interesting to be follow. If they have a book series like Harry’s maybe it might not be as long but it would be interesting nonetheless. Also we NEED a marauders series wether that be in book form or on a streaming platform. It would also be cool to have a book or series on the founders of hogwarts. 🧚♀️
Also as a slytherin I think we needed redemption for BOTH Severus and Draco. Both characters were depicted as bullies and inevitably dark but when both have a redemption it shows the true nature of a slytherin and how we go to extreme lengths to protect those we love. Also this is random but I just realised that Draco and Hermione are usually top of the class yet they are both non ravenclaws which is interesting. Maybe if the golden trio and adventures in Gryffindor wasn’t available to Hermione she most likely would have been sorted into ravenclaw. And maybe if Draco wasn’t a Blood supremacist and didn’t have an influential evil father he might have as well, who knows!
Also in terms of Voldemort being a villain, he is RUBBISH. First of all he literally started out as a little fan club and his motive is so stupid like I get he’s supposed to be scary bc he wants power and doesn’t feel love. But in my opinion the scariest villains ARE the ones who feel love and pain because they have more to gain and lose therefore everything the do is more powerful. Voldemort is just a freaky snake psychopath who literally has it out for a child and has a bunch of snobby followers like pls. With Grindelwald however he has a history he wasn’t just evil like that. He has a plan and he’s devious and he has a history with Albus.
Well Harry's adventures were what made his story interesting unless if you want to have a series of school love triangle drama like everyone else at the school had as no one really bothered doing anything. All they did was blame things on Harry. Harry was not an interesting character to you because you saw the story from his pov but imagine watching from somebody else's pov.
If I would have been a normal student who got to know that their is a boy who defeated the dark lord at the age of one and nobody knows how he did itI would be interested in it.That same famous boy just was with his two best friends and didn't show any extraordinary talent at magic but was very skilled at flying and was the youngest seeker in a century. Then we hear all those crazy rumours about him that he saved the philosopher stone from someone evil at only 11, he can speak parseltoung, he can be the heir of Slytherin, he killed a basilisk and saved the school, managed to become the youngest triwizard champio, now he is saying Voldemort is back, he is lieing, he is mad, he was telling the truth, he is the chosen one and so on. Just look at it this way Harry was suppose to be anti social and very mysterious and if you look at it that way it makes him a really interesting character.
According to me yes you can make more stories like for marauder's or the founders of Hogwarts but it wouldn't be that interesting. Imagine watching a show in which four friends make a school and have an argument and fight or imagine that the main characters of your shows are fighting in a war and they either die or sent to askaban or are hated by wizards and a one year old baby kills the villain.
Hermione was top of her class but not Draco. Hermione got ten OWLs while Draco got three OWLs. Harry got eight or seven OWLs and Ron got seven OWLs just because Draco is a prefect it doesn't make him intelligent. Even Lucious said that if Draco keeps on getting bad marks he will only be able to become a theif. Draco only got OWL in potions, transfiguration and DADA.
And saying that Harry has no character at all is really mean.
1)He is intelligent
Yes, he is he got seven to eight OWLs and got to take the best five subjects out of all (DADA, transfiguration, potions, charms, herbology ) and he also comes up with so many intelligent ideas and conclusions all on his own that saved his life(mainly in deathly hallows)
2)He is skilled at flying
Throughout the series it is shown he is very skilled at flying at it has saved his butt at so many situations.
3)Great at quidditch
He is shown to catch the snitch almost everytime he played unless there were dementors. He is also told by Oliver that he can make a great beater. Ginny and Ron(good players and plays role of keeper and chaser) were put up against Hermione and Harry( Hermione is told to be a terrible flyer and Harry who is a seeker) to make the teams equal in a match with no snitch or bludgers when they used to play at the burrow in itself shows how Harry is excellent and an all rounder in this game.
4) He is nice
As Hannah Abbot said that he is really nice and so did many others.
5) He is kind
He saved Draco's life even though he didn't like him.
6) He is selfless
Was ready to give his own life for the sake of wizarding world.
7)He was caring
Always supported Ron whenever Ron needed him and so many others more.
8) Heroic nature
Saved other people life while risking his.
9) Very brave
In fourth book, he knew he was gonna die but still decided that if he was going to die then he will go down with a fight.
10) He is courageous
11)He is actually fun to be with
As Harry and Ron were always good together and were supposed to be funny. Yes even Harry not as much as Ron though but still.

To me he is an interesting character because he was quite manipulative(a little bit) and got himself informations or out of unwanted situations. He was sassy and savage and did not tolerated somebody's bullshit if they bothered him to much. He openly used too go against things he thought were wrong. He was a badass and told the ministry that he will not co-operate with them because he does not like their ways. Boy who lived or not he would have been one of the first to go and rebel against Voldemort.

My opinions:
1 some of The teachers + James and Lily needed to be younger.
2 Drarry is a thing, but it would've been after the war
3 Slytherin gets too much hate, and Hufflepuff + Ravenclaw are overlooked too much
4 Snape gets too much credit, if anyone deserved it it was Draco.
5 Too many straight and cis characters. I am sure that lots of main and side characters were supposed to be lgbt+
6 Percy should've died instead of Fred
7 Neville should've killed Bellatrix

Meh, I think Draco deserves better than Harry (and this is coming from somebody who hates Draco). Slytherin does get too much hate, I feel sorry for you guys. James and Lily are 23 (I think), I don’t think they need to be younger. Maybe some of the teachers, but not them. I think that I may have liked Draco better if he had gotten a redemption arc. Mostly I agree, I’m not a Drarry shipper in the slightest so I really disagree on that, but mostly yeah, you make some good points.

Unpopular opinion: I don’t like how Scorpius was characterized in the play. Scorpius and Luna were two very different people with two very different bay stories. The only thing that’s similar about them is that they were social outcasts, also for two completely different reasons. Scorpius was an outcast because of something his dad did that he wasn’t even alive to see, but was hated since birth for it, and yet he doesn’t get suspicious when Albus Potter, of all people, sits in his compartment? Luna, however, wasn’t hated, but rather “hated” as in everybody thought she was a weird oddball who was too gullible for her own good. Two very different characters, hated or “hated” for very different reasons.
I REFUSE to believe that potter and Malfoy were not infatuated with each other but they were quit oblivious to their feelings. I like to think that Malfoy realized in the last book lol. The way that these two were written,,,there's just no way that they didn't like each other-----the angst w these two just harmonizes way too freaking good.
