Also I think it's great that the "sidekick" got the girl for once, especially since Ron had so much to live up to and was constantly comparing himself to Harry and his brothers. Plus you don't see platonic friendships like Harry and Hermione's often in popular movies or books, which I think is refreshing. I can't say I'm super happy that Harry ended up with Ginny though (especially in the movies, no chemistry whatsoever) but in the books it makes more sense

Ben Lutostanski Thank you ! I didn't like it at first but it makes perfect sense to me now. Also I think it's great that the "sidekick" got the girl for once, especially since Ron had so much to live up to and was constantly comparing himself to Harry and his brothers. Plus you don't see platonic friendships like Harry and Hermione's often in popular movies or books, which I think is refreshing. I can't say I'm super happy that Harry ended up with Ginny though (especially in the movies, no chemistry whatsoever) but in the books it makes more sense
