    Inner peace is not the absence of conflict, nor the absence of challenge, but rather the capacity to be with what is, in each moment, without prejudice or judgement.

    I have been following the teachings of Eckhart Tolle since 2013 after going through a shocking and painful divorce at 27 years-old, which shook "my world" and reality as I knew it. All of a sudden, I was alone in the US, without family and friends - I had very little emotional support and had to learn how to rebuild "my life" on my own. The loneliness and disorientation I felt were intense, Eckhart Tolle's teachings was all I had, so I leaned into it heavily, listening to it every day in my solitude and finding comfort in his voice and in the truth I sensed in his teachings. 9 years later, after a difficult journey of uncovering a lot of unconsciousness (the divorce was just the beginning) my life has transformed - I remarried a wonderful man who is kind, loving, patient and we practice spirituality and work on our unconsciousness together, I have started my dream and vision of becoming a spiritual wellbeing coach with a focus on Eckhart's teachings, and my dream of moving to Portugal is finally coming true. I don't want to focus on the "outer layer" only and don't want to give the impression that life is now perfect, we all know this is not the nature of reality. There is still unconsciousness, but more often than not I am aware of it shortly after, so I'm able to let go and not create suffering. I continue to practice presence since I know anything I experience in the world of form is temporary and will eventually dissolve - I want to be cautious not to develop strong attachments to the world of form after manifesting the life that I always wanted. I felt the truth in my bones in everything that Eckhart teaches, but to have put it to the test (how he says it himself), and to now experience and see the truth for myself has been transformational - it has deepened my presence and trust in it, and it is incredibly liberating to feel connected to source throughout normal daily life. Thank you, Eckhart.. I am infinitely and forever grateful for your teachings

    As a child and with autism I often viewed my environment as concepts which made it more comfortable or tolerable to me. But then one day I saw the clock on the wall, which I had looked at for over 10 years, and actually "saw it." I realized it had a nice floral pattern, and I recognized each flower (although I didn't know the name of the flowers or their concepts). I saw everything about the clock and it became much more "alive" to me. But before this it was merely an object that served a function, and anything else about it was vague and unimportant to me.

    The story about Buddha's silent sermon from the first time I heard it streaked me right in my heart. And it still has the same effect on me. I always dreamed about THE teacher. I thought that I will be able to understand. Now... Now I think that I won't understand. But I'm not anxious about it anymore. Even if I don't understand, that doesn't mean I don't live.

      Hi Lindsay, thanks for reply. I know what you mean, it’s hard at first but the I do it is I sit quietly by myself in room with little or no distractions and I close my eyes and open my ears to all the sounds inside the room and outside, for example the ticking of the clock, birds or cars passing outside and I stay like that for about 2 minutes or so and then I can hear absolute silence or feel it and I stay in that space till the mind intrudes again. It’s like meditation and it takes lots of practice. I don’t know if that helps Lindsay, but hopefully it might a little anyway. 🙏👍

    We sometimes ponder what existed before the universe was born, & some scientists say it was formed from nothing. But there is no such thing as nothing. Before the material was the consciousness, the field of tao that knew neither time nor space. Out of that consciousness came the beautiful expression that is our universe & everything in it. We can still feel & understand & live within that consciousness. If we wish to. & where will the universe go when it dies? It returns to a state of consciousness without form, & then the form is manifested again.

    Think about a black hole. A star comes into being after the dust and gas settles, then spins and swirls fusing and exploding into giving life to planets, which give life to humans. Some of these stars are so big that they collapse in on themselves, into an infinitely dense point which light cannot escape. Beyond spacetime. Other stars swirl around these black holes, stars reborn into another dimension, and eventually meet the same fate at a smaller scale.
    Life is a great fractal of energy.

  • @orionxavier6957
    @orionxavier6957 ปีที่แล้ว

    12:21 It's funny how Eckhart refers to being as a black hole or singularity. When I was a child I had many surreal experiences and one of them was this presence of this extremely heavy black "orb." I often could feel its presence while going to sleep every night. But it's very difficult to describe. It was "nonlocal" and was not something I could point to and say it's hovering over this spot on my head, or something like that. It just sort of near my head but at the same time it wasn't, if that makes any sense. This extremely dense black orb was also extremely small and extremely large at the same time. I felt the entire universe was contained within it.
    Looking back on that experience, I think it was so difficult to conceptualize because it's a PARADOX so it defies rational thought. In fact I think the very essence of our being IS a paradox and thus cannot be known by the mind.

But could one consider it as the present moment? That to be one with the way is to be one with the eternal present. That the "Tao" could be partially defined as the present moment? If the universe does not have age then god exists in surreal allpowerfull form back before putting start to cosmos no particles or maybe yes particles but he can exist like all matter put in him maybe it goes transparent but he is all around behind all forces that even free will forces he is composed of all particles maybe he can create vacuum and exist as himself as void because he can do that he is just magician

    Buddha's silence was misunderstood and misinterpreted as nothing, later and atheism held sway. Then incarnated Adi shankara and Advaita Vedanta was re established.

    Everyone I know is completely insane. Not one of the people I used to think I knew is even worth talking to. The reader of this is likely insane as well

    By saying 'You can understand the whole universe by understanding yourself' in 14:22, that would imply he is at the level of an advanced Bodhisvattva.
    That would further imply he should be capable of looking into other's past lives and future and bless people but he is playing dumb here. Hehe... 😆
