Uzui's slap on the girl refers to the Medieval Era of Japan, where tsugukos (newbies) would get beaten or slapped in their back regions if they disrespected their superiors or disobey them.
unfortunately this introduction of Uzui is terrible and chaotic, because they don't give a context and if it depends on the interpretation of many people in the modern era this can be interpreted as sexual harassment.

"That Guy" was Tengen/Uzui, The Hashira. He looked different because it was a flashback in black and white. Also the ending that you saw was actually the Intro for the Entertainment District Arc.
Addendum: The ACTUAL name of the arc is "Red Light District Arc". And if you don't know, RLD refers to an area in a city or town where the main attractions are sex-services businesses. Massage Parlors, Brothels, and Adult theatres are just some of the "Entertainment" available in these areas.

Dude is quite the sniper, there's actually a reason why Muzan do all that, but it is only revealed in the final arc if i'm not mistaken. Also he only crushed Akaza there because he is his slave, against demon slayers he would have to actually fight
slave? no. Its because Muzan has complete control of his blood, which all the demons have so he can rinse, freeze and spill it at will. Upper Moon 1 has Muzan's blood but Muzan would die if he tried to hurt upper moon 1 despite being in the same team.

45:29 - for those who don't understand why Tengen slapped Aoi's butt, in that era (Taisho Era), slapping but is considered the lightest punishment is given from the upper man/master/leader to the juniors. Parents do use that to punish their children. There's research that the butt has a lot of muscles so Aoi was completely unharmed by Tengen's action.
If you take this action out of context, yes Tengen is rude. But here Tengen is a Pillar/Hashira, and Aoi is below his level far away. I don't want to see anyone fighting in the sub comment.

I am Japanese. I think slapping Aoi is not because of punishment. I saw various opinions, but no Japanese thought this was a punishment. Rather, it looks like he is hitting a Japanese drum. Most Japanese believe that the act has no particular deep meaning or cultural background. They think it's just a joke that makes comics funny. Japanese Feminists were angry not to make sexual harassment a joke. Also, there were many opinions that I also wanted to be beaten by Tengen-sama.

From season 1 Muzan was shown to know every demon's actions, and thoughts - he stated this to the swamp demon, think of it like a hive-mind - Muzan knows EVERYTHING another demon does, every demon he is constantly hearing/seeing and knowing what they think because he is at that point where he doesn't suffer from limitation is knowledge, being a demon his mental capabilities are extraordinary - to the point that he can control and know every demon's being and not go mad, as a demon grows not only does their physical power but their mental capabilities which were shown with nearly every single-demon in their 'monologues' when they are easily able to piece together information in seconds with Enmu being Lower-Moon 1 being able to decipher what Tanjiro was doing in a split-second as he was dodging his strikes.
This is why the Tamari demon cried to Muzan to forgive her, speaking out loud because she knew Muzan would hear after uttering his name to Tanjiro (Which he didn't brutally killing her) This is also how he knew Rui was Killed instantly after he was decapitated by Giyu and as confirmed by this episode He WITNESSED and knew fully the entire battle and was angry Akaza struggled with Rengoku at the end due to his ignorance and left Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke alive, since Akaza shouldn't have struggled with Rengoku.
You have UM 4,5,6 who are lower easily able to kill Hashira (Those being lower than Akaza) as stated by Enmu and so Akaza being UM 3 at that point should have no difficulty which at the end he ended up getting caught off-guard which nearly ended in his death by sunlight due to his obsession with turning Rengoku which is why Muzan threatened him with "How UM 3 has fallen" which was a threat of demoting Akaza to 'motivate him' Muzan be really manipulative.
Lemme simplify it, Muzan is the progenitor of demons. So they all have some of his blood, and he has control over them through the blood
may i include that Akaza didn't really struggled against Rengoku. He went easy because he wanted Rengoku to join them. He doesn't want to kill him immediately.
I don't want to spoil the details about Akaza and events that will happen in the future of the show, but if he wanted to, all of them will be dead in a few minutes, especially, considering that the three jr. demon slayers were extremely exhausted, and one of them, Tanjiro, was gravely injured already.
My claim also proved by Muzan's reaction in this episode. Akaza could if he wanted to but he chose not to and instead used a lot of time convincing Rengoku then his focus shifted to escape the sunrise.
Showing Upper rank demon ( rank 3) in this case ( the end of Mugen train arc) is just to showcase how strong Upper moon demons really are, just a bit like on season 1 where they show Rui ( Lower moon rank 5 ) is to show the power or the lower moons. with Akaza he is top 3 and in mugen train he didnt go all out as he really wanted to give a chance for Rengoku to become a demon, seeing the potential he has as hashira and how strong he would become as a demon. I can only imagine how scary and strong rengoku would be if he did choose that path, but he didn't. If Akaza went full strength he would have killed everyone before the sunrise. I don't want to spoil too much but this is not the last time where Akaza will meet the Hashira and the demon slayers again. It will ge more exciting and intense until the final season arc :)
I'm not a reader but will they explain why Nezuko and Tamayo are able to be independent from Muzan's influence?

I read this somewhere that the reason why Muzan takes another form or identity specifically from rich family is because he needed “money” to survive. That’s why he kills a family member from a rich family and replaces them using his shape shifting powers-- this makes his power all more convenient to use and blend in in the human world.
I won’t spoil it for you but that’s not the reason, all I’ll say is that Muzan is just trying to play it as safe as he can because he doesn’t know if there is any Demon Slayers out there who is capable of what a Certain Demon Slayer could do over a hundred years ago, basically a Demon Slayer scared him quite a bit a few 100 years ago and that’s why he created upper ranks so he wouldn’t have to go outside and do the dirty work

The anime is still far behind for the questions you want to know and since you didn’t read the manga most of this stuff will drive you crazy so just enjoy the anime and everything will soon follow and it’s worth the wait!
Rengoku's father became like that was due to what his ancestors wrote in a scroll about Sun Breathing, plus his wife succumb to illness and passed away. He felt the Flame Breathing (being the closest breathing to Sun Breathing) was a direct cheap imitation, and he cannot protect his wife from illness despite being a Hashira.
This arc, makes me cant sleep because waiting, wondering how theyre gonna go, animation etc. Because they carrying eps 19 masterpiece along with the arc. And that insomnia doesnt disappoint me with this arc going.
To answer why Muzan is "hiding" by assuming different identities, Muzan doesn't like getting his hands dirty unless absolutely necessary or if he becomes enraged. Like when he murdered those people in the alleyway after we were first introduced to him. He was willing to ignore them and let them live if they would have gotten out of his way. But they called him sickly looking and he got mad.
When he killed Tanjiro's family, it's because he wanted to ensure the job was done and he didn't want to risk leaving the job to another demon. He's also trying to look for the blue spider lily in secret. I don't remember if it explains why in this arc, so I won't spoil it. But basically he's playing it safe and hiding his identity so the Demon Slayers don't get word of what he's planning. Right now, he could EASILY kill pretty much the entire Demon Slayer Corps. But just like they don't know his whereabouts, Muzan hasn't been able to find their Headquarters yet.

Muzans main goal is to find the blue spider lily, so he can conquer the sun and unstoppable. You see him acting like a human so he can get more information on where to find it. You also see him reading a flower book and see him asking akaza if he has located the flower.
Muzan is a survivor. He hasn't done that buy waking around letting everyone know what he is, and he has a fundamental flaw of no daytime. If people knew who and where he was their could attack during the day.
Got to give the dad a break, I cannot imagine losing my wife then my oldest of 2 children.
The level of resentment and depression I would have, I'm not sure I could deal with it in a healthy fashion either

If you really pay attention, the music mash up at 7.51 kinda gives away that the kid is Muzan. You will realize that the exact choir plays whenever Muzan is mentioned or in the scene.
This season is 9000% straight up fire. You guys are gonna love it. It blew my mind with how awesome it is

Muzan is searching for a way to beat the sun since that is his only weakness so far, other fact in past Muzan was almost killed by a Hashira and had to run away, if you remember early episodes why he hates Tanjiro because tanjiro's earings that reminded him of the same person. Muzan may be strongest but not unbeatable because there is a specific breathing sword style that is totally affective on him so unless he beats sun he cannot counter the breathing style technique. (Muzan's family is cursed because of Muzan's actions until they kill him their curse wont be lifted thats why they have been searching for him from generations.) I hope that was basic info no spoilers.
Muzan is in search of very rare kind flower which is the "blue spider lily". This flower only bloom at daylight once every year for 2-3 days.

So about the part where you wondered why Muzan would disguise as a kid in a rich family, I think it’s because he is trying to find a “ cure “ to him not being able to withstand the sunlight. I haven’t read the manga so I don’t know, but knowing Muzan’s character I know he wants to be the perfect being on the world, but since he can’t walk in the daylight he isn’t perfect. I think the rich man was talking about finding a cure for his “ skin illness “ and he Muzan was reading a book about flowers and asking akaza about some flower. So that’s my theory, that he is trying to find a cure to the sunlight

About why Muzan have to be in hiding despite being the OG demon is because Sun breathing almost took Mumu's head, poor dude was scared for life after the attack so he went in hiding until the master of Sun breathing died of old age. But before passing he had taught others DS to use breathing technique. Tho almost none can handle the technique and had to create their own breathing style as a coping mechanism, the Sun breathing still somehow live on, so Mumu is kinda being extra careful. Plus other techniques may not be as powerful but its still a pain to have potential gang up, changing idenity is way simpler as he can ditch them anytime.
Muzan transformed into a child for the reason that he needs access to the library. As far as i can remember(i'm not really sure) that family owns a library that he can visit. He needs to read about the blue spider lily. But maybe, that's not the reason😅.
This is my favourite arc so far. You guys will love it. I feel like this arc carries slightly less emotion than the first arc and the movie but the fighting scenes improved.

Muzan disguises himself as a human in order to survive and avoid the demon slayers. Last episode of season 1 we saw him as a woman, and now he's a child, he has the ability to shapeshift and he lives an intricate web of lies. Whenever he thinks demon slayers are close to discover him, he will change forms and switch families. It's just like Tamayo said. Muzan is an utter coward.

Usually the first episode of the season doesn't have the intro play at the beggining for a variety of reasons, but mostly to set up a mood. So instead they'll save the intro and play it at the end of the episode. Intros are big deals for anime especially when they get very talented and popular singers to perform them like Demon Slayer has, with Lisa and Aimer.

As Tamayo said Muzan is a coward. And if you recall in the first season he kills 3 civilians, because one said he looked like he would fall over dead. It implies Muzan is afraid of dying, and the demon slayer corp is the only thing that could feasibly kill him. So even though he is so powerful he could literally destroy the demon slayers himself, he likely does not want to chance it. So he lives among humans and holds multiple identities to keep the slayers occupied, while he has his goons (demons) fight them for him. It also explains why he goes all out on regular humans and demons, they are no match for him he can kill them, but they can't kill muzan.
it doesn't imply "he is afraid of dying". He did that because it reminded him of the past

Im not gonna spoil anything about this flower but the reason Akaza cant confirm the blue spider lily’s existence is because they only bloom in the sunlight once a year i am pretty sure
The guy that was adopting Muzan has something to do with pharmaceutic as he said that he wanted Muzan to take over his company and moreover it's a good camouflage to be a little boy adopted in a family as they will cover for him and his "skin desease". The last reason is that a little boy stand out less and won't be discovered by demon slayers except for exceptions like Tanjiro and his smell or other demon slayers with special detection abilities
think about this: If Muzan DOESN’T hide, every human in Japan knows that Oni are real. Then he’s not just fighting the Demon Slayer, but the whole nation. Plus, if people know oni are real, hunting becomes real difficult, cuz every person in Japan starts carrying wisteria on them, not going out at night, and not falling for trickery.
