  • Part 2 of what to do in Liverpool. Things to see in Liverpool that we haven't done before. The imposing Liverpool Cathedral including the Tower Experience with spectacular views of Liverpool is a must-see Liverpool attraction. Views of the River Mersey, Wirral and most of Liverpool are seen from the bell-tower. The Liverpool Cathedral is a beautiful building and is the largest cathedral in the UK.
Take a look at our other travel content at: @OceanHops
Also, worth keeping in mind that it's something that's free to do in Liverpool with a charge only for the Tower Experience if you want to do it. It's 2 lifts and 108 steps to get to the top - but the views of Liverpool are worth the climb. There's also a Cathedral gift shop and cafe.
So we're here at the massive Liverpool Cathedral. We're going to go in and have a look around now, see what's in there. Apparently you can go up the top right up the top there and sort of get a view of Liverpool so we'll go and take a look.
    They're very imposing these buildings
I thought it was really old though but it says it was in the 70s it was finished wasn't it. I'm sure I read...
Our cathedral -1978 was the completion of the cathedral and dedication attended by Queen Elizabeth II 1904 King Edward the Seventh lays the foundation stone [music]
    This organ - it's like a synthesizer
so i'm going up in the lift - Tower Experience. Sian's decided against it because of the.... take one lift to the fourth floor another lift to the 10th floor and then 108 steps up to the top of the tower
    well that's a view
    The Mersey
    That's Toxteth.
    yes that's Toxteth and Dingle
That's down towards the city centre You can see St Luke's bombed-out church there. I couldn't see if i was pointing to it
this is looking at the city centre and you see the Liver Building there just about in the middle of the screen, Liver Building on the side of the Mersey
and the ferry that we went on the other day is out
    there's the radio city tower
certainly is a 360 view of liverpool up here. Well, 360 - you've got to walk around you can't just turn around and it's 360 - just walk around inside the tower here
    here's looking down towards
Albert Dock there just to the right of the big wheel you can see Albert Dock
yeah six pound for this Tower Experience. It's free to come in the cathedral although there is a donations box at the front so we'll put something in there now but it is free otherwise and it's just six pounds to come up here for the Tower Experience to have a look around which is worth it for the views of Liverpool. Okay let's start the trek down. We're down a different way so there's no passing anybody on the way
    Superlambanana mug
    Liver Bird
and Grumpy Old Man for you!
'Hope you enjoyed your visit to Britain's largest cathedral and we look forward to seeing you soon' So it is the largest in the UK.
that was our trip to the cathedral It's well worth it. It's free. No admission, but I said a donation.
Car park right outside which is pretty reasonable. Definitely a place to visit in Liverpool
So we've come from Chinatown down the end there and we've walked across here and we're coming here to the St Luke's bombed out church. The initial Chinese statues here look which I didn't expect to see because the gates are down there. so this is like I guess signify the beginning of the Chinese district, the China district You have Seel Street just down there with
with the Chinese writing underneath it as well so to all intents and purposes this church looks
a functioning church but it's actually the bombed-out church the inside is completely destroyed during the blitz.
'St Luke's Church and Garden. Struck by enemy fire May 1941, remains as a memorial to those who died'
There's the two soldiers. That's the symbolic....it was the football match. There's a football there on the floor look of the British and German soldiers playing football on Christmas Day. 1914? and with the bombed out church standing behind them then which is
