This is absolutely false of course. Philosophy and theology are legitimate forms of understanding reality, which is what Chesterton is getting at here. Faith can be comprehensive to a skeptic, IF they were formally believers at one point in time. But both worldviews are collosally different, and trying to manage the two at once, can lead to retardation (split personality disorder), and even suicide (from insanity). Reason is the combination of emotion, and logic, working together to create a balanced worldview, and an emotionally intelligent life experience for the user.

2502 Sacred art is true and beautiful when its form corresponds to its particular vocation: evoking and glorifying, in faith and adoration, the transcendent mystery of God - the surpassing invisible beauty of truth and love visible in Christ, who "reflects the glory of God and bears the very stamp of his nature," in whom "the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily." This spiritual beauty of God is reflected in the most holy Virgin Mother of God, the angels, and saints. Genuine sacred art draws man to adoration, to prayer, and to the love of God, Creator and Savior, the Holy One and Sanctifier.

Catholicism provides a false doctrine. Faith+sacraments+traditions+works is NOT the Gospel of Christ. If any teaching (doctrine) provides a false Gospel it is to be considered doctrines of demons
The entirety of Scripture teaches that we are saved through faith alone in Christ! When you fail to compare what you are being taught with the living and active Word of our Lord, you will fall away and follow deceiving spirits. Too many Catholic doctrines and traditions very clearly contradict The Word of God. His very Word to us, His children.
”Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons,“
    ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭1‬ ‭

    • @christianmysticism
      @christianmysticism  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

Actually, what you spew is far from remotely true in any sense. Martin Luther perverted Paul's epistles by adding the word "alone" to justification by faith 1500 years after Paul's letters were written. Many Protestants & Lutherans unfortunately now think one sinner's prayer will save one's soul even if one goes on sinning. We will be judged by our DEEDS, WORKS. -Romans, Revelation, Corinthians, Matthew, Peter, James, Timothy, Jeremiah, Psalms, John, Colossians. All of these books say that we will be judged and repaid by our works.
No religion is perfect. There are good people in bad religions and bad people in good religions. We are called to love God with all our heart, MIND and soul and that includes using one's mind to question the heresy of both the idolatry of the Catholic Church and also Luther's errors of Protestant churches.
Faith without works is dead - James. Luther's German translation of Romans was perverted. Not everyone will enter the kingdom, but only those who do the will of the Father (obedience). Not just Faith + you can sin. That's not what the bible says, only Luther's perversion of Paul's epistles imply that. Read the whole bible not just Luther's twisting and perverting of Paul's letters. We will be judged by our deeds/works (many, many many references to this). Meaning, help the poor and needy and obey God. Salvation is an inheritance we can't earn it, but we can lose it! -Timothy
You can and you will lose your salvation if you willfully sin.
"Pay close attention to yourself and to your teaching; persevere in these things, for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you." 1 Timothy 4:16 (NASB)
Jesus is king and no one can take anyone from him who obeys. "You are my friends if you do what I say," Jesus said, meaning total obedience. Jesus also says if you disobey, he will throw you into outer darkness. Listen to JESUS not Luther's perversion of Paul!
You can cast out demons and do miracles in Jesus name and he will absolutely say to you, "I never knew you, depart from me." How in the world can Protestants interpret from the bible as Faith in God + disobedience = salvation? You can have faith to do miracles! And Christ will still throw you in Hell for lawlessness!
These people THINK they are eternally secure! It's a lie. If you have ears to hear.

Would you rather be a peasant in Heaven if we (like the bible says) will be repaid according to our deeds and works in Heaven? Rather, store up one's treasures in Heaven and not on this Earth like Christ said. Christ eluded to many social classes in heaven and different levels of eternal heavenly glory for many different souls. Greater works = better status with God in heaven.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
Scripture does speak of different rewards in heaven. Jesus said regarding rewards, “Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done.” (Revelation 22:12).
Read your Bible, do not elevate perverted versions of Paul's letters.

The great Catholic psychiatrist Karl Stern in (Harcourt Brace & Co.. 1954), wrote that most Catholic scholars recognized that Jung and Catholicism are incompatible-irreconcilable-and he warned that the Jungian who begins viewing religion as existing on the same plane as psychology ends up viewing all religions as equally irrelevant.
Example how Jung is incompatible with Catholic Christianity...
"Jungians treat supernatural and spiritual realities as psychological realities. Creeds and confessions are regarded as projections of the psyche. Christianity is then valued not for the truths it reveals about man and God, but for its usefulness in mapping and exploring the unconscious. Consequently, Scripture is interpreted subjectively. Christ loses His uniqueness as incarnate Word and mediator between God and man . . . .
"Jungianism, by pushing God beyond the range of human knowledge and beyond good and evil, establishes a god who is both good and evil, a mere projection of the human mind, under whose image spiritual forces come to domineer over human lives. The repudiation of Yahweh invites the return of Baal. The abandonment of the search for holiness and transformation in the Spirit leaves the way open for spirits of sexual bondage, phallic demons."

    God wants your heart.
Because Catholicism disregards Eph. 2:8-9-“You are saved by Grace, not of yourselves, it’s the GIFT of God, least any man can boast”, it makes it just another of the ‘works righteousness’ religions of the world.
Christianity says you cannot join Christianity but need the justification miracle from God. “Salvation is of the Lord”- Jonah
Christians’ faith is not ‘faith in a faith’ but faith in Jesus. That difference is life and death.
Sin, righteousness and judgement to come is the issue of life, not PRIDE in a faith.
God will only give Grace (Jesus as Savior by the indwelling miracle of the Holy Spirit) to those that humble and become broken over their transgressions of the Ten Commandments (lying, stealing, looking w/ lust, fornication, blasphemy, idolatry, etc. - we’re all guilty), turn from that way of life in REPENTANCE and turn to Christ as Lord over them. It’s a low-down time…dying to self, when that happens, so as serious anyone is with God is how serious He’ll take you and either indwell you with the Holy Spirit, making you “born-again”, or you will be deceived into thinking you have something to offer him for your salvation other than sin. As in your loyalty to a ‘faith system’.
    That’s still death.
Loyalty to only Christ -straight to and with him is life, not through a system, a pope, a priest or any other person.
“No man will see the kingdom unless he is born-again.”
It’s truly a personal relationship. You won’t just know about him, you will know HIM, Jesus will reveal himself to you as your Lord and you will have a relationship by reading the word (God talking to you) and prayer (you talking to God.). The Word is alive and upon this salvation, the blinders immediately fall from your eyes and you are able to understand what he wants to say to you.
The promise to those born of the spirit is eternal life with Jesus. He wants you to know this! “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” - I John 5:13
So, this is all justification facts. Sanctification begins after this where now your good deeds count. (The deed does must be made clean before the deeds are clean/ count. ) You now do deeds in appreciation for his sacrifice on the cross for your sin that was going to justifiably send you to Hell, instead of trying to bribe him for salvation or make his free/ gift a purchase.
This is the narrow road of the Gospel.
Matt. 7:13-14. “The road is narrow and few therebe that find it.”
You’ve just been given the narrow road; will you accept it or reject it? Choose wisely, as you may not have tomorrow.

Catholicism is only inclusive to the extent you adhere to a Catechism of doctrines. It excludes free thinking and a personal relationship with God; for while it is claimed that one can use the mind to contemplate the deep things of God, of what real use is that if the only conclusions permissible are the positions of the Catechism?

    • @satyannair4837
      @satyannair4837 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

The Catechism, itself, was not developed by ordinary men. The Early Church Fathers and the 38 Doctors of the Church (including two women) were the key authors. The best Christian minds have produced it over two millenia, and you can follow it and, possibly, build on it.
Faith is a constant, and so are our beliefs. To err is commonly human, and when one goes way off the mark, the Church can reprimand him. On the other hand, when a Protestant errs, he forms a new church. There are more than 40,000 erroneous interpretations of the Bible today, with many Protestants going way off the mark.
Today, you can have six Protestant churches in a particular neighborhood, with one being pro-life, one being pro-choice, one venerating Mother Mary, one practicing weekly confessions, one believing in The Trinity, and one having a homosexual couple for pastors. @@sanctifyme4543 My friend let me ask you a simple question, Are you saved? How did you get saved?
If you understood that "bread" was a long held Jewish metaphor for the "word of God" you would understand what Christ was saying.
Why do you think the apostles never said mass or teach they could call Christ down into bread or that we had to eat Christ?
The apostles broke bread just as Christ told them to in remembrance of the price He was to pay.
In Jewish thought, bread was equated with the Torah, and "eating of it" was reading and understanding the covenant of God (cf. Deuteronomy 8:3). For example, the apocryphal book of Sirach states, "'He who eats of me will hunger still, he who drinks of me will thirst for more; he who obeys me will not be put to shame, he who serves me will never fail.' All this is true of the book of Most High’s covenant, the law which Moses commanded us as an inheritance for the community of Jacob" (Sirach 24:20-22). Quoting from Sirach here is not endorsing it as Scripture; it only serves to illustrate how the Jewish people thought of Mosaic Law. It is important to understand the equating of bread with the Torah to appreciate Jesus’ real point.
In the Jerusalem Post, both in articles on the Torah and in articles on the Gospels, they have discussed again and again and again that “food is a metaphor for knowledge” and have seen in example after example that: “each type of food represents a different aspect of knowledge”. Hence: “bread” is a metaphor for: “the word of God”, “figs” are a metaphor for “knowledge about God”, “milk” is a metaphor for “easy to understand spiritual teachings”,

Catholicism is not Christianity ✝️ When you learn the truth, you will be made free.
I did some studying and I found that many of their doctrines are misinterpreted. It’s shocking how erroneous their doctrines are. I’ve given you all of the answers you’ll need. I’ve listed several specific things that you’ll need to diligently study if you’re Catholic.
    --------------------
Peter self-identified as an elder, not a pope.
    An elder is a pastor.
**1 Pete 5:1** And now, a word to you who are elders in the churches. I, too, am an elder and a witness to the sufferings of Christ. And I, too, will share in his glory when he is revealed to the whole world. As a fellow elder, I appeal to you:
Matthew 16:18-19 is misinterpreted and this is shown in Matthew 18:18 as Jesus reiterates the same thing to all disciples. The Petrine theory is false.
    --------------------
    - Antithetical books taught as doctrine that are contradictory to the Bible is apostasy.
****1 Timothy 4:1**** Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons.
    --------------------
    - Forbidding clergy to marry is apostasy.
****1 Timothy 4:3**** who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.
    --------------------
    • Adding church doctrines, especially doctrines that uniquely serve the context of a church’s teachings and political purposes of a church is apostasy and it’s forbidden.
****Deuteronomy 4:2,**** ****Galatians 1:6-7****. A church can’t interpret a scripture and ignore the fact that their interpretation contradicts other scriptures.
    ****Mark 7:7****
Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
    --------------------
    • We have a new ministry in the new covenant. ****Ephesians 4:11****. Christ did not send out any officiating new covenant high priests, or parish priests.
****Ephesians 4:11**** So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers
    • God does not show favoritism ****Romans 2:11**** -- there is no evidence in the scriptures that the church was built on a human. We do not have a human pope to guide us. We are led by the indwelling of the Spirit. ****Acts 1:5****
    --------------------
    • The scriptures show no differences in the apostles.
    ****Equality amongst the apostles****
“Ye are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone. ****Ephesians 2:20****
“And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.” ****Revelation 21:14****
    • Peter was no different than the others. We can see here in ****Revelations 21:14**** that Peter was still an apostle, not a pope. John saw a vision of the New Jerusalem, so if Peter was a pope, John would have said I saw the foundation of the city walls in layers of 11 apostles and the one pope.
    --------------------
    - The Rock of the church is spiritual, not physical. There is only one Rock.
****1 Corinthians 10:4**** and all drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.
    --------------------
    • Mary nor the saints can hear prayers. There’s only one mediator in heaven between God & Man. No scriptures show that the 24 elders hear prayers.
****1 Timothy 2:5**** For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,
    --------------------
    • All Christians are saints.
****Philippians 1:1**** Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:
    --------------------
    • All Christians are priests. We are living stones being built in a spiritual house on a spiritual Rock. You can approach God for forgiveness yourself.
****1 Peter 2:5**** Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
    --------------------
    • The doctrine of original sin is not biblical or found in the scriptures at all. Water baptism cannot remove sins. By the shedding of blood is there remission of sins. Adam sinned but adding the terminology of “original sin” is not biblical.
****Hebrews 9:22**** In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
    --------------------
    • Every Christian is supposed to study and read the Bible for themselves. ****Acts 17:11****
****Ephesians 3:4**** As you read what I have written, you will understand my insight into this plan regarding Christ.
****Psalm 119:15**** I will study your commandments and reflect on your ways.
    --------------------
    • In order to receive salvation, we must all repent and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior. We need no new antithetical AD prophet church bibles, no man-made doctrines, no priests, no infallible magisterium, no Vatican, no communion of saints, no catechisms, no Marian dogmas, no transubstantiation, no other God(s), no idolatry, no prosperity gospel, no blessed prayer cloths, no added rituals, no antithetical traditions, no Eucharist, no veneration of Mary, no long list of good works, no water baptism regeneration, no sacrament of reconciliation, no rosary, no pope, no papacy, no apostolic succession, and no church dogmas, but *only* by grace through faith are we saved. Christ is enough!
****Ephesians 2:8**** "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast".
    --------------------
    - I’m not against any church. I’m against people who are being misled and deceived. A church that has stood for several centuries must still teach sound doctrine. Any church that is built on false doctrine leads people astray. That church is no longer fertile grounds for the development of the body of Christ.
    - I know this information can be heavy so I pray for your healing. I also pray that you will see the truth in God’s word. Study.
    In Jesus’s name, Amen. 💜💜💜❤💙💙

Also, please note that even if Peter was a pope, the apostles would have had to report to him. No scriptures in the New Testament show Peter’s authority over the other apostles.
      SCRIPTURES
      ****Equal Authority Among Apostles****:
In Matthew 16:18-19, Jesus declares to Peter, "And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." While this passage is often interpreted as foundational for the papacy, it's important to note that similar language regarding binding and loosing is also given to the other apostles (Matthew 18:18), suggesting shared authority. This also suggests that Jesus was talking to all of his disciples in (Matthew 16:19), not just Peter.
      ****The Leadership of James****:
In Acts 15, during the Council of Jerusalem, it is James (not Peter) who presides over the gathering and delivers the final decision (Acts 15:13-21). This could be seen as a demonstration of James’ prominent role in the early church, suggesting a broader leadership structure beyond Peter.
      ****Paul's Independent Ministry****:
Paul’s interactions and disputes with Peter (Galatians 2:11-14) indicate a collegial relationship among apostles rather than a hierarchical one where Peter exercises supreme authority. Paul confronts Peter regarding his actions in Antioch, suggesting an equal footing in apostolic authority.
      ****Peter self-identifies as an Elder****:
In (1 Peter 5:1), Peter refers to himself as a fellow elder rather than as a supreme authority figure, which suggests a decentralized structure of leadership in the early church, contrary to the hierarchical structure associated with the papacy.
In biblical terminology and context, elders shepherd, oversee, lead, and care for the local church”. “Elder” and “pastor” are not two different offices, they are simply two different words for the same office. The Greek term, presbýteros, meaning "older" is translated as "elder" in the New Testament.
“Elders lead the church [1 Tim 5:17; Titus 1:7; 1 Peter 5:1-2], teach and preach the Word [1 Timothy 3:2; 2 Timothy 4:2; Titus 1:9], protect the church from false teachers [Acts 20:17, 28-31], exhort and admonish the saints in sound doctrine [1 Timothy 4:13; 2 Timothy 3:13-17; Titus 1:9], visit the sick and pray [James 5:14; Acts 6:4], and judge doctrinal issues [Acts 15:6]. 💜🙏🏾

And what, Protestantism is the pefect solution? Martin Luther perverted Paul's epistles by adding the word "alone" to justification by faith 1500 years after Paul's letters were written. Many Protestants & Lutherans unfortunately now think one sinner's prayer will save one's soul even if one goes on sinning. We will be judged by our DEEDS, WORKS. -Romans, Revelation, Corinthians, Matthew, Peter, James, Timothy, Jeremiah, Psalms, John, Colossians. All of these books say that we will be judged and repaid by our works.
I can think of 20 heresies spawned by Martin Luther that pervades and perverts the true Gospel.

26Jesus answered them, and said: Amen, amen I say to you, you seek me, not because you have seen miracles, but because you did eat of the loaves, and were filled. 27Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that which endureth unto life everlasting, which the Son of man will give you. For him hath God, the Father, sealed. 28They said therefore unto him: What shall we do, that we may work the works of God? 29Jesus answered, and said to them: This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he hath sent. 30They said therefore to him: What sign therefore dost thou shew, that we may see, and may believe thee? What dost thou work? 31Our fathers did eat manna in the desert, as it is written: He gave them bread from heaven to eat. 32Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say to you; Moses gave you not bread from heaven, but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. 33For the bread of God is that which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life to the world. 34They said therefore unto him: Lord, give us always this bread.35And Jesus said to them: I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall not hunger: and he that believeth in me shall never thirst. 36But I said unto you, that you also have seen me, and you believe not. 37All that the Father giveth to me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me, I will not cast out. 38Because I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me. 39Now this is the will of the Father who sent me: that of all that he hath given me, I should lose nothing; but should raise it up again in the last day. 40And this is the will of my Father that sent me: that every one who seeth the Son, and believeth in him, may have life everlasting, and I will raise him up in the last day.41The Jews therefore murmured at him, because he had said: I am the living bread which came down from heaven. 42And they said: Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How then saith he, I came down from heaven? 43Jesus therefore answered, and said to them: Murmur not among yourselves. 44No man can come to me, except the Father, who hath sent me, draw him; and I will raise him up in the last day. 45It is written in the prophets: And they shall all be taught of God. Every one that hath heard of the Father, and hath learned, cometh to me. 46Not that any man hath seen the Father; but he who is of God, he hath seen the Father. 47Amen, amen I say unto you: He that believeth in me, hath everlasting life. 48I am the bread of life. 49Your fathers did eat manna in the desert, and are dead. 50This is the bread which cometh down from heaven; that if any man eat of it, he may not die. 51I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever; and the bread that I will give, is my flesh, for the life of the world.52The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying: How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 53Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say unto you: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you. 54He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day. 55For my flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed. 56He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him. 57As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father; so he that eateth me, the same also shall live by me. 58This is the bread that came down from heaven. Not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead. He that eateth this bread, shall live for ever.59These things he said, teaching in the synagogue, in Capharnaum.60Many therefore of his disciples, hearing it, said: This saying is hard, and who can hear it? 61But Jesus, knowing in himself, that his disciples murmured at this, said to them: Doth this scandalize you? 62If then you shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? 63It is the spirit that quickeneth: the flesh profiteth nothing. The words that I have spoken to you, are spirit and life. 64But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning, who they were that did not believe, and who he was, that would betray him. 65And he said: Therefore did I say to you, that no man can come to me, unless it be given him by my Father.66After this many of his disciples went back; and walked no more with him. 67Then Jesus said to the twelve: Will you also go away? 68And Simon Peter answered him: Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. 69And we have believed and have known, that thou art the Christ, the Son of God. 70Jesus answered them: Have not I chosen you twelve; and one of you is a devil? 71Now he meant Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon: for this same was about to betray him, whereas he was one of the twelve.
Clearly you dont know what you are talking about, its not a coincidence that those who reject the Eucharist are turned away from Jesus John 6:66. He word for word says Eat my Flesh, and the disciples freak out, and he doubles down and says my Flesh is BREAD INDEED. the only Mercy is the Catholic Church.
