This webinar will address both the clinical and technical aspects of Galaxy Diangostic’s diagnostic options. Dr. Amanda Elam will provide a full overview of their tick-borne disease testing portfolio with the goal of educating patients and practitioners.
About the Guest
Dr. Elam is CEO and co-founder of Galaxy Diagnostics, an early-stage medical diagnostics company in North Carolina (USA) advancing diagnostics and clinical discovery for emerging infectious diseases, like Lyme disease and cat scratch disease. In 2021, she served on the Diagnostics and Tick Ecology subcommittees for the federal Tickborne Disease Working Group and has subsequently shared presentations addressing bottlenecks in the national innovation pipeline for advancing diagnostics in the field of emerging infectious disease. Dr. Elam is also a Research Fellow at the award-winning Diana International Research Institute at Babson College where she conducts research on gender and entrepreneurship around the globe. She holds a doctorate in Sociology from UNC Chapel Hill.
It is troubling that insurance companies will not pay for testing for many of these diseases. Hopefully the government will change this.
I would like to connect with her please. I'm in north Carolina. I need HELP. I'm on disability and doctors only will do CDC testing on me that comes up negative. I'm very symptomatic with this and many co Infections. A naturopath did a hair and saliva bio energetic analysis testing on me and found I have 4 strains of lyme and 11 co infections. After getting the covid virus. It brought out ALOT of sickness in me. It's been 17 months. Yes rocky mountain spotted fever is on the list for me. I don't ever remember getting a tick or anything. This naturopath said I can get it through sex also. Which is how I believe I got it!! I need to connect with someone who can help me please. Thank you!
I am on disability but my insurance is Humana HMO medicare. Everyone tells me they wont cover testing. I don't have financial resources for 600. To 1,000 dollar testing. I'm tired of being SICK
Try applying for grant thru Lyme Tap for igenix testing. Then you’ll know what you are dealing with. Idk how accurate NDs are- I saw a few in my early years of sickness v& seemed to only get worse. Plants don’t agree with me (I found out years later) & that’s all they used unfortunately
