I think it depends on what kind of "dreams" you have. For example, if you dream about eradicating world poverty, the poor will actually care, but if its some personal dream, very few would.
@@omaralkammash9225 I doubt it. Most poor people would not be able to participate in that long-term process. They are mostly overwhelmed by short-term problems and thus would rather get some money now to spend now. Anyway, you are the one who wants it and you are doing to it to feel good for yourself.
@@luther7541 Maybe, but what I mean is that you might have some dreams that would matter to others, if the same dream is shared. When young, you have plenty of time and opportunity to hang out, so it generally happens naturally. As adults, you have less free time and so many things competing for your attention: family, work, exercise, hobbies, etc. You have to make an effort to maintain friendships or cultivate new ones, or else you’ll drift apart. If you lose your wealth, you have lost nothing; if you lose your health, you have lost something; but if you lose your character, you have lost everything.
To make it simpler. The most valuable 'things' in your life aren't things, but it is your essence. What kind of a tree you are, and what fruits are you producing, that is of the biggest value that we all as a human beings carry.❤
And when changing yourself doesn't work, then you have two options: an escape(suicide) or a cry for help(God). One embraces life, the other seeks death. One clings to pride, the other lets it go.
Yeah, but sometimes one fails in something they wanted to achieve. Not to close your eyes from that very fact is important whilst moving, just look at what you learned during that time, and you will benefit the most from it, even though i seemed to be a failure. Another good thing is when something happens that dissatisfies you to look at it as a blessing in disguise. Then you eyes change. Always lessons.

This is beautiful! I am 60 and agree with all of it. I'm living my dream life because I've gone against the masses and fought hard for what I wanted to do. It was hurtful, but also okay to see friends slip away as I grew. New friends come into my life. And you still hear from old ones from time to time. I hope to live to at least 90 to continue on this beautiful path of love, creativity, and success. 💖
17 - you are a reflection of the 5 people you spend the most time with: That person can also be the collective "person" on a social media platform. If you spend all your time on reddit or facebook for example, that will shape your world view, personality, sense of humour... Be mindful of it and don't forget to step back and think critically.
The hardest one to bite is 17:you are a reflection of the 5 people you spend the most time with...it kinda makes you doubt your marriage, family, friends...
The 5 people you spend most of your time with doesnt mean the 5 you are forced to live with. You may not love the company of your family. Ask yourself whom would you rather be with?? It's the 5 people that you would rather be with.
it hurts the worst because the perosn i hear the most is my mom voice chatting with her online firned orphan 24/7 and emotionally manipulate her while she's saying awful things about other people makes my heart ache (esepically when i realise i sometimes look similar to her in the way i talk, and also walk similarly)
Okay let's put a pin in this one right now. Everyone who doubts you will NOT always come back around. That bully might stay a bully for his (their) entire life, regardless of what you do with yourself. That girl (or boy?)who didn't want to date you will NOT always come back around, and they shouldn't. People choose you for their own reasons. You do not earn them like tokens for your progress in life. Your accomplishments don't entitle you to be chosen by someone. That choice belongs to the person for their own reasons. I'm commenting on this because I see this opinion as the seed to having a really bad attitude when you do accomplish things in life and people DO NOT CHANGE like you hope they would. You can spend a lifetime trying to make things work with certain people. It's not supposed to be that hard. Find new people.
I just never see the same people again. I think it would be more realistic and helpful to say: When you’ve had a bad experience, keep improving yourself because, in the future, it will feel like a big accomplishment to interact with the same type of person, but this time be the one they respect.
Some of this channels advice sounds nice but is pretty vacuous. Its exactly the same stuff you see posted on Instagram by every self obsessed influencer.
I think there is some nuance (reading between lines if you will) going on. The truth might be for someone in the middle of what was stated in video and your opinion. The person doesn’t have to come back (to appreciate you) to you but it’s a nice ‘bonus’.
You’ll be surrounded by “people who love you” as long as you aren’t doing better than them. Most people can’t read when their “friends” secretly despise them or worse, only look at you as someone who keeps them company..mainly because they can’t stand to be alone with their own thoughts. Don’t believe me? Start a business. Still don’t believe me? Grow that business. Many get pleasure out of seeing you do bad..that’s why TMZ is who they are. Take the gray pill 💪🏼: th-cam.com/video/XgcQ-Zg0Ya8/w-d-xo.html
I’ve realized that my actions and the things I do, and did are a reflection of my pain. The more I age and learn, I learn to take accountability for everything I do and just because I’ve been hurt doesn’t mean I have to hurt other people but hurt is all I know, I was taught to hurt. Moral of the story “Hurt people, hurt people”.
Talking about my feelings and expressing myself is what makes things better. When you keep everything in all you’re doing is hurting yourself by letting everything build up. That is also why I recommend talking to someone. I promise you will feel way better it will still hurt you won’t be automatically healed but it will help. - much love ❤️

Contentment is the core of happiness. Unhappiness has rejection at its core, rejecting the past forms depression, rejecting the present causes boredom, while rejecting the future instills fear It's all about rejection. It's that simple, forget the past, don't ponder on what could have happened or why things happened the way it did, be spontaneous, let go off daily routines, try new things, and fear not, for everything will happen the way they are.

Hey, man. I just wanna let you know that it is very rare for me to give a like and a comment to any TH-cam videos I watch. But I decided to give you one as you struck me with the 20th lesson. I've always been living by default and it never made me happy. Thanks for this one!
I'm a devout Christian and the last point at first sounded blasphemous without context, but the way you put it relayed that you meant it in said context and I was impressed, well said.
Good advice, but I have to disagree with 16. People who don’t like you *do not* come back just because your life changes for the better, and they shouldn’t have to because they have their own lives to live. The world and other people’s lives don’t revolve around you whether you stay the same or change. There are literally billions of people on this planet, just forget the ones that aren’t for you and move on.
Lovely. Truly good advice. Thank you, sir. I’m reminded of a time one of my nieces lamented that life might be meaningless. That it might have no purpose under the sun. I told her, if that’s true then lucky for us! That means this indifferent universe of ours has inadvertently given us each a blank canvas and a lifetime supply of paint. We get to GIVE meaning to life! We’re not assigned a purpose; We create our own from scratch. And while we could certainly scrutinize this analogy with discussion over canvas conditions and available paint colors, etc., it can’t be disputed that you’ll be happier if you do (at least the majority of) your own painting, you stand behind everything you paint (your convictions are yours, made from scratch using pensive consideration, and not merely inherited, borrowed, or adopted and then rehearsed from time to time), and most importantly, if you always remember that you’re allowed to change your mind. Always. Right up to the moment you die, after which you’ll either be a spirit in some sort of new realm (a scenario that’s simply pointless to worry about here in this life) or you’ll have cashed in on the second inadvertent gift from our bleak and meaningless universe: accidental mercy via non-existence. Instead of judgment day, a peaceful, painless, worry-free, dreamless sleep. Just like the awesome nap you had before you were born. And that -following a lifetime of giving meaning to the otherwise potentially meaningless- that’s still worth living for, don’t you think? Plus, if this is all just a pop quiz in God’s great classroom, then I have a strong hunch it’s not fill-in-the-blank, nor is it multiple-choice. They’re not collecting bingo cards or balance sheets at the pearly gates. It’s a single essay question and your entire lifetime is your answer. And having given meaning to that life and others, whenever and wherever it seemed meaning was missing, will earn you an A+ for sure. Now let’s just hope he doesn’t grade on the curve. Thanks again. Cheers! -Phill, Las Vegas

Seems like it's better to focus on skills other people find useful rather than a pure pursuit of your interests. You get the satisfaction of helping others and most often the financial rewards that come along. It's ok to have hobbies too but a big mistake people make is trying to turn a hobby into a job that no one wants to pay them for.
“Many people stop reading after college" About this, I think reading itself isn't the virtue implied by this statement; I think the deep introspection and critical thinking required to develop an understanding of a written medium's dialogue without being shown it explicitly, is the value that is implied with it. I say this, because I don't read a lot, but I feel this way in mediums that are more "accessible" to me like movies, video games, and youtube videos (some more than others). What do you think, is this a wise statement, or do I need to pick up a book?
You're right nowadays it doesn't have to be a book I mean, you can learn now from the movies you watch, video games, videos and some informative sites. The habit of reading and learning is what makes sense to it. But others read or watch something just for entertainment not really learning anything
It sounds to me like you've ticked all the ones about knowing yourself! I think it should more be inferred as keep learning, or pick up something new or mentally challenging. After all, re-reading the Harry Potters for the millionth time isn't going to improve you as a person, no matter how much you enjoy them. Perhaps a middle ground would be wondering around a bookshop or doing a reading quiz online and see what sorts of topics catch your eye or are completely alien to you and then watch videos on them?
Thank you for these videos - they're a great reminder that it's never too late, or too difficult to make those small changes that will make a big difference for your life
16 definitely should redone as it’s only half true, like status has an impact on your desirability, but circumstances on both persons could easily lead you out of that direction, “ie- conflicts, convenience, association and a change social personality”
What meditation is teaching me? When others are talking I really try my best to listen and not interrupt. And that isn't easy for me. Your purpose is to be YOU all of YOU. Never put it that way I don't think. Yep, you are the one who creates your own life.
Learn to not be so self centered and selfish!! Learn from your mistakes. Find what your good at/a skilled trade before your 21. Educate yourself. Be an Asset to your family rather than a Liability! Learn the word Respect. Don't be a Follower. Be a positive mentor to anyone. Do what makes you happy. Find hobbies. Life will always be a challenge that makes you stronger.
"If all you do is follow the same routine every day, you will never leave yourself open to moments of sudden discovery." That's a laugh for those who really have no other choice.
I don't think there ever is a "too late". If I go in with that attitude, it tends to demotivate me. I look at this video with the title: ways I could grow 🤗
I really like the tip about knowing yourself. If you know how you learn, and what your strengths and weaknesses are, you can manipulate them to your benefit.
In theory, i been doing this for three years and all i can say is you will have a tendency to show observer bias. You might have a good idea of who you are but then weigh that to real life. How often again will you use your strength into the future unless you develop another strength, or how well do you know your environment that it will exploit that same weakness. Over time the best thing each one of us can develop is patience, trust, hard work and endurance. I don't know everything nor claim to do so, but i can understand that wherever we are in this life or around the world even, whatever we face each day if we humble ourselves and face our fears or boredem it can reflect our true character content.
#7 "The masses are not the ones who live the lives they dreamed of living. And the reason is because they didn't fight hard enough" lol that is incredibly stupid. I myself live a good life, I have meaningful relationships, I have a job I enjoy that pays well, I'm reasonably healthy. But I don't have all that because I fought hard, it's mostly because I got extremely lucky. I was fortunate enough to inherit some traits from my parents that allowed me to "make it" in the profession I wanted, I was fortunate enough to have my parents around to nurture my natural talents and shape me in a positive way, I was fortunate enough to be born in a country with public healthcare and good public schools, so even though I'm from a poor family (grew up in a rented studio in a shitty neighborhood), I could still have the stability and opportunities that aren't as broadly available in most parts of the world. To judge the effort solely based on the outcome, not accounting for other essential factors, is just very ignorant and logically flawed.
“Your purpose is to be you. What is the meaning of life? You are your own creator. You are your own evolving masterpiece. Growing up is the realization that you are both the sculpture and the sculptor. The painter and the painting. So paint yourself however you wish.” ❤️❤️❤️
You need to learn about Trusting in others and Love from others. And I'm learning both. And learning not to be afraid of people. I'm slowly getting out of my shell and my Anxiety about being around people has eased some. It's taking time but I am trusting my neighbors. And trusting others. When I'm outside when they are. They will turn facing toward me. Which is teaching me something. I believe it's trust. And not be afraid. It's not easy for me. But to be able to be with him. I need to do this.
Thank you for this video. I can relate to 16 of these. The nonsense I've been subjected to makes sense since I can see it is preventing me from fully enjoying life. Thanks, I'm good.
It's your life. YOU are here for the here and now. Do what makes you happy, don't hurt anyone, if you have nothing nice to say about someone, say nothing. Life is a gift and you only get one....there will be sad times, but there will be more happier times. Smile at someone you don't know and they will smile back (you've just made someone happy). Even turning a different corner can alter your lifes path....but it was meant to be. This may sound strange, but read one chapter of a book every day...every single day (without fail) and you'll see a difference in yourself in a few months. You will expand your vocabulary, you will become more confident and people will pick up on it....trust me, and I challenge you to come back to me and tell me it didn't happen....good luck.
All easier said than done especially if one is a simpleton...most ppl are complex individuals with unique psychological profiles and experiences and unfortunately for a lot of us these days financial stress is overwhelming making it difficult to "better" our selves.
That's true, but at the same time, the process (I find) is often so simple. Hence, I find forgetting about all the hard parts and focusing on what's in front of me makes it easier. Best of luck to you!
TH-cam knows me too well. I enjoyed tremendous success in my 20s and early 30s. Then I faltered big time. And I can say from brutal experience that these tips are true.

I've experienced most of these to be true besides the one about people "usually coming around" when you do something noteworthy. Similar to your dream, most people don't give a hoot, and even when they notice, ifs not like they necessarily are gonna reach out and mention it to you. I'm the same way, in most cases; occasionally I catch a glimpse of what someone I used to know are doing now... doesn't mean I'd ever consider reaching out. It's more "good for them" and move on. I've been fortunate enough to regain touch with a few people I knew back in the days that way, but it's a rare thing that should be cherished when it happens.
i'd like to add 4 more, and those are: if we're ever friends and i dont look at you or talk to you for 1 hour, im not ignoring you, so dont go around our other friends telling them im ignoring you stop forcing people to do everything for you, learn to get up on your own, learn to do stuff on your own stop asking people for money if you wont even pay them back, and don't even think about forcing them if someone says no learn to accept it, its either, they really just dont want to, or their too tired to keep up with you
I somewhat disagree with # 17 , I have no friends and I’m surrounded by lazy /no ambitious people in my house . Yet I’m the TOTAL OPPOSITE, but I do agree with needing to surround myself with the people that want to grow too.
@@omaralkammash9225 Your missing my point. But your also right in a way. Lets say nothing is real it doesn't matter, the sun existing may not be true but it still holds the same amount of meaning to everyone because they believe its true its lost nor gained any meaning at all by being true or not.

To make it simpler. The most valuable 'things' in your life aren't things, but it is your essence. What kind of a tree you are, and what fruits are you producing, that is of the biggest value that we all as a human beings carry.❤
“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” 🙃

And when changing yourself doesn't work, then you have two options: an escape(suicide) or a cry for help(God). One embraces life, the other seeks death. One clings to pride, the other lets it go.
That's the beauty: changing ourselves from the inside out.

"Never mistakes, always lessons".
I take this. 👍
Wrong you need mistakes too

9. people talk more than they listen
10. creativity takes practice
11. “success” is a relative term
12. you can’t change your parents
13. the only person you have to face in the morning is yourself
14. nothing feels as good as something you do from the heart
15. your potential is directly correlated to how well you know yourself
16. everyone who doubts you will always come back around
17. you are a reflection of the 5 people you spend the most time with
18. beliefs are relative to what you pursue
19. anything can be a vice
20. your propose is to be YOU
You have my gratitude ❤️

This is beautiful! I am 60 and agree with all of it. I'm living my dream life because I've gone against the masses and fought hard for what I wanted to do. It was hurtful, but also okay to see friends slip away as I grew. New friends come into my life. And you still hear from old ones from time to time. I hope to live to at least 90 to continue on this beautiful path of love, creativity, and success. 💖
I love seeing this! You can’t wait around for everyone to live your life.
Uh... what if you only spent time with three people? I'm sure this has been more common during the last year though...
It is only true if you let it be. Growing up in a toxic house i had to learn to not let other people affect me and focus on myself no matter what

@M M no, thank you👍
Agreed. Some folk wisdom should be taken with a grain of salt.
I just never see the same people again. I think it would be more realistic and helpful to say:
When you’ve had a bad experience,
keep improving yourself because,
in the future, it will feel like a big accomplishment
to interact with the same type of person, but this time be the one they respect.
The real wealth is the health and being surrounded by people who love you is more important than luxuries.
...and more important than virtue signalling "Classy."
And I would think more motivating.
You’ll be surrounded by “people who love you” as long as you aren’t doing better than them. Most people can’t read when their “friends” secretly despise them or worse, only look at you as someone who keeps them company..mainly because they can’t stand to be alone with their own thoughts.

People closest to you are the ones who hurt you the most
I’ve realized that my actions and the things I do, and did are a reflection of my pain. The more I age and learn, I learn to take accountability for everything I do and just because I’ve been hurt doesn’t mean I have to hurt other people but hurt is all I know, I was taught to hurt. That’s deep.
You cannot have an anniversary of an event that has yet to happen. It’s like celebrating the day mankind landed on Mars....today.

Contentment is the core of happiness.
Unhappiness has rejection at its core, rejecting the past forms depression, rejecting the present causes boredom, while rejecting the future instills fear
It's all about rejection.
It's that simple, forget the past, don't ponder on what could have happened or why things happened the way it did, be spontaneous, let go off daily routines, try new things, and fear not, for everything will happen the way they are.

Your specific dream, no. But dreaming is a human condition and all decent people should care and want to support that shared reality.
Seems like it's better to focus on skills other people find useful rather than a pure pursuit of your interests. “Many people stop reading after college"
About this, I think reading itself isn't the virtue implied by this statement; I think the deep introspection and critical thinking required to develop an understanding of a written medium's dialogue without being shown it explicitly, is the value that is implied with it.
I say this, because I don't read a lot, but I feel this way in mediums that are more "accessible" to me like movies, video games, and youtube videos (some more than others). What do you think, is this a wise statement, or do I need to pick up a book?
You're right
nowadays it doesn't have to be a book
I mean, you can learn now from the movies you watch, video games, videos and some informative sites.
Reading is different than watching and listening lol so yes read a little here and there your brain loves it
