Brits React To Kensington - No Me! Reacting To A Band We Had Never Heard Of!

- British music expert (haha) duo Backstreet Gents react to Kensington - No Me. It's the first ever time the Gents have ever listened to Kensington. They hadn't even heard of them. It turns out Kensington are a Dutch Indie Rock band.

They have been in my top 5 favorite bands for the last 5-6 years. Their live shows are incredible, Eloi has such a special voice. You can check out some live songs from Ziggo Dome or Johann Crujf arena, they're explosive. This song is from their last album that was released in Nov 2019, it's a lot more introspective versus their previous works.
Thanks for the info about Kensington. This was our first ever time listening to them. We've had a few requests for some more Kensington reaction videos and I think one of them was for a live performance at Johann Crujf arena, so that will be up on our channel soon.
This has been one of my favorite bands🙃 They have also a very good show with Di-Rect on vrienden van Amstel! Very sad that the singer announced that he is going to quit at the end of this year🥺 really hope I get to see them one more time

I've read in the other comments that you'll be also doing one of their live performances in the Johan Cruyff arena. That's definitely their best live show, looking forward to it. The Netherlands has quite a few good bands (and quite famous ones as well). Kensington is definitely one of them.

@@BackstreetGents Kensington and Kovacs are nice ... but if you'd wanna experience a truly impressive Dutch act that most dutchies don't even know about, check The Gathering fronted by iconic vocalist Anneke van Giersbergen. They ruled Dutch metal/rock from 1995 to 2007 (when Anneke left them) and both TG and Anneke are still going strong. Signature performances worth a first listen are from their 25th anniversary concerts in 2014: start with 'Travel', then do 'Waking Hour' and top it off with 'On Most Surfaces' to get a first feel of their soundscapes and Anneke's unique vocal excellence.
Anneke also worked a lot with Devin Townsend and Arjen (Ayreon) Lucassen, a.o., and you'll find tons of videos of awesome live performances. Example of Devin Townsend Project awesomeness is 'Pixillate', performed during the 'By a Thread' concerts.
