I don't know if it's just me and my mind vicariously living through your videos or if the working environment at the hook up tackle is truly as awesome is it seems . Don't take me wrong , work is work but working around people who are like minded, in your guys and my case absurdly ate up with fishing . I think it has to be cool as it gets . The knowledge both of you guys have never stops . The levels of bass fishing junkie runs deep . The hook up tackle is the best at teaching something while showcasing a product for sale . You guys are awesome keep doing the great things y'all do . Seems like I'm but kissing and I guess I am but I truly injoy what y'all do . Great video guys! Was hoping for more break downs on “big baits”. The tag team effort of a conventional angler as well as a big bait angler really puts everything in perspective.
Talking about the hook set. My first buzzbait fish or two of the year, like you said, you go hell yeah and swing for the fences. LOL and no fish or it comes right off. It always take me awhile and a few missed fish to get it right.
I use the knot where you double the line like you’re gonna tie a Palomar but take the loop end and wrap 4 times then go through the big line loop. Can’t remember the name of it. It’s quick and durable
I've had the 3 piece PB and a 40 sized Spro in my box for a long while, and they'll be there indefinitely. On Havasu the 40 sized Spro is great for both species.
Rats work out here on the ca delta ! Crank it down around docks in current and let it get swept up underneath there . But the PB rat is a very limited rat it won’t crank down like better rats will . You want a coffin billed rat and definitely need to have a wood rat . Nez rat is OG .
My go to lures are swimbait, jig and mouse/rat those three lures will almost Always work, in ponds creeks and rivers. I've caught 6 in smallies on rats blows my mind
I love fishing the bucca bull rat but I have been thinking of purchasing the 2 piece pb rat. Can anyone tell me the difference between the $52 bull rat and a $120 pb rat? Is there a difference?
I dont know much about the bucca, but I can tell you the PB is resin and will last forever. The hardware is epic, the fish catching power is epic, and the action is on point. You never have to worry about the paint/color coming off since it's not painted. Floats incredibly well.
PB is an awesome choice and will last. Nothing beats the action. In the video we also fished the SPRO Rat. Another good option especially with their new rats coming out this fall. I keep both PB and Spro tied on all the time.
Smallies crush rats‼️ we didn’t get any smallies that day but I went out a couple weeks later and further up river and smashed a bunch of nice smallies on the rat

I think it's the most fun topwater u can use and pretty versatile depending on the bait u get. An I believe if trout will eat mice and small rats then bass surely can eat them. They even eat birds so why wouldn't they eat a rat.

Love rat fishing. Very effective during the spring, summer, and fall. Night fishing during the summer with rats is a blast as well.

100% a trout should eat a rat. I’ve caught largemouth, smallmouth, stripers and even a bluegill. Next on my list is a saltwater Calico!

I've seen fish eat goslings(baby goose), ducklings, snakes, lizards and field mice so a rat stands to reason would be a meal.
Rat fishing is big time fun! I recommend that everyone give it a try. I mean don't take any other bait. . . except another rat 🐀
