I've been needing to make a website for all my art stuff across all platforms, so I'm super thankful for Wix sponsoring today's video! Today, we're gonna cover how to make a website actually CLEAR for people to understand. Some websites nowadays overly focus on flashiness, and it becomes difficult to navigate, especially for recruiters. I'll also go over some mistakes people make like forgetting to edit their mobile version of their sites, overcrowding pages, and more. Wix makes it super easy to include other platforms as pages on your site, as well as what feels like an unlimited amount of customization. Wix is actually where I created my first storyboard portfolio after graduating, so it feels good to have everything come around full circle :) Hope you all have fun making your own unique websites!

omfg that's so weird, just last night i was trying to figure out the key differences between wix and squarespace, focusing on learning about wix, and now you upload a video sponsored by wix, which i never seen before x__x
yeah wix definitely just has more customizing options imo, but squarespace can be for those who want something straight forward and simple.

I never really showcased my art publicly but now I’m motivated to build a web site and portfolio more so jobs would accept me and I could do commissions. I don’t do art as often like back then because my energy’s declined but I’m motivated to try

Wanna point out wix reminds me a lot of Webflow wix is slightly better and more intuitive but if your just starting out and wanna do 90% of what this video explains Webflow is great bc you have access to all its features without buying a domain (although buying a domain is helpful once your ready to make that step.)
Tho this is still an amazing informative video and I’ll def be using her tips to improve my own website.

I use Wix, but I don't like how narrow the border lines are. It feels cramped, forcing everything into the center. It's frustrating when I need to display multiple images. Other websites let you go further out

I honestly think it depends on your preference. Wix allows a lot of customization for things as small as a button to a different page, and square space can be more simple for those who don't want to spend so much time "decorating" I guess. I have a squarespace for storyboarding stuff, but I don't really customize the aesthetic aspect as much since it's just meant to be straightforward!
Does anyone know of any cheaper alternatives to Wix? I'm struggling with having to pay for Premium Wix in order to link my domain to my site! :(

No hate but from personal experience WIX has been awful with customer service and helping clear your site when your account is deleted, to add you can’t live chat for help without being signed in even if your account with them messed up!! GREAT ART THOUGH MAIN POINT 🙏🙏
