    Venom in that shot!Could see you were disappointed with that putt,your usual calm exterior slipped a wee bit there!Then a wee cheeky birdie as you say it’s a funny old game.

    We all have those day in fact no matter how well i'm playing...I know i can have one of those at any moment. You got out of the bunkers nicely today, but the 3 putts added up...Pace was heavier than usual...Although that 40 footer lag was spot on. Still enjoyed watching, and look forward to the next..Keep it up!

    Another great video James. Practice your bunker shots by opening up your stance when you open your club face. it will get the ball up higher because the club will be flatter and will be more on line.

    Well played James, and shame about the near misses, could easily have been 5 shots lower over the 18, but as some have said here, good to see no blowout holes and snowmen as I recall from the start of your golfing journey. It's also good to see the way you don't give yourself "gimmies" or mulligans and play out holes, only way to continue improving and lowering the true handicap! Keep it up and you'll be down below 10 in no time :-)!

    I look forward to your videos, settle down with a nice cup of tea and a sticky bun and enjoy all the action - better than watching The Open. I don't know how you manage to drive 250yds, I huff and puff and just get over 200 on a good day. A pity about your usual reliable putting today, otherwise could have been a very good nine holes.

      Cheers Paul, my driving has improved recently as a visit to a Toptracer range showed me where I was going wrong. I wasn't launching high enough so dropping the right shoulder and setting up a little further behind the ball has given me an extra 20-30 yards. Thanks for watching :-)

    Good golfing James. your driver may not go extreme distances but it IS quite consistent. You know where it’s going. Your chipping and pitching also seems to be your strong suit. As such, may I humbly suggest you could benefit from being more aggressive in choosing driver on some shorter holes, giving yourself a closer chip on more occasions rather than a hybrid and a longer iron!

    Love your videos. So therapeutic to watch. A few of questions which are purely out of interest? Do you practice swing your drives? If not, i'm impressed by the consistency. Q2/ what are you using for ball tracking? and are you on the course on your own in these videos or with a camera-man. I wonder if you are talking to camera or a person filming

  • @TMar1961
    @TMar1961 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Good stuff James, us mid handicappers suffer when the putter misbehaves. Overall not a bad round and that venom driver shows that YOU can hit it hard and still produce a good drive; I'd recommend you practice that a little more and put it on your game. ⛳👍

    James, I watch so many golf channels on here, and despite all the exotic locations and 'high energy' razzmatazz of many of them, you have risen to the very top for me. If I could ask one thing though, no big deal, but it would make a big difference if you could sort your volume out in the edit, it's so so quiet. I watch TH-cam with my volume set to around 16-20, but I have to turn it up to 60 for your videos. No real issue, until the next video plays and I blow the speakers off the wall without realising. To be fair, this is more a problem for my wife and neighbours than me, as I watch TH-cam mostly at night when everyone else is asleep. Anyway, just a thought, everything about what you do is so perfect that I can put up with burst eardrums and an annoyed wife at 4am if that's what it takes... and when the next video is DHG, who's volume settings are unusually high, well, you'll hear that in Wales, and I'll still keep coming back. You have found a niche in golf, and it's brilliant. A thousand Krypton Factor points for you sir!

      @@notaperfectgolfer3489 Fantastic, hope it makes everything easier on the audio editing. It's been great to watch you as I've been trying to keep up with you handicap wise. I'm down to 16 from 'thirtymany' in 19 rounds over 18 months. But really I've also played 70+ rounds of virtual on toptracer which is where the improvements have mainly come from. Anyway, here's to more of your excellent content, and to me getting much more real golf in this summer. I'm definitely going to try somewhere in North Wales as I'm only in North Staffordshire and know the area well. I like the look of Hollyhead and Rhuddlan amongst others. Spent my summers in Rhuddlan as a child. 👍🏻🏌️

    Ain’t no sin in gettin tired. I know you’re recording but in real life it’s my opinion a golfer can walk off at one point. There comes this moment when you’re not really golfing and more “managing your exhaustion.” To me? It’s pointless. It’s not “giving up” it’s maybe: “clearing the head.”
