this really helped me out! My filter destroyed itself completely after I took it apart. Also those clamps are pex clamps that are 1 time use, you need a removal tool or get pliers and twist it off, even the approved replacement clamp is a worm drive.
Great video! All the others just replace parts, but you actually took the time to break out your meter and check voltages and resistance at test points. Excellent work.
Thank you so much for posting this. It was exactly what I needed to learn and I was able to complete this job in about 30 minutes WITHOUT taking the dishwasher out from under the cabinet. I wished I’d found this video before I changed the control board. I had replaced the pump and still had the same problem. After watching your video I went to measure the motor and it was open so I thought the new was bad. It was me. I didn’t have the connection pushed deep into the socket. Thanks

Thank you for this EXCELLENT VIDEO! I have a Whirlpool WDT750SAHZ, when I took my door cover off, all the electronics were on the cover. I wasn't able to run the diag cycle because the door was sensing open. So I pulled the wiring connector off the door sensor and used a small flat blade screwdriver to jump the terminals. My tests showed 120v at the control board, but the wash motor wouldn't run. I also checked continuity of the wires from the control to the pump, it was good. So based on these results I ordered a new pump assembly. Looks like a 3 week wait. : (
Good news, my pump assembly showed up today and thanks to your helpful video I was able to install it. The dishwasher is back online again, many thanks!!!

Great video. Good explanation. Camera shots were good. But your camera person should chew with their mouth closed. That was a bit annoying when trying to listen to your explanation.
Thanks to your video I think I’m seeing 43, 21 and 71 codes! I pulled the drain pump to look for debris. We broke a glass at some point. There was one tiny piece that I was able to retrieve. Previously replaced the water control valve. But it doesn’t seem to shoot water during the wash. Ours is a WDTA50SAHZ0, Whirlpool. Looks very similar to yours here. I’ll be calling your place tomorrow, Sunday here, but any tips???
I’m stumped, I have replaced the pump and still getting same error code 4-3. I’ve also replaced the water intake valve and the grommet . It will run for short periods but

Did this service not cost as much as just buying a new dishwasher? I can't imagine a heavier duty repair job. Also I would just disconnect and take the Dishwasher to the garage and do this standing, or sitting. It could feel dizzy bending down and twisting under there that much. Hello tks for the video. I just changed the motor only as the assembly is out of stock everywhere in Canada. Now i can hear the water inside the machine, the issue is, it gives a short spray in a 3 to 5 min interval. Im not sure is pressure or what but its too silent comparing with an cheap Frigidaire. Could tha be the divertor motor? Whater fills in and out normally. Also I hear some click noises from the assembly which did no happen with old motor. Thanks

Are you saying there is more than one pump on these things? My dishwasher brings water in and evacuates it, but sprayers don't work. Is this a circulation pump issue?

@@Appliancevideo I’m happy to order the parts but using the part number from kitchen aid - what they call a circulation pump does not look like what you replaced.
Yes there are two kinds of pumps. One called a drain pump and the other a circulation pump. Sprayers work when the circulation pump is pumping provided they aren't clogged or blocked physically.
@@drakedorosh9332 thank you for answering. I am trying to figure out if I need just a circulation pump. The machine brings in water and sends it out just fine but no spray. The video seems to be replacing more than needed on this repair. Just the circulation pump is 250-300 depending on where I order it from. I don’t know yet what the part number is for the whole thing so I don’t know the cost yet.
@@ezwider4652 My wife is getting impatient with me because mine is still not working but I can tell you that I know the circulation pump is comes on during diagnostic mode. I can feel the water being buffeted around. I whipped open the door and I expected to see water still flying but only some was coming around. That is not perfect. But- my problem is weird I think, the pump doesn't come on for most of the cleaning cycles except it did for "express wash" a number of times. The diagnostic code was about the float valve. The switch worked but the machine wasn't level. I fixed that and it worked. Loaded up with dishes but the problem recurred! The dishwasher above has a circulation pump that costs $108 on AmZ but was $250 for the top search response. Anyway I am a bit confused right now. I wish the diagnostic codes were more reliable and diagnosed things more completely but it still requires that scientific elimination thinking to zero in on the actual problem. For me it was not the float switch but the float switch was influenced by not being level. Each time you run a diagnostic cycle it may forget the error and so it doesn't yet know it is supposed to turn off the circulation pump? I will get it sorted out but I can def tell when the circulation pump comes on. Maybe I should just replace it and then keep replacing stuff till it works.
How should it turn ? Mine fills then washes but doesn’t wash and then stops and goes ... it isn’t clogged but the impeller spin ? Like free or when I turn it it almost is like effort to turn it

Thanks to the videographer for smacking gum right into the phone mic.

Where’s the fuse in this model?
How should it turn ? Mine fills then washes but doesn’t wash and then stops and goes ... it isn’t clogged but the impeller spin ? Like free or when I turn it it almost is like effort to turn it

I am just going to replace just the pump -- do you think I could do it without popping the whole sump out ?

@@Appliancevideo well, I tried, and the answer is no. Most defiantly need to take the sump out.
I did al that and nothing. Won't work. It keeps showing a 6-4 error. Already replaced the pump/motor assembly. The Tub sensor and the open valve sensor. Nothing. Nada. Wont Work
