Great screwdrivers. Another set with the cabinet tip slotted and the non-tapered tips are PB Swiss. Very similar 🤝

Nice review. Really helped me make a decision about which brand to purchase. I just started looking for a small set of screw drivers to keep in my office for those odd ball things I need a screw driver for. Was looking at Craftsman but decided to look around for something made in the USA. Tekton looks like a perfect solution. Thanks

I have the set, and its good. The markings on the end of the handle could be improved. They wear off pretty fast with daily use

The black handle tekton tri lobes wpnt roll off easily. Agree about the bolster, if they offered one or a hex shank, i too would convert to tekton only, buying a complete set like you. But in the years i have owned and followed they have yet to offer so ill just rock the four tekton i have, and mainly use my williams that look like the black snap on screwdriver in video. Are you listening tekton? I have wished this four years!

Wish they’d shorten the length of the smaller screwdrivers. The shank is too thin to be that long and feels like it could bend. Seems like they made them the same length to simplify production. Also don’t like the ground tips on the slotted. Feels cheap to me. Love the handles though.

Just curious why you don't like them? I'm putting together an on the road tool kit for work and considering the Tekton set.

@@youtuber5792 my experience with them is that to me they don't bite on the screw good enough. I love my other tekton tools but these and the flex heads I prefer a different brand screw drivers vessel flex heads I prefer locking Matco

My 22 pc Sunex screwdriver set works good $75. I probably won't ever buy anymore Snap-on screwdrivers.
Snap-on doesn't replace the whole screwdriver under warranty, they want to replace the blade only. What happens is by the time you replace blade twice, the plastic handle has degraded and cracks or chips. Snap-on doesn't want to warranty the whole tool.
The Sunex are probably the cheapest of any set and better than any retail brand. They may be warrantied but at this price you can just buy another screwdriver or buy another entire set. Beat on them, lose them, it won't upset your stomach.
The Sunex looks like it came off the same press as the Williams.
Those Tekton flat tip look very strange and not your standard flat tip screwdriver. The Snap-on so-called vapor blasted tip wears off into a very slick chrome tip.
It's just screwdrivers and most of the time if possible I grab either the impact driver or cordless screwdriver. So I'm not interested in any expensive screwdrivers like Snap-on anymore.
In fact, even though my expensive Matco are Witte but with SAE sizing instead of stupid mm's, the Sunex screwdriver blades look very similar to the German Matco! I'm not sure there aint some shinanagans going on at Matco.

are the shanks made in the USA or just the handles?

This is where the confusion starts.
If it's marked with a P then it's JIS standard which is higher spec than the standard Phillips always marked PH,
so if they're marked correctly then you have a better set than you first thought.
It is a nice set the handles remind me of Snap-On 👍

If you need a bolster on your screwdriver you don't know how to use your tools. Screws that you can't get out I'd rather have a striking cap. Using the bolster to add turning power, if the screw is stuck good, will only twist the head off. Strike it first with a hammer to knock it loose, screws usually come right out without using a wrench for extra leverage.

All about buying US when reasonable, but starting off saying the reason you picked this one between 3 brands is because it was made in the US really makes it sounds like a click-bait-y title at best....you could have just said 'Tekton is made in the US so you should buy it'. Stating that as a main reason sounds like it wasn't the best choice based on function or merit.

I probably could have worded the title 1000 different ways but wording it the way I did tells people why I myself bought it over other brands.
