    What a Beautiful song. I'm just now getting into vintage Hifi and today i picked up a Pioneer SX-1010 for $400. It makes 100WPC.
    I will be matching it up with some Klipsch KLF30. I now need to find me a nice budget Phono player.

    Well done!! The meters in between camera, speakers, and how you figure it out. The soundwave from the sound. Just touching your ears ( as a result pleasure with the energy of it!! ( melody waves).

    In 2006 i have elected this amplifier, this topology, as the best sound unit in the world..and i have shared...now a days i have even better units (more treble and less bass) than this one, but this unit is one of the greatest units ever made, the topology is the one produces the best sound.. was used, in the past, by almost all factories.. including guitar amplifier factories and also inside STK (Sanyo) Integrated Circuits..it is simple and great..and sound is awesome due to the simplicity..not having extra circuits that harms the sound...it is a "state of the art" circuit you have inside your beautifull case.... be proud of your unit..it is almost the best sound unit ever made in this world..others can beat in treble...no other one can beat the bass and no other one can beat the warmth of that sound

    Your video was posted ( the link to the video) as an example of quality.... i have posted an amplifier to share that had 600 people building the amplifier, this happened 2006) and was for free and as DIY project, as a result people is listening that amplifier all over the world..even in Siberia we have these amplifiers...and the schematic is almost identical to the schematic of the power amplifier you are using....so, your recording is an example of quality this kind of topology can offer us related good sound.... as you have a good recording camera (please inform, brand name and model) the quality demonstrated was fair related the real sound quality of such kind of amplifiers, and mine one has the advantage that has no aditional circuits that distorts the sound as switches, potentiometers, amplifier stages, connectors and so on....i have instructed people to plug the audio source direct into the power amplifier input, without the use of distorting tone controls and all that stuff that exist in preamplifiers that usually serves to harm sound quality.....but i never could make it so good as you have done due to the lack of good recording camera here at my home.... i have several cameras..but all them cheap and audio quality is not that good.... so, i have to thank you very much, as your effort not only demonstrate your unit but also mine unit too.

    DIY is a forum to share ideas and to help people to build stuff.... do it yourself is the idea...there we do not ask high prices for pcboards....we share these things there at cost price (almost)..then people united in a group buy order pcboards and assemble amplifiers at a very low price...this is the idea..not a business...a pleasure for people to do by themselves, with low cost, having the opportunity to listen great units without have the pay the huge amount of money these equipment cost.

    Boots kinda plays like Earl Bostic, I have the same 9090db I was thinking of connecting the Mcintosh 275 Tube amp to the Sansui.

    Pardon the noobness but why exactly do you need a AU20000 as a pre amp for a 9090? Wouldn't either be enough power on its own? Isn't the 20000 complete overkill just as a preamp? It's a amp/pre combo on its own....

      Another noob here, I got a 9090 from my late father, and a 20k is on it’s way. What do you think is better/different with a combo vs their sound individually?

    oh yeah, man you have some nice gear!!
    what speakers are you using?
    I can't reply to your other sansui vid, says it's private now
    I am using an AU-7700 and an 8080DB I love those amps. maybe eventually I'll get a BA/CA combo but for now these certainly do the trick
    cheers

      +galactagog Your 7700 or 8080 probably sounds just as good as the BA/CA 's, upgrading to them won't be much of a difference, I've tested lots of Sansui gear, I think it depends on what sound you like, each series has a different sound, for me, the 9500 is my favorite

    I just purchased a 9090 receiver , would hooking up my Onkyo M504 integrated amp be ok?

    • @hamiltonontkeith
      @hamiltonontkeith  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes just feed you rca cables out from your preout output of the 9090 receiver to the input of your Onkyo M504

    • @hamiltonontkeith
      @hamiltonontkeith  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would let the 9090 play on it's own, they are great sounding receivers with lots of power

      Also Im thinking I might get it. I thought it was darn near impossible to sound better then the au 20 000. or is it just a matter of personal preferenceand one out there could also choose the 20 000. or would 90 percent of the people pic the 9090. ?

    • @hamiltonontkeith
      @hamiltonontkeith  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@crapsterface specs show the au 20000, as superior, but my personal preference is the 9090. I do have a couple of the au 20000 and 2 of the 9090's. I don't listen to the 9090's as much, because the speakers I use need the minimum of 150 watts
