Don't say your all is not enough. If you've done everything you can do, then the results are out of your control. Giving it your all is the best and most you can do!
Admittedly a lot of companies college kids admire sound amazing from the outside. Less remarkable once you serve your time there. As life marches on, hopefully you determine what matters most to you and proceed accordingly.
You’re doing great Nico. You’re turning your situation around. Before your life was being controlled, and now you’re in control. It will be a process of getting over your setback. You’re using it as a springboard to better yourself. Keep going forward. You’ll make it one step at a time 👍🙋🏻😃
I love your mentality brother I think the same way I’ve always been told that’s impossible etc but they don’t get that if you want something bad enough you’ll make it happen with blood sweat and tears I look forward to seeing your journey and growing with you let’s go!
I think we've all been there with our past jobs and unfortunately all the way around I worked in hospitals in palliative care with the dying. The one thing I took away from a job I gave absolutely everything to is that we are all just a part of a machine that grinds on. That machine doesn't care about our blood, sweat and tears and giving our everything. It was a stepping stone to where I am today, in a job where I'm appreciated, a job I love, a job where people actually care and I'm no longer a cog in a wheel nor am I in the medical field. I'm honestly shocked after decades in medicine and now I am truly happy and at peace, I have and deserve that life. I think this was a blessing in disguise Nico, that door HAD to be slammed shut so you could move forward towards an amazing new life. Count yourself lucky you are #blessed. Nothing happens with reason/purpose in this world. You got this.❤
Very well said. Also had my fair share of layoffs and I’m very happy where I’m at now. I have a work life balance, love the work that I do and I’m appreciated.
Time will heal bro. It is like someone you love left you. You are still young. Just believe your life will be better soon. This is just up and down part of human. Best
That’s what I’m saying what are these guys doing wrong? I dont make as much as they do but still manage to live in a big house with two paid off cars but then again I do have my partner helping out so maybe that’s it? Two income better than one obviously. But they can still have a smaller house…
Hey you should look at a career in construction. Super high pay for someone who's in good shape like yourself. You could be making $50 a hour faster than your can believe imo.
Sharing your expenses of tesla camping would be very educational, How often do you need to charge your tesla and what it costs to charge. Good places to park.
We feel your emotions of the ups and downs after the Tesla layoffs. The grieving process and dealing with a huge financial loss is heavyweight on the mind.
it amazes me how bad employees get treated in the USA, In Australia, they must by law give you a minimum of 2 weeks notice, 4 weeks if you have been for for a few years. if more then 7 yrs they must pay out what long service leave you have accumulated.
I do not know who to blame or how to fix the problem but there is no way a wonderful intelligent young man should be without a home. Our society is so out of whack.
I would get rid of the house, pay down all debt, and live financially free. This will allow you to work anywhere, travel freely, and leave any job that no longer serves you. Consider moving out of state for better opportunities and lower cost of living-there are many wfh options nowadays. Fb, Tesla, Google, Amazon, etc..are all struggling …I worked for Fortune 500 company for many years, and when they did a mass layoff (and it happens quite often), it didn't matter how much experience one had. It's all about getting their numbers right; no one is safe. No need to be devoted to a company-think of it as a business transaction and it wouldn’t be too bad once you’ve part ways.
I felt similarly when NUMMI shut down in 2010. But times were different then. The economy was in the dumps, we got 8 months notification to make plans. But still wasn’t easy.
There’s someone else who got laid off from Tesla. I don’t remember his name but he posted his experience on TH-cam as well. Your parents replied to his post. You should reach out to him.

“to be ripped away by a SIMPLE SECURITY GUARD”… wow, somebody has an over-inflated opinion of themself. Keep one thing in mind - the simple security guard still works there.
I guess he is trying to say, no one gave them notice, no nothing except the security guard informing them that they didn’t have a job anymore when you show up to work like you always do for 5 years. That’s hard. Just my opinion. Don’t think he was trying to put the security guard down.
You're in the situation you're in because of market forces. Fewer people are now buying EVs than before. So factory production rates "have" to slow. Market predictions are that it's going to get worse across the whole car industry. The early market adopters have had their fill and the regular market is hesitant to try new tech until time proof is that it works. Presently, it "appears" that the charging and repair infrastructure for EVs is not even close to being there yet. It is clear that you are a very adaptable individual. 👍🏻🇬🇧
