Just wanted to say I appreciate that this incorporates really good level design and isn’t just a “hey look I made a block” I especially loved the way you keep introducing and checking understanding on the chest mechanics with progressive rewards and how each enemy has different rewards so there’s actually a reason to kill them and putting the mobs in holes right next to the creepers. This is the thing that modders usually suck at, so it’s cool to see it here
Really well said. "...different rewards so there’s actually a reason to kill them". Yes many modders just throw stuff in but it add little to no value.
potential softlocks: the first part of the cave only has two creepers, and if neither of them blow up the cracked stone, you can't progress the part in the nether with the three chests has only two melons to open them. If you had used the second melon on the far left chest, you would be stuck there. missed opportunities: the sponge blocks at the beginning should be slime blocks the golem should say something like "are we just 5 iron ingots to you?" instead of "do you ever say thank you?" the mini golems that he summons should be tuff golems (yes I know they didn't win the mob vote) someone else said this, but when you ground pound the golem, he should crack like he does in the game
The best part about this is that this isn't Mario's first time in Minecraft. All jokes aside, I love how the items and enemies from Mario Galaxy were well represented by mobs and other things in Minecraft like the turtle helmet as a koopa shell or the Ghast as those "Rocto" enemies. Absolutely ingenious!
This is without a doubt one of the coolest Mario mods I've ever seen, I have no idea how to hack a Wii/Wii U but I might try to learn how just so I can play Super Mario Gravity Can't wait to see more of your work!
I'm over a year late, but for Wii U I recommend following the official guide for installing Aroma. If I post a link my comment will probably be deleted, But the Wii U hacks guide is recommended over video guides as those get outdated quite quickly. As for Wii, there's a million different methods but letterbomb seems to be the easiest.
At first i thought this was just a minecraft video with mario galaxy animations put over top of it…then i realized it’s a real level! This is freaking amazing!!!! The nether blew my mind
Okay so just a few things to say: First off, this is INSANE. This is RiazorMC levels of crazy. The details are so great, and you've done everything so well! It makes my brain hurt (and that's a good thing in this case!) It's almost like, if Nintendo were to ever do a Minecraft crossover level thing, it would be like this. But that's the thing, Nintendo WOULDN'T do this. If the goal of Mario Gravity is to basically be like a Galaxy 3, then this would never exist and this kinda breaks that, it's not something a Galaxy 3 would have. But on the other hand this is so awesome that WHO CARES?! That's almost more of a positive even because this is more awesome than something Nintendo would ever do, so even if it's not something a Galaxy 3 would have, why not include it? If anything it would make it BETTER than a Galaxy 3 (assuming the rest of the game is Galaxy 3-level in quality, which, judging by the 3-galaxy demo several months back, it probably is :D). Now a couple critiques: if it's possible, I'd suggest changing some of the mob sound effects, specifically things like the Pigmen and Blazes which have actual vocals, to their proper Minecraft sounds. You could add Minecraft sounds for some of the other mobs too, but it's not as necessary. But that's probably a big IF, I don't know if that IS possible, but just hearing a Blaze make Kamek sounds is kinda weird lol. On the other hand, the default Galaxy sound effects for the Ghasts are already rather close to the Minecraft sounds, so I don't think those need to be altered at all, though putting texture animations on their faces would be nice rather than them just...sitting there. Also, having Galaxy's "puzzle solved" sound effect (hopefully you know what sound effect I'm referring to) in a couple places, like after you blow up the floor to progress in that one part, would be a nice touch, as would sound for the sizzling of the TNT. Now as for Steve, someone else pointed this out, but he needs some polishing up. His movement is kinda awkward, especially when he changes direction. He just kinda glides around. It's just not natural movement or convincing at all. If this can't be polished up a bit more though I understand; frankly, I'm surprised this can even exist in the first place! Also the fact that he hurts you is kinda random, there's no way for the player to know that, especially since he's not an enemy in actual Minecraft, he's the player. I think it might be better if he just kinda pushes Mario out of the way, like a moving block or something, rather than hurting you. Making the Whomp King an Iron Golem was perfect. However, a suggestion I would have is have the Golem start to crack with each hit if possible. Not only did the original Whomp King fight do this, but in the current version of Minecraft, Iron Golems get cracks in them when they take damage too. But overall, this is just absolutely crazy, and I LOVE it. This is already super impressive, just thought I'd add a few tips. Also, the Magma Cubes (retextured Lil' Cinders I see) kinda...float in mid-air when you stun them and they fall on the ground. If it would be possible it make them ACTUALLY on the ground that might be nice lol. Keep up the great work! Super hyped!
This Super Mario Galaxy Custom level is Really well made. The enemies have been remodelled to represent their closest minecraft counterpart. The planetoid's are made very creatively and the inclusion of the nether dimension really adds to the whole Minecraft atmosphere. I really enjoy what I've seen and hope to see more.
this is freaking awesome!, and super well made. i though this was going to be minecraft planets with nothing going happening on them, but you actually made the enemies move and stuff to collect. really creative and awesome work.
While I’m a bit disappointed that this was not a mod for SMG in Minecraft I have to say everything was very delightful and well thought out! Great work!
This custom map really tripped me out, gave me a real bizarre feeling but in a good way, overall map design is done right and creative, hats off to them for their hard work 🤘
Believe it or not, making something like this in Minecraft could he possible. There's a 1.7.10 mod for Minecraft called "Star Miner", and it makes these little planetoids Generate in the Overworld that actually have gravity to them. You can even change the gravity radius, whether they push or pull, and even craft the machine that changes the gravity! But here's the best part: If you have the item that sets planetoids to push or pull set to "push", and then to all the way up to world height, (in survival you'll need help from a special machine that launches you into the air) you'll be transported to another dimension called the "Geostationary Orbit", and if you're not flying in creative, the only way to move around is by punching the air to push yourself around, and the dimension is full of floating blocks everywhere, and planetoids with rings! And they're much cooler than the planetoids in the Overworld!
