I have stopped right in the middle because I'm so excited about what I have learned so far. I've learned a clearer and better way of doing THREE different things!!!! I'm so excited and happy that I found this site and I've looked at many. The music isn't even distracting!!! The views are at an excellent angle so that you can really see exactly what is being shown. Well, now I'm going to finish watching. Very well thought out.
Thank you for your kind response. I'm so glad someone is finding this helpful. I just like sharing what I make. If you need more clarification on anything or want a video on something specific, let me know!
Thank you very much for this video. I'm new on weaving and watched many videos but yours is really good. I love how you lash the yarn on and the moment you begin with the hemstitch 👌 One question how and when do you begin the second one? placemat?
I clip a flexible tape measure on the weaving and move it up as I advance the warp. I wove approximately 20 inches. For the second one, advance your warp and leave a gap large enough for your fringe on both mats, about 3;inches. Then start weaving the second one. I'll have to make another video showing that part, it's a good question.
@@anne-mariescheffer4691 I use a piece of folded up paper between starting the new placemat. This helps with keeping the tension when you roll the woven item after weaving.
Amount will depend on what size placemats you want. Mine were approximately 14x18 when finished, including fringe. I used a7.5 Dent heddle, 106 warp ends. I had a lot of yarn leftover, probably could have made a set of 4. Hope that helps.
I don't have any videos that go through the process step by step, but I am always making new videos so I will try to make some that are more detailed in the future. Thanks for watching.
