It's good that this _roughly_ explains what a season is for the Aussies, because so often you see stuff like "It doesn't freeze over in Australia, there can't be 'seasons'". Almost always that'll come from someone in the northern hemisphere, where summer is from June to August or so, and winter is November-February. Remember that as one pole of the planet cools down, the other side heats up, so much extra effort to protect machines and persons needs to be done, and it becomes uneconomical to mine during Australias summer months.
It’s the wet season that stops them mining, floods and severe storms, having all that equipment out in the desert is a giant conductor for electricity.

Too hot in mid summer. 40-50 c, too hot to work and machines break more in the intense heat.

I wasn't the oil checked every day before it was started that's the question you got to be asking yourself how much is that machine cost how much is oil cost check it every day don't wait for it to shut off

I honestly feel like chasing placer gold is gold mining for "dummies". 200 years ago any tom, dick, or Harry could actually find a placer deposit and get rich.... nowadays, keep your eyes up and learn something from everyone. Learn the difference from a load and placer. Or unoxidized and oxidized gold. No one can teach you knowledge without a willingness learn...... sulfide mining teaches you all the basics and more but most think it's not lucrative. Because finding a pyrite deposit that's lucrative..... who could do that??
