      TH-cam nails the channels if they use the whole episode, that's why they are the short version. There are some kicking around but you have to dig for them. No pun intended:)

    If using mercury has heavy rules and regulations for safety(rightfully so) why are they just running it onto the floor of the shop into water system or ground? Pretty sure that's not stuff you want to add the land and water system.
    Curious if anyone knows

      I think it bonds with the gold and forms the solid substance that they melt down to then recollect the mercury/ separate out the gold

    • @zahven
      @zahven 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @donaldkasper8346

      The mercury settles to the bottom of the pan, the water runs off. What runs off? Probably mercury at parts-per-billion in the water. I would think the water should be evaporated not dumped. There will also be trace mercury from flushing the amalgum and in the residual sediment.

      Depends on the price of gold when they sell it though. Gold is ridiculously high..or was. I haven't checked recently.

    • @amylee3531
      @amylee3531 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      BTW.. he paid 20k for that dirt. They made 55grand total. 25grand for running it is pretty sweet. You can't use weight of dirt to determine your outcome. Not for gold anyway

    • @donaldkasper8346
      @donaldkasper8346 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Generally mines these days have about a half ounce per ton at best. Usually much less, just a few grams. 800 grams, 28 ounces, so getting 2 grams a ton. 600 grams, 21 ounces, about 1.5 grams per ton. For that, they usually grind it up and heap leach it with cyanide on a big pad, meaning pad acres in size. But, that takes water.
