That's what I call some fun cutting! I'm a GM guy at heart but kinda like chainsaws, i like em all. Was in a friend's 97 7.3 5 speed f250 both behind the wheel and shotgun for quite a few miles. Was a darn good truck! Probably my favorite ford f-series!
The 630 is a strong saw right out of the box , I used up a bunch . The 670 was champion bucking saw , stock it screams , wore three out . Still have a dead one . 👍🇨🇦
Unique builds are the best man. Same with trucks! looking forward to the old 7.3. About a year ago or something I dented out my tailgate on a tree and swapped it out with an aftermarket welded steel tailgate, used some old chain for the supports, and attached a vise on it. I've used it for just about everything, and ive ran it into bush piles and limbs to move them and its strong as anything. Keep it up man!
Really appreciate the stuff you put out, have learnt a lot from you. Currently rebuilding an echo 702vl and have successfully got super xl auto, Husqvarna 40 and 4x danarm 55 mk2's ( I believe this the same saw as a McCulloch 55 also a partner 5R) up an running. I've never done any sort of mechanics before just love to tinker! Just got my timing wheel am very excited to try porting out! Again many thanks for sharing the knowledge!
My big concern is hard pulling the rope. You guys never mentioned compression relief. I have a husky 61 and a jonsered 625. They are a little hard to pull the rope. Also a 920. It’s a 2 fister.
You wouldn’t be upset if you did, the only down fall is on the f250s they have the twin I beam front suspension which can be a pain at times but the f350s have a straight axle which I think is a Dana 60
Tinman as a Ford guy with 2 daughters I just wanna toss a couple pennies your way..I had a 95 ext cab last year and our daughter who was a year and a at the time was almost touching the front seats. So as tough as it may be find you a 7.3 crew cab and have a truck lil Charlie can ride in till she graduates 😉
A back to basics & just having "fun" video. Intake can't be TOO long or it would be more sluggish than what it sounded like. Sounds like fun saw to run :)
I just picked up a 625ii a month or so ago and got the typical run around when buying it lol the guy told me it's got a 52mm bugbire top end on it and while working on it I tossed the caliper in there and sure enough it's the stock 48mm jug and slug...which is fine because I want to go through it this winter for my first time going down to case halves and I was planning on big boring it anyhow but it just sucks when guys try to BS you
@@tinmanssaws I started running saws in 1990 at 14. Did 20yrs straight in a production sawmill from '96-2016 and been on the business end of a cedar post peeler the last 7yrs
Hi I am looking for information what size are the seals for Jonsered 2077 turbo on the clutch side and on the magnet wheel side. And will the same ones fit the Partner 660 ?
Nice saw, nice to know your own saw and where it if finicky. It makes for a nice day of cutting. No cutting for me lately had to do the ball joints on my truck. I have all the tools but was going to get the garage to do it... call me lazy... but they wanted $1600 + tax😮. I said heck no and did them myself cost me $100 and a day for all four ball joints. They wanted $400 for crappy aftermarket junky ball joints. Crooks. Way over priced for the service you get now days. No garages for this fella if possible. Any thoughts on my 272xp that just fires and won't start, would be appreciated. TC Mahalo Tinman 🤙🤙🤙
Those saws work like wild animals in the colder weather and winter months , my saws run great when it's cold
Good little jonsered chainsaw buddy 😊. SAW in the wood STICK on the ice and RUBBER on the road . 😊
Gotta love a good running 630 Super!

A powerful ported saw with a sharp chain, what more do you need
Nice video Tinman!! That beast sounds pretty dang healthy.
Thanks Mr Ironman

Hey Stu
Where did you get your set of felling dog spikes for the 630?
Was also wondering that!
That thing is a beast!!
Hard saw to beat.

7.3 with a 5 speed are awesome I had one and wish I never had gotten rid of it
I think thats what I'll get

Just bought a 630 dont think its a super but enjoyed your video looking forward to running it
They are great saws
Sounds like a good saw. A little lean on the tune. Cheers

I am curious if I pipe on that saw would do anything to help with the idle or make it worse
Super duper
I just wanted to ask if there is a lot of standing water around you? Big problem .
I ran a pile of 625,630,670 back in the early '90's. Jst recently sld every 630,266,and 162 I had due to the vibration. Jst can't run em anymore
It's funny as beat up as my hands are these don't bother me.
@@tinmanssaws for whatever reason my 266 seemed the worse to me. All good mounts etc but it was like riding a old Harley lol

Popular firewood saw in the early nineties.
@@alanmeyers3957 sure was. We did a ton of piece cutting with 630's as well

Tinman what do you think a 2016, 372 special with a high top be worth? It's in excellent condition with 24" bar.
I need help with my 625 mk11 Tinman when you free bro ! Great video
Overkill, but fun.
This statement is most everyones’ goal, unless I’m missing something.
No such thing as overkill when it comes to chainsaw or any Motor power 😊
Hey tinman, awesome saw , how much intake timing and exhaust timing does it have Cheers

I'm getting ready to do another round of front end work on the wood weasel
I think you told us before....which model Jonsered compares to a 1978 Husky 162se? That's what I've got, thinking about tweaking it.
Yes 162se has the same cylinder and piston. The carb on the jonsered 630 super is much larger
where are you from tim man
Manitoba
She rips! What handle is that??
It's a 372 handle. I did a video of how to fit it way back
I have a newer Jonsered that LOVES to flood if I use the decompression button. Have you ever ran into that? Thanks Tinman.
I haven't but I'd be interested to know why yours is doing that.
@@tinmanssaws If and when I find out...I shall let you know. 👍
Just tap it in just tap it in give it a little tappy a little tap tap tap a little taparoo
How much you want for that saw. Lmk.
Comment from me
