I only recently stumbled across Ruthie singing Send In The Clowns and was totally blow away. So as soon as I was able to learn her name I started looking to see what else she sang and caught her All That Jazz but when I heard her sing Liike We Never Said Goodby and that was it, I was hooked. I have been thinking of sending her a letter and ask her if she would marry me, lol. If one looks up the word CLASS in the dictionary it says see Ruthie Henshall

SHe is astounding!!! She never ceases to amaze me and while she is too young at the moment to play this role, I can't wait until she can :-) I like that she used Barbra Streisand's lyrics too. They work better when this song is done out of context
Interesting alternative lyrics huh? Wonder if they are Lloyd-Webber approved! Ruth has a tendency to squeeze out notes from her throat, but I have you give it to her she really opens up here and chest-belts in all the right places for full effect.
I've listened to Babs' ad nauseum over time and... i dunno. love this just as much if not more. more subtle... more nuanced... just different. personally i prefer it. :) obviously they're both fierce. and i may be forever biased in Ruthie's favor... can't help it!

I am actually a fan of Ruthie's... but in this performance she sure wasn't at the height of her juices. Listen to Streisand's version, and you'll know what I mean.

These are the lyrics that Barbra made up for her come-back concert in 1994 (I think). The lyrics Glenn sings are from the musical.
Lost her vocal control a bit after her growling, "I've come home at last," but still a superb performance.
