    I would have replaced the throw out bearing for the same reason you replaced the rear main. It's cheap and it'll drive you nuts if it starts to go. Chances are the clutch will die long before the bearing in this case especially with forced induction right? Can't wait to see!

    • @2zzlow
      @2zzlow  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed I probably should of replaced it but I’m getting my original corolla c60 fully rebuilt with carbon synchros so I’m sure I’ll swap it out before the throw out bearing gets to that point.
      But then again throw out bearing had 35k miles
      Original Rear main seal had 230k miles

    I recently installed an act clutch. I looked up torque specs and saw 27ft lbs. You say 14ft lbs. Would tightening it down too much cause problems?

    • @2zzlow
      @2zzlow  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      27ft lbs seems like a lot for a small 12mm bolt.
      Honestly it’s the flywheel bolts that are much more important since it’s the one attached to the engine.
      I just did the pressure plate bolts tight enough since I read online 14ft lbs and that’s not a lot.
      Just be careful to not tighten it too much of you will strip it

    Have you ever been able to remove a manual C60 transmission off a 2zzge engine without removing the whole engine? I just reinstalled my 2zzge engine back in and I"m now having problems shifting into 6th gear. I'm hoping I don't have to remove the whole damn engine again in order to remove the transmission any input would be appreciated.

    • @2zzlow
      @2zzlow  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      thats alot of work, its easier to just remove both and reinstall both at the same time.
