I don't know why but the Grand Influencer saying "You know who we are." And the Saloon Keeper responding, "Um...no." in such a deadpan way made me laugh more than it probably should have.
"Either way strutting was dumb, and I wasn't having it! Anyone can do it, which makes it peak poser behaviour." Larry speaks truth - gotta appreciate those moments of clarity when they happen.

Reimagining the giant sand whale as a pop-up sushi bar is just very funny. You guys have a hilarious way of taking this kind of fantasy/sci-fi and making it very innocent and mundane, it's great.

Low? Twitter followers are everything, they are what fills the universe and makes it go round and round. When a mighty influencer says your club sucks, it is truly over. The stakes have never been higher! Nor will Obiwan if he gets the 50 bucks.
And yet the stakes are higher than the Disney's, because in that show you know everyone survives. But this show got me hooked from episode 1. Does he still have the moves ? Can he stay clean ? So many questions, the tension is keeping me awake at night !
1:50 Back in the 90s me and my RPG group came with a detailed theory that Anakin turned to the dark side because his wife had an affair with Obi-Wan and Luke and Leia MIGHT have been Kenobi's children. It perfectly explained why Obi-Wan is so awkward and, well, dishonest when explaining the past to Luke.
In the time between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith there was indeed a widely circulated rumor that Anakin's fall to the dark side was the result of him falsely believing that Padme was cheating on him with Obi-Wan. It's not exactly what you and your friends were thinking...but many fans thought the story was going in that general direction. I can't say for certain, but I suppose the storyline that appeared in Episode III, where Anakin becomes convinced that Obi-Wan turned Padme against him, could possibly be the remnant of a love triangle plot that was changed in the editing process.

The first time I heard the line "I'm pregnant..It's Obie's!" I laughed my head off for 5 minutes, out of control laughter! When I saw the recap at the beginning of this video and that scene happened again, I cracked up all over again, like I had never seen it! It just strikes me as so fricking hilarious! I still have tears on my cheeks as I type this :D
This one stands out to me as well. It's sooo well timed and the voice acting is so on point. Perfect break with the original structure. Even stronger than the "so creeped out" after Anakin does the lusty eyes.
Kenobi was actually pretty good, mainly because his character art fits with the Disney paradigm, whereas Bobba was a bloated Pensioner trying to be a badass and Mandalorian was too formulaic
Disney's Mandalorian is better than both Boba and Kenobi, starting strong and ending weak. It was the first introduction to a live-action Underworld reminiscent of those seen in Clone Wars, and was legitimately enjoyable 80% of the time. Boba managed to be weaker, all the way through. Kenobi is even weaker than Boba in some respects; they somehow made Kenobi's fight scenes WORSE than the ones in Boba, which is honestly pretty impressive. Kenobi's lightsaber fights almost made the Sequels' fights seem decent. Kenobi managed to be lore-accurate on a grand scheme (Obi helping Leia was always canon). Pumpkin Man and Angry Lady aside, they still managed to have *terrible pacing* and kept Obi too deep in wet-sock mode, while making Vader incredibly ineffective. But I have a feeling Auralnauts is about to make Kenobi the best one of the lot thanks to Larry coming back!
The hate is strong in you. That makes me sad. Kenobi was rad. It just wasn't what you had already decided it should be. I remember when I experienced that with episode 1. I got over it. I hope you do too.

That cut from 'Promise me you'll be the best father in the galaxy' to 'I prefer cash' had me crying with laughter. Had to stop the video for 5 minutes to calm down. Brilliant.
3 things. You are getting to Mel Brooks territory here with the writing. Bravo. The Jump Joke is a dead artform and this is a masterclass. I know the joke is coming but have only the slightest idea what the joke will be (11/11). But... whomever put together funk/strut Star Wars music and mixed this beauty is another masterpiece in my opinion. Use good headphones to listen to this mix. You will not be a poser.
The music in the background of the strutting sequence is actually the backing track for the song they used in the trailer, "Waste Our Time" by Jane & The Boy! The Influencers' strutting music is also excellent though, I suspect that one is an original track.
This whole series deserves way more attention. Also if you're just watching it now (as many seem to quote the recap) go back and watch the original episodes- truly incredible stuff 😂
Padme digging Obi-wan over Anakin makes for a more believable turn to the Dark Side. Anakin: "You were supposed to be my bro, bro!" Obi-wan: "Don't try it bro. It's high ground, bro." Anakin: "You knew I liked her first, bro!" /jumps Padme: "This is hot." Palpatine: "So's the lava."
I'm not even joking when I say I'm looking forward to the rest of Larry more than I've been waiting for Kenobi. And so far, unironically, Larry has been worth the wait more than Kenobi. This is absolutely brilliant, the way the whole Auralnauts extentended universe works together and constantly expands.
Okay, so time to start this debate: When showing Auralnauts' Star Wars to someone for the first time, do you watch "Larry" before or after their original trilogy parodies?
I'd go with before since the OT parodies don't really focus on the Kenobi storyline. But either way is good. These parodies are my favorite thing on TH-cam.
Ooooof... Tricky. I'd say yeah let them watch this first, because it sums it all up so nicely, and then show them the originals when they inevitably go "HAH! Show me more!".
My favorite minor detail of this is the way Luke's reaction shots are edited - something about that slightly open-mouthed, wide-eyed nod in response to Larry's musings always gets me.
I loved this, from the inquisitors dissing that bar, to Obi wan calling them losers just like that, to the attorney, and finally to the ending when he kicks Luke out of his house, this was hilarious

It’s incredible how good your editing and comedic timing has become! This is one of the best channels on TH-cam in my opinion. You never fail at overdoing yourselves with every video. Can’t wait for episode 2
The algorithm randomly recommended me "Revenge of Middle Management" today, and it's one of those rare cases where I'm glad it decided to. I didn't know this was a type of content I would be interested in, but I've actually found that video and this really funny. An exceptional-quality YTP reinterpreting the story of Anakin and Obi-Wan as two 90's stoners, one railing against the modernising world and the other accepting it. This one of Obi-Wan Kenobi is just as good - the story of a 90's stoner in the 00's, with the framing device of an old man remembering his more rebellious days. I still can't think of many other times I've laughed quite as much watching a TH-cam video as at the Gilligan cut, "He is wasted" / Obi-Wan hurling himself into the balcony
Jimmy Smits character when he answers the 'phone call' is just perfect in this parody. You can just hear he's already over it. And then the prospect of not giving Obi-Wan a loan resulting in serious legal trouble- You know Bail caved in. He's half man / half politician, afterall.
RIGHT?! That's what's so infuriating with everything Star Wars past the originals- the story lines suck so much and with just a few adjustment like Auralnauts do they could be so great. I unironically claim that AN's take on the saga are WAY better stories than the turds that came out of McFranchise hollywood.

I genuinely believe in the Star Wars multiverse. Theres the canon storyline universe, and the Auralnauts dance fighting universe and I will not be told any different!
You know what makes Auralnauts dub so good? They actually make it sound like the characters are outside on locations, with all the proper echo and reverb and not in a dam studio. That's what makes the voices feel so natural.
Just finished watching the entire Obiwan Kenobi series today. My eyes are still red and watery, I am now sniffling my tears and laughing at the same time.

3 things. You are getting to Mel Brooks territory here with the writing. Bravo. The Jump Joke is a dead artform and this is a masterclass. I know the joke is coming but have only the slightest idea what the joke will be (11/11). But... whomever put together funk/strut Star Wars music and mixed this beauty is another masterpiece in my opinion. Use good headphones to listen to this mix. You will not be a poser.
The music in the background of the strutting sequence is actually the backing track for the song they used in the trailer, "Waste Our Time" by Jane & The Boy! The Influencers' strutting music is also excellent though, I suspect that one is an original track.

I'm not even joking when I say I'm looking forward to the rest of Larry more than I've been waiting for Kenobi.
And so far, unironically, Larry has been worth the wait more than Kenobi.
This is absolutely brilliant, the way the whole Auralnauts extentended universe works together and constantly expands.
Yeah been waiting for this. When watching Kenobi, and it sucked, when certain things happened I was at least like "that has great Larry potential!"

I'd go with before since the OT parodies don't really focus on the Kenobi storyline. But either way is good. These parodies are my favorite thing on TH-cam.

The algorithm randomly recommended me "Revenge of Middle Management" today, and it's one of those rare cases where I'm glad it decided to. I didn't know this was a type of content I would be interested in, but I've actually found that video and this really funny. An exceptional-quality YTP reinterpreting the story of Anakin and Obi-Wan as two 90's stoners, one railing against the modernising world and the other accepting it. This one of Obi-Wan Kenobi is just as good - the story of a 90's stoner in the 00's, with the framing device of an old man remembering his more rebellious days. I still can't think of many other times I've laughed quite as much watching a TH-cam video as at the Gilligan cut, "He is wasted" / Obi-Wan hurling himself into the balcony

You know what makes Auralnauts dub so good? They actually make it sound like the characters are outside on locations, with all the proper echo and reverb and not in a dam studio. That's what makes the voices feel so natural.
