Great review, good to hear how the drive feels in these reviews, something that isn’t really stated in other reviews. Love the format and charisma. Subbed!
One of the best ev i have driven till date and the pilot assist system is way too good and top of it 5 star euro ncap yes the deal breaker is no cover roof but i didnt feel any heat inside when driving in malaysia they give a roof cover and its double glazed
For climatisation you can speak to your car and tell "it is too warm here" or something like "I feel too much ventilation", and all of the others users can talk too to their car they skate with you! You do not loose anything, you enjoy together, this is why Xpeng Motors' vehiclesneed to be considered as a real protective friend, not as a simple car...
3:50 I am not sure if that’s the purpose as each key is unique to one G6 car and each can authorised up to an additional 4 keys (i.e the XPeng app on 5 phones in total). I think it’s more like 5 different driver profiles to the same G6 car instead of same driver profile to another G6 car.
You're absolutely right, that's the main purpose! From what I've been given to understand, the profile in your phone does affect the vehicle's settings, though. So I think if you buy a new G6, it'll carry over your existing settings, like when you go from an iPhone to a new one. Not sure if the same applies to when you buy a different model, though....
Very good quality review subbed!. Enjoyed watching this and the small fun facts on the founder too. Keep it up! I currently drive a Tesla Model 3 2024 in SG but this definitely caught my eye when i saw it on the road!
You mean under the bonnet? There's no engine there - from the look of it you have an inverter and motor controller, plus the a/c compressor. I'm sure there's some cooling hardware for the battery pack, too. I don't know how much servicing costs, but the actual servicing needs are pretty minimal. According to the owner's manual, the first year's servicing is nearly all about visual inspection! There's some tightening of bolts if necessary, plus lubing of various parts (like the door hinges).
The build quality is really good, center console is solid, materials feels good, lower plastics are the hard type, upper is soft, all over the vehicle. Certainly better than Tesla when launched and over the years. Also seems to ride softer (still on the firm side) and wind noise is suppressed thanks to double pane glass and the windows have better sealing.
Took the words right outta my mouth! :D Fully agree with you about the ride quality, too. Although the next Model Y will probably be better than the current one over bumps
@ It would have been nice if they added adaptive shocks to change with the drive modes, at least on the longer range version. Not sure if the AWD version in China and Europe has that, at least we could have a different ride feel depending on the drive mode.
Lower range version has a 66kWh LFP battery, long range has 87.5kWh NMC type, DC charging time is 20 minutes from 10-80% for both, 215kW for the lower range version and 280kw for the long range. AC charging is via 11kW system SR is 7.5 hours, LR is 9.5 hours.
Ordered the G6 SR in Hong Kong. Will arrive in Dec. SGD 49,000 with One for One Scheme. The ride based on my test drive is comparable to our previous car which was an Audi Q5, not too firm and not too soft. Definitely a more comfortable ride than a Tesla, especially in the back seat. My only negative is the emergency door latch in the backseat. It's a plastic ring on a string which looks a bit flimsy and clumsy
I checked it out a couple days ago, for me, I would have liked the seats to be able adjust the front and rear cushion, not just lift the entire seat, plus, better bolstering on the seat and seat back. It has seat controls in the screen which I don't recommend using, they are way too fast compared to the physical controls, lumbar support is also in the screen, would have preferred it to be on the seat and it doesn't have a leg extension for the driver. In the rear the cargo cover leaves a space behind the seat when in the upright position, some vehicles allow for 2 placement positions or have a second pull out option to cover the gap when upright. Minor things, which they can correct in future build (or software update for screen seat controls), if they do like Hyundai and KIA did and implement customer complaint fixes in the next build cycle or model year, when they started their rise with the European folks on staff.

How many golf bags? Cuz like the BYD seal you can't even put a single golf bag :(

Good review. Diction and pronounciation is clear. Looks like a great car, but with the prices of car being crazy these days, few can afford it.
True, no thanks to PAP for the COE that they planted in for buyers.
Thanks a lot! :D You're, it's a shame about car prices... Makes you wonder who is still buying! :'(
800V architecture? SACHS suspension system?
Yes and yes

Good review overall. 👍🏼
Thanks 🥳
Did you try the sound system? I tried it when I test drove it and didn’t find it very good.
Sure did, but I have to admit I don’t have audiophile ears 😁 Very much liked the sound system in the Zeekr X though!
@@MrChiaSG agreed - tried the zeekr after
Does it have a piece of plastic cover to protect the engine? And how about the cost of service?

@MrChiaSG thanks
The roof without cover in sunny Singapore is a deal breaker for most people.
Just buy an after market one , not expensive
I only wish more car companies would understand this
@@Vexterian it is hot here in Queenslands too. I have been watching a few videos and nobody has mentioned it getting hot . It is very well insulated

Still have reservations over EV… lasting 10yrs & potentially beyond.. nonetheless great review!
Thanks! Let's talk again in 2034 😂
Nice review but maybe u can add the AC and DC charging speed of the car that will be great!

Thanks for that :)
@ You’re welcome.
Im waiting for the P7i or the older P7 wing 🪽 doors sedan to arrive.. in Sg. 😂
Wing edition for the win! Meanwhile the GAC Aion Hyper HT is waiting in the wings (sorry, couldn't resist!)
why dont anyone shows the app???:(
Probably because it's pretty standard; it's very much like the other EV ones (or even ICE ones from the likes of BMW and Mercedes)

Very nice! Looking at your price be like 😭
The car is fast enough but you live in Singapore 😢
the AC and no Cover Roof - a real turn off
Seems like an EV thing - many of them are guilty!
I read the glass roof panel has anti glare and heat layer protection against strong sunlight 🌞.. to reduce heat input from the top glass.
@ they all do, but it’s never enough 😓
are you amos yee father ? the way you talk lol
Not sure how the senior Mr Yee talks, but I hope I get to meet him someday!
Spending a short time with the car you do have many peeves...
