If you want someone even more emotional you should check out Dir En Grey, Kyo is such an amazing vocalist and very expressive. I'd recommend the song "Ware, yami tote..."
I got a big ol' hug from Charles Bradley in Philly. At the end of his show he came out into the crowd and generously distributed hugs to anybody who wanted one. It was amazing.

You should definitely check him out! Inspiring life story. It explains why it rips through your heart when you hear him sing. (But he also really enjoyed singing because it was a late calling if I remember correctly.)
The story of Charles Bradley an inspiring one more than anything. He was born into poverty, worked hard all his life, and worked his way up from the bottom. He sang for most of his life, often while working other jobs, and didn't really make any money or garner any fame at all until about 2010, by which point he was already in his 60s. He died in 2017, but those seven years in between justified all the hard work and sacrifice. He got a record contract, recorded albums, toured huge festivals, got the fame that was long overdue, appeared in TV shows like Luke Cage, and died surrounded by his friends, family, and the musicians he'd worked with those seven years, doing what he loved. And he leaves behind a legacy, a great story, and some of the most amazing music you could ever hope to hear.
I had only heard of him a few years back when he voiced the Krampus in an episode of American Dad. I was like...WHO IS THIS!? Had no idea he had passed
My mama passed away this September 23rd. I flew into LA to see her. Beth, I followed your vids to some of my favs songs for awhile now. Love your technical assessment and how you study the range of vocals to a measure of mathmatics. Some artists' reach a scale that is indescribable but you did it in 4 syllables.... "He just lived".

Thanks for this, RIP Charles one of the all time greats. I’ve had tickets to see him twice, and was never able to. When he first got sick and had to cancel, and a few years later, when he passed away. It kills me every time I hear him still. 😢
The screaming eagle of soul, what a performance!
Words cannot express the joy I have that someone recognized, respected, and posted content regarding this great session
RIP Charles.
His cover of nirvana stay is amazing too. He was an epic tallent and deserved even more success.
I get goosebumps every time i hear this song it's just so perfect for anyone to understand and take it for there own life.
I miss this man so much. I feel very lucky to have seen him live.
Seeing him at Glastonbury festival in 2014 was one of the highlights of that year. Rarely have i seen a performer who was so gratefull and happy to be on stage. We were standing in the pouring rain and everyone was mesmerised!
Perfectly Human.
That was beautiful.
One of the best comments, from the original video on TH-cam is, "This is the rawest expression of the human soul available online."
Cannot agree more. RIP Charles Bradley.
Wow he had very powerful vocals at least he's with his mother now I'd like to think that. Great reaction Beth
I discovered Charles Bradley on accident one day and I've never looked back. His voice pierces the soul.
The Screamin' Eagle!! 100% soul, this guy is in his own league.
Ryan Murray his voice wasnt pretty likr sam cooke or smoothe like Otis it was so so raw and real and full of pain. One of the best Soul singers of all time Made some of the best modern day Oldies he just seemed like such a nice cool guy too. RIP CHARLES BRADLEY
Thank you Beth because you show me the singer makes me cry every time i listen one of his song, definelity he touch or souls and is a shame i discover him when his pass away in 2017
So much soul on this... I've cried here too o/
I heard this song years back and it was so amazing to hear.I recently lost my grandma and it has completely changed it for me to every time I hear it I cry a bit but I’ll never stop listening to it rip Charles thank you for the amazing sounds.
This was an amazing version of Changes. I'm a huge Black Sabbath fan and didn't think anyone other than OZZY could do this song justice but I was wrong. ❤️❤️🖤🖤🖤💋💋💋
I love the original version. This is just something else! He really made it his own in a special way. RIP Mr. Bradley. Thank you for reacting to this Beth!
It does touch souls it made me appreciate my mother more
He moves me, grips me and shreds me to pieces. What an artist!
Very lucky that I was able to see him live at a festival he was amazing , great performer.
Bullshit
I remember when this video came on youtube, I watched it repeatedly, coming back days and weeks later just to hear it.
I am glad You checked it out
thank-you
" I feel like I'm going to need a nap" lol
im crying with you beth. Never would have seen that with out your channel, thank you.
Love you mom. Thanks Beth, been waiting for this one a while now.
Beth, I followed your vids to some of my favs songs for awhile now. Love your technical assessment and how you study the range of vocals to a measure of mathmatics. Some artists' reach a scale that is indescribable but you did it in 4 syllables.... "He just lived".
When I first heard this song I just broke up in a long relationship and I cry like a baby
RIP charles bradley this guy was the reason why i got into blues
Sabbath wrote this song for Charles Bradley. They just might not have known it at the time.
So well achieved this emotion that so many of us… if not all… have felt when you have to let go to someone that you really love…
Do a reaction on Etta James “I’d rather go blind” live at Montreaux 1975, pretty please 🙏🏼😊
2nded
That is an amazing piece of singing at Montreux!, she’s singing without a mic but still blasting it out!.... truly stunning.
Please keep doing lesser known people Beth. this is soul ive needed to hear in my music lately. its been a long while since a singer has brought tears to my eyes
Beth if you're interested in the genre take a look in the new wave of artists, eg. St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Alabama Shakes. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised, big voices.
tomjoad Alabama shakes is amazing
Alabama Shakes r pretty amazing
Just came from the St Paul and the Broken Bones tiny desk concert, they're outstanding!
St. Paul and the Broke Bones are fantastic.
alabama shakes for sure...
This man literally makes you feel like his physical human heart just spilled out of his chest right in front of us. But instead of being horrified, it's beautiful.
