Yea, it does make compressing the piston easier, but they do have a vent hole if the cap isnt removed

Battery dies and check engine light is on, what it could be? i charged the battery everything works fine for the 1st 100miles then check engine light goes on again and it dies. Not sure if it's Alternator Code doesn't show anything weird. Any idea?

Do u have a multimeter? If so connect it while the car is running to the battery posts on voltage setting..red lead to red terminal..black lead to black terminal..if ur getting anything 13v or less ur alternator is not charging ur battery..if u fall in the 14volts range the alternator is charging ur battery..what is the code ur getting?
