- With AlfaOBD I show step by step how to disable the seat belt chime on your Dodge RAM 2009-2018. I know it can also be done by putting the truck in the on position and clicking the seat belt 3 times. I just wanted to show another way to do it.

OK..... Before you guys start hating on me, I know there's a faster and easier way of doing this by clicking the seatbelt three times. I just wanted to demonstrate how it could also be done with AlphaOBD.
Clicking 3 times(temporarily stop it every single time you get it) vs PERMANENTLY disabling... you did fantastic boss. Thanks for bringing this to the front.

Heads up since you already have the following on TH-cam for 2018 owners!! I just got everything needed security bypass and mx link today. DO NOT use 2013-2017 power net to connect to BCM on an 18 model. Use the 2016-2017 power net selection. When you connect it will say connected to 2018 BCM and everything works. Just set my TPMS and global windows down

I try tell people this way permanently disables it not temporarily with the seatbelt method.
Me wondering if you can use obd to display special messages on the cluster upon engine start up😂

Hey Dependable Auto Truck, I opened up alfaOBD for your make and year of vehicle and I found something called TPM premium.
I've never worked on a Jeep Commander so I couldn't tell you for sure if that setting will work. I would search around on the web and see if you can find a forum for Jeep Commander and maybe shoot them a question.
I know for the Ram trucks the setting you're talking about is actually called TPMS in Alfa.
If you search around and cannot find a suitable forum for the Jeep Commander, You can try asking some of the guys in the RAM forum/alfaOBD thread.

I can't guarantee anybody will know the answer there as most of us just have Rams but maybe they can better lead you in the right direction.

Do you know if this works with a 2019 Ram Promaster... I have an issue with a faulty sensor that even when my seatbelt its buckled, the light stays on and the chime doesn't stop... Do I need the full version of the AlfaOBD? and where can i get the bluetooth computer connector?
What screen did you replace your UConnect with? Do you retain a functional compass etc. etc. etc., in the dash?
Hey Kilo, it's called a Tesla style radio.
And I'm sure I can download a compass from Google Play however, I already have one on my 7-in Evic. I just use Waze instead for maps. The radio has the same functionality as an Android tablet. With access to the Google Play store you can download any app that's available for that type of unit. And yes it is part of the dash.

@@bigdaddyshouse, my UConnect was removed by presumably the previous owner - no idea why you would do that. I've had several RAM's and the UConnect needs to be present - there are features that you lose such as USB power in the center console, the compass and the clock on the EVIC screen, the steering wheel controls also do not function, the heated wheel doesn't function, and the dual zone climate control doesn't function. I use both the compass on the screen and the USB ports and obviously the steering wheel controls as well as all the other features and not having the UConnect features ruins the experience of the truck.
Some cheap radio face was installed called a PAC RadioPro. It sucks.
Do you have a link to your radio and did you retain all your OEM functions and USB ports?

Yes sir, there are all kind of voltage settings on various elements of your truck or car in AlfaOBD.
Does the display lights go out if you buckle the seat belt?
Yes. The seat belt light functions like normal.

No sir. Bypass harness is only needed for the 2018 and 2019 classic.

No. Only disables the evic chime. All safety features are still active.

When I changed my instrument cluster my dinger shut off 2018 Ram 1500 5.7
Hey Tim, that's definitely possible depending on what the truck was used for and where the 7-in Evic came out of. Meaning used as some type of service or farm vehicle. The chime may have already been disabled since it's in the cluster.
If you're looking to re-enable it, it should be the same steps, just hit enable.

That typically only happens when someone puts a 2013 EVIC in a 2014 or newer truck.
The 2013 EVIC is not fully compatible. What year is your 7" eVic

If the tire pressure bothers you, I would pull it out of your truck and see if you can get a return or resell it on eBay or something.
You can also ask in the RAM forum, alfaOBD thread, see if maybe someone has come up with a magic wand for that.
