Thank you so much sir. I PAID $725 TO GET A REPLACEMENT KEY. BUT IVE HAD ALGA OBD APP SINCE I BOUGHT MMY JEEP AND THE DEALERSHIPS WOULD CHARGE HUNDREDS FOR A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT DIAGNOSIS. JUST NEVER KNEW IT GENERATED RHE PIN ALSO
This method works with Jeep Cherokee kl 2015? I read the pin from the RFH which has 5 digits. I entered it but suddenly it shows that the pin is 4 digits. alfaobd may not work with cheroekke? Apparently appcar from Windows does it better. Please help.
So even with this Alpha OBD , for a 2018 Ram a bypass cable is still needed & going under the dash behind the plastic cover , hooking up cables or wires is still a must???
For Select Control Unit, I only have WCM options. I have a 2016 Caravan. How do I know which one to pick? For example, do I choose MY2011-17? If so, do I choose Var.1 or Var.2? I can't find any documentation on which selection to make.
I tried this and it DID NOT work. I contacted AlfaOBD support and I've got a reply email from Alexey. The read PIN feature does not work for 2109+ RAM models. He told me that he was working on fixing it but it might take some time.
$50? LOL its android app. All free. I found the APK online. Seems to work good. Will try tomorrow. $0!!!!! As it should be; Also the fact that there isn't just software available for free to do this is NUTS to me. How do chrysler owners fix their own vehicles if they are locked out? ILLEGAL!
Sorry, I haven't played with 2500's. I would check to see if it has a security module and if it does buy a bypass. Other than that I don't know what else to look for hopefully someone else will chime in with more ideas.

Alfa is okay but after paying $50 for it I found JSCAN can retrieve the key fob pins from older Jeeps ALF has no function for that. Alf is not able to pull the pins also JSCAN is more user friendly I can change the tire size easily on my RAM 2500. Alf is more geared toward techs.

Did you have to take off the plastic cover below the steering column & hook up a cable or bypass cable and change up some wiring to get that to work?
Great, video. Thank you very much sir. Keep up the good work
Two thumbs up👍👍 worked great for me!
I appreciate this video…. Thank you

@@1INSOLENTDOBERMAN Yes, alphaobd is pretty upfront on the website that a 2018 will require a bypass cable.

Can you program a new RF module using Alfaobd
I have not tried programming that module but I think it would. I have programmed other modules such as the ABS without any issues.

Did this work to pull the pin # ? I got the AlphaOBD MX+ and bought the full version app
It does. If you have an 18 and up Chryslers product you will need a bypass to access all different modules.
