    Something that big and that heavy should not move like that. 9000 pounds should not accelerate that quickly, drift like that, or become airborne without being made by Boeing. I'm just happy to see the truck being actually damaged, fixed and kept going. So many companies will show a truck just driving down a dirt road and say it is pushed to the limits.

    Car manufacturers say “We learn from our mistakes”. But as customers we never really see what that means. GM showed us the trial they encountered in the mountains without sugar coating it. It takes a lot for a manufacturer to show that to the world, and I appreciate that. This is what GM is all about!!!

    You can install a 15 KW solar panel with battery system for under $15,000. Then you charge your batteries during the day with the solar power and charge the electric vehicle at night with the solar battery packs. You could possibly pay the vehicle and your solar system off within 7 years. Then you can drive your electric vehicle for almost no cost at all. Right now my boss spends almost $1,000 a month for diesel fuel for his Ford.

    I hope GM has taken good care of Al Oppenheiser. He’s been with them for 37 years (since 1985). The fact that they openly call a Human Being a ‘Resource’ says it all. Commodities are resources, not people.

    A phenomenal team produced a phenomenal vehicle, job well done! But in the end, it's a very expensive, very heavy halo vehicle. No question halo vehicles are very important at this point in the transition to EV's as they can serve to demonstrate capabilities and change customer perceptions as to what an EV can ultimately be. I hope that GM puts the same amount of effort into future EV truck products that can be viable replacements of current products in both private and commercial applications. That is where GM's ultimate success will be measured. And BTW, I couldn't help but notice an old GMC Topkick medium duty truck in Factory Zero at 12:33 in the video. It's probably there just hauling parts or equipment around the plant, but wouldn't it be something if that truck was a mule for a EV commercial truck program? That would be impressive.

      @4literv6 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They crushed it because it cost a lot to make to start with and they leased the rights to the battery tech. Also a more ice friendly administration took over right after it came out making it not necessary anymore. Also gm built commercial use ev trucks in the 1920s. And they built several prototype electric corvairs in the 60s. So they have built and killed off ev development multiple times for well over a century.
      How barra and mark reuss aren't in jail or under sec investigation for their lies about gms ever upcoming evs I don't know?
      Just today I found a cnbc gm article from October of 2017 in which barra claimed by 2023 gm would make 20 new ev model's besides the bolt, and further they claimed the cruze division would have autonomous vehicle's any day now. That was 56 month's ago now, I mean you cannot make up a better case for stock manipulation. 😀
