That final hill looked scary as hell! Props to you to keep the commentary up while doing everything you could to keep it from sliding off the road into further trouble.
Impressive. Never get tired of your ability to do a great job. Watching other channels(whom will go nameless) do sub par testing/reviews and then come here for your professional work is such a treat. Get more from your walk arounds than others. Get a better drive impression on what we really want to know. And these OR adventures, you not only give the pros and cons to the vehicles performance (and great scenery)you conclude with how you get out of things when you are "done". Was thinking, gee how did he flip it around and or was it easy to do so? And you showed it! So perfect! Plus some footage of it in your test track! Any moment I think of something I would like to see you do or talk about, you are going right into it. Leaving me with nothing but a smile and no questions. Perfect! Glad this vehicle did not give you any issues.(unlike someone else whom bought it that will go unmanned lol)
Imagine a car with 100,000 mile range and that costs like $30,000 to refuel. Nowdays ppl think evs cause issues when they crash, imagine crashing equipped with a reactor.
9° is low for me from south Louisiana, it was amazing experience in daylight Tahoe going from Sacramento about 50° to 9° in about 1h and 45min of driving
I know you already tested the gas Jeep Grand Cherokee TrailHawk last year but im really hoping you could test the 4xe version of this vehicle as I'm interested in purchasing one later this year. Would love your expert opinion! Love the videos!
Well... what can I say about this video? I just might have to place it in my Top Five videos. Why? Way too much fun as Ryan was smiling most of the time, except when he was sliding backwards! Imagonna give it an A++++++++++++!
this video will be shown on MANY MANY anger management classes. or at least it should be hahah. Top job with the review and controlling your emotions sliding down. Definitely impressive. besides we really got to see the system working its ass off to distribute power and to get some epic content for the internet which is always welcome. Hats off
It's amazing how Watts To Freedom is also a way to say WTF when you launch that mammoth from 0 to 60! I'm sure everyone does say that in this truck when they mash the throttle! 🚀
I'm pretty sure the Mt on the Goodyear Territories doesn't actual mean Mud Terrain I think it actually means Maximum Traction for that specific tire. All the others stand for Mud terrain.
And also there are a couple versions of Territory Mt tires that Goodyear makes. like the Mt for the Bronco Sasqautch are actually mud terrains with different tred pattern compared to the ones on the Hummer
Maybe it'd be worth partnering with some detailing studios and attaching protective films or removable magnetic covers to the scratch risky areas of test vehicles.
just because I've been in a similar situation and almost lost my car, wouldn't putting it in reverse while he was sliding have given him control of the car as he was sliding? granted it would have been a much faster decent but at least he would have had control.
I’m not an EV guy. Simply because they are impractical for my lifestyle and driving habits. However, if I had a spare hundred and a nickel laying around for a just-for-fun vehicle this one would definitely be on the shortlist. But this truck again highlights the as of now unsolved issues of EVs. It’s extremely capable, however that capability is hamstrung by its electric drivetrain. This truck would be so fun for multi-day overlanding camping trips. But unfortunately the range issue ruins it. So for the money I would definitely choose the Bronco Raptor. Just as capable, and you can strap some Jeri-cans to the outside of it and go for days in the wild. Still a lot of issues to work out before EVs are a viable mass alternative for petrol vehicles.
$43 for 44% of battery charge gain. a full battery charge from empty must be ~$100 at this type of chargers. ~300-mile range. at $4/gallon you can put 25 gallons for $100 in a F150 and travel 500 miles at 20mpg of mixed driving. the subjective cool factor aside this thing is ridiculously inefficient and expensive.
I don’t understand giving the back seats a pass because “it’s a truck”. It’s a $100,000+ vehicle. Every one of those seats should be just as comfortable as the driver seat.
Did that say $43 for 5omins of charging……at that cost there’s very little difference between spending that amount on gasoline……it was a gas guzzler when it had an engine, now that it’s electric…it’s pretty much the same thing with a fancier bells and whistles….
Just be honest, how much poo came out at the end when you started sliding down like that? 😂😂😂 I would have most likely be in need of a new pair of clothes 😂😂😂
I'm surprised it made it as far as it did without breaking down considering tfl couldn't even bring their home without it breaking down in 5 years that thing will be in the junkyard and will probably cost $20,000 in the second-hand Market
Some cool technology and fun but I'm really getting tired of the $60k-$100k+ vehicles are making. How about half this battery in a Mini-van or mid-sized affordable family CUV? At least these don't qualify for tax credits since they are too $$$ no way taxpayer money should help people afford these things. Also they need an infrastructure tax, 9,000lbs?
43$ for 101kWh 😱 That’s around 270km with this truck. Man that’s is freaking expensive. This truck is ridiculous, it’s a product of its country I guess. But ngl, I would love to have one.
I’m not sure if they actually are friendlier than gasoline cars. When you take into consideration the mining, manufacturing, transporting, electricity needed for charging (which mostly comes from burning coal for power grids that can not support the demand) coupled with the life of these batteries and their disposal, I would respectfully disagree. Also, the mining practice used to obtain the materials are shameful to say the least.
@Edgar Karapetyan Studies have been done taking all of that into account, CNET has a good mini documentary video about it where they reference many studies from non-biased sources (not car manufacturers, gas companies, politicians etc), and they themselves are a non-biased source as they have no financial interest.
Not well thought out that it immediately gave you back control when you physically disrupted the Supercruise lane change!?!? Sometimes you provide excellent feedback and sometimes you make me scratch my head with commentary that is so wrong it's baffling to me. Do you realize you faulted self driving system for immediately deferring to human input? Would you rather it had remained in control when you asked for it to relinquish it? You'd rather it ignored your attempts to take over? You do realize those are the only two possibilities right? The system is SUPPOSED TO immediately relinquish control when the driver interrupts it. I'm hoping afterwards you realized that it did exactly what a driver should want it to. I'm also wondering why you seemed so shocked that it's a capable off-road vehicle considering its history. Do you not realize that the vehicle is based on a military transport vehicle? The only changes that have taken place is the propulsion system and the creature comforts and lack of body armor. If the Hummer was not capable off-road it would be a sin.

Learnt more about the Hummer EV from your first video than from TFL who have owned one for awhile....
Yeah they really aren't that great in my opinion.
OMG! That ending was awesome. Great job Ryan.
Another superb review! Wow that sliding back was epic and you handled it absolutely masterfully
Great finish. Your face when it started going backward and then wasn't stopping is priceless.
That backwards slide on the last hill was terrifying
You had one of the best reviews on this vehicle. Just curious 🤔 How does 26:42 ‘No Traction Control’ help on sheets of ice?
Glad you finally got your hands on this beast. Enjoyed the review, info and camerawork!
Cool, technological advancement. Not for everyone but, cool that it exists. Thanks, Ryan..
Ryan, Four and a half tons of off-road electric fun? Maybe they should equip it with a nuclear reactor like a submarine. 🤔
Imagine a car with 100,000 mile range and that costs like $30,000 to refuel. Nowdays ppl think evs cause issues when they crash, imagine crashing equipped with a reactor.

PUCKER CITY!!!! Wow, way to not panic! That was awesome!
Great review Ryan !
You're the best car reviewer in YT

Wooh, thanks for share the kings of the pick-ups.
It just looks so damn cool!
Spectacular job Kung fu master Ryan and angel nick love it

Great visuals
It falls in the category of “when I win the lotto”
If you get some kinetic rope, you can pull almost anything. Even that beast with the ranger
I am surprised it didn't melt down like the one Roman had on TFL. This way out of my price league.
Incredible suv that is

Can you review the 2023 Toyota RAV4 Woodland Hybrid? Big fan
just because I've been in a similar situation and almost lost my car, wouldn't putting it in reverse while he was sliding have given him control of the car as he was sliding? granted it would have been a much faster decent but at least he would have had control.
How many kilowatts did you use?
Ridiculous is definitely the correct word, here…
Please do a ford expedition timberline review!
Does it make sense that the car stops steering itself when you stop paying attention?
👍👍👍
Please get the mazda cx 60
How many times did it stop working? Not counting when you had to plug it in. 😂
I want a Hummer hybrid with 6.2 LT5!

This car has very good motor speed compensation.
That looked scary!
Looks bad ass
A concept car you can "buy" today. Lol...sure. I paid the same for my first house.

Home charging in our area is eight cents a kilowatt hour
now that’s reasonable! it’s just that taking this on a longer trip or towing makes it completely disappointing
@@drivingsports great review, you look so relaxed in the hummer!
Weird fact....the rear window can slide down but no one shows that for some reason lol
Ryan! How eager are you to review the Cybertruck? 😀
Since Tesla has no PR department and no press fleet, I’m assuming I won’t get that opportunity.
@@drivingsports Oh... Hadn't thought about that. Such a shame... I would have loved to get your impressions of that other "ridiculous" truck!
I'm not saying EV is terrible, they have a place but not my place. However the price of them is insane.
you can get Nissan Leaf for less then 30 ... it's upscale price for upscale vehicle just like always
Great👍

I still reported that it sucked, so do with that as you like.
Nice I wish I could have one of this😁😁😁Ryan when you would have chance test drive the new CX90? Been waiting for you 😍😏
It’s an expensive toy that’s a lot of fun when it’s working, but from what I can see it tends to breakdown often
What he fails to mention is….how out of control the tail is when you accelerate in snow or slick conditions.
Chevy Bolt-like interior. Cheap Chevy plastics everywhere.
Did that say $43 for 5omins of charging……at that cost there’s very little difference between spending that amount on gasoline……it was a gas guzzler when it had an engine, now that it’s electric…it’s pretty much the same thing with a fancier bells and whistles….
Ryan we need a review of the power wagon!!
The tipical problem with electrical and automatic cars... you dont have the engine brake. So it's gets very dangerous very quickly.
This pickup looks so stressful to drive regularly around people and things..
Just be honest, how much poo came out at the end when you started sliding down like that? 😂😂😂 I would have most likely be in need of a new pair of clothes 😂😂😂
Anytime I give it throttle when sliding backward on ice, I slide faster.
I'm surprised it made it as far as it did without breaking down considering tfl couldn't even bring their home without it breaking down in 5 years that thing will be in the junkyard and will probably cost $20,000 in the second-hand Market
💕💕💕
Wow, who's gonna buy It?
hell yeah blink 182, also no crabwalk ?:(
We did a separate video breaking down the off-road features. That one included crab walk.

10:01 read the damn manual
I wish car companies would stop promoting EVs as environmentally friendly
Of course they're doing it to push sales, yet at a net outcome, they are friendlier than gasoline cars.
I wish people would stop posting nonsensical bullshit as facts because some hick on Facebook told them
@@shanet7511 me too

Great but only one problem. GMC
Dude should have locked the axles.
the animations and "respect the watts" stuff they put in there is just lame.
Off Road can the tesla do nothing at all 😂😂😂
ONLY $110,000 Plus
What? No crabwalk?
That's in the off-road features test video coming out later.
I think I’ll stick with my bronco that costs $70,000 less…
I want to buy one and rip out the electrical and put in a corvette engine
are you sure it's not a Bummer!
How come he didn’t mentioned that in other test drives they needed to tow the Hummer back to the dealership because of complete system shutdown
Why would he mention that? He’s reviewing the vehicle based on his experience with it not on other people’s reviews.
Can't trust a gm product. Their software has been less than average for this hummer EV.

Put a duramax engine in it and I'll be interested. Stop with the battery bs.
