Hi everyone! Just to make it clear that this is the final live match fishing film in this Poolsbrook Autumn series. Unfortunately the 6th and final round was straight after we had lots of heavy rain which really affected the fishing. I did film that final round for you but like most anglers that day I never had a single bite and whilst I know you love watching these films I couldn't expect you all to watch a 30 minute film without any fish! That is all explained at this end of this film but I just wanted to make it clear for everyone. Thanks for watching this series and I promise you there's plenty more to come! Jamie
Top work mate, a very respectable finish, 4th at your 1st attempt at the lakes.👏😁 Brill series mate, look forward to the next adventure. Tight lines.🎣✌️😉🎣 Neil, Norfolk.
@@coyyiddo1701I run the matches on there, so does that make me a twat? I’ve taken it from a venue that had all of its matches cancelled to having regular 20+ attendances on opens and two full sell out festivals in less than 12 months!
Brilliant series, Jamie. Thank you for sharing your matches with us! I've fished with Lee, Nail, Martin, Brian, and some of the other lads for many years, and as you said, they are a pleasure to fish with. Brilliant set of lads. Lee never gives much away, though he's a fantastic angler. Over the past 10 years, he's only lost 2 autumn leagues, one to Martin and the other to myself. Peg 26 during the autumn is usually the one to be on as it has won loads of matches over the years. In fact, one year, if I remember correctly, peg 26 won 5 or 6 matches in a row during the Autumn league! Again, thanks, Jamie 🐟 🐠 🎣
I have really enjoyed this series and watching you work out the best tactics depending on the day. Amazing drawing the same pegs and area so often! Glad the sun came out. Brilliant video as always Jamie. A great effort to compete on that venue and finish so high up!
Look forward to seeing you fishing in this league again next year, enjoyed this series so much, shame about the last match but that's life I suppose !! Cheers.
Hi Jamie, thoroughly enjoyed watching this series, it’s certainly a difficult venue to get to grips with and no 2 days are the same. Keep up the fantastic work. 👍🏻👍🏻
Great series jamie! Still the best and most informative match fishing content on TH-cam! Please keep these videos coming,as a relative novice I learn so much!
Well done Jamie you did very well as you have never been there before, and to come 4th, you must be quite happy with that, PS i won my 6th match on Tuesday woo hoo, Thank you Jamie,
Really thought you would weigh more than that looking at the fish you caught Jamie, still loving the series and the third is up for grabs hope you go on and smash it...Good Luck in the final round.
Top 5 in the series and only fishing feeder is top angling Jamie.Really enjoyed the 5 matches. So looking forward to the 6th then disaster.☹️.Well done mate.😄😄.
Jamie, why not try a bomb on your feeder line when it starts to slow down. That might be your indication to stop feeding as you've still got feed lying out there. Just a thought because it's what I would do, lol.Good luck on the final leg mate. Really enjoying your video's as always. 👍
I didn't really consider that John, I guess that's because I fish so many 'feeder only' matches where you can't fish with a bomb I probably overlooked it! Haha thanks for watching mate appreciate it :)
Awesome and interesting series, great to see your thought processes and ways of attacking. Well done on the result , please keep more of these types of vid coming 👍
Great watch Jamie, I've enjoyed following every one of your matches in the league. Sorry to see you miss our on the top 3 but at least you got a respectable 4th place considering you never knew the venue and didn't have the chance to practice there👍
Jamie it was a brilliant series I'd love to see you there again next year after a bit more practice new venues can be really unforgiving so 4th was a great result and personally I don't think you over fed at all usually the bream like a bit more bait to settle on thank you very much for sharing this series mate it's been great 👍
@CatchFishingChannel see I'd definitely want to try that place on the feeder and on the pole it's the best way to see which works better maybe ask that Martin to have a day with you he definitely seems to know how the venue ticks
Great effort Jamie.. teasingly close to the top three and if you Analyse it, probably only one or two good fish every match off the win .. I wouldn’t mind thinking if you hit that venue again soon, you’d nail it.. it’s the lean periods that obviously hurt.. do you scale down to a three hole conventional with small bait to snaffle a few small fish to keep things ticking over or do you go big and make something happen.. only venue knowledge can tell you that … brilliant viewing, really enjoyed the honesty and balance .. great to see your dad enjoying it too.. thanks again.. 👊🏻
Thanks Chris and yes in hindsight that would have helped put a few extra small fish in the net but I'm still convinced that with the right approach you could just focus on bigger fish but I get that's a great excuse to return isn't it :)
Well fished Jamie. I did think you were in with decent shout to get 3rd before the Last match. I do think that your ground bait could have been a bit more Bream friendly by mixing in some F1 Sweet. I also think you hit the nail on the head about going long onto the open water, Overall it was fascinating listening to your thought on how to approach the swims and why. A very enjoyable series much enjoyed. Cheers
Thank you Peter! Yes I went down the F1 route in round 1 and 2 but needed a change even if it was just for confidence if that makes sense? Thanks again for watching mate :)
Well done mate on 5th round as soon as I was getting bites I wood have gut the micro s out n use just ground bait in method I also wood have taken dead reds instead of pinky and left the worms at home castor is the best holding bait for bouns dogs . 💯
This has been 1 of the best and most interesting series of videos ive watched of yours and other bloggers.thanks bud and unlucky,im sure you have unfinished buisness there 😉 👍🏻👍🏻
I saw every series you shearing, i am amator angler, but i think that fishing it's complex game, but my advice, you tried in long line maybe on left or right or more closer or futher 2,3 meters away from yours clip line, because offten time fish moving, not stay in your spot Good luck next round
Sorry but Jamie...Will have to question your feed in your groundbait???.... your were targeting skimmers/bream right?.... your missing two major attractors.... that will hold bream for yonks 😉😇
This is the last one Phil as I never had a bite in the final round. At the end of this video it's all explained mate. Unfortunately whilst I filmed the last match I couldn't produce a live match film about it as I never had a bite! Hope that makes sense mate :)
As much as I have liked watching this series I think you fish to one dimensional. Clearly the pole has helped win various matches in this series but you continue to fish the the feeder. Some times tactics have to change to get a more positive result.

Hi mate quick question what is the warmest winter suit matrix do ? Bib brace and coat
Cheers Gareth
What reel were you using Jamie ?
I used the Matrix Ethos XR reels in this video Dave, here's the link www.fishmatrix.co.uk/home/product/matrix-ethos-xr-reels?c=reels
i am confused the title says final match but in the first bit of the video you say there is another round next week?

I know you're a feeder angler but do you not have regrets sometimes that you don't set up a pole.
