Really good watch, Jamie. Being a very old school bream angler. I would be putting a lot more ground bait in at the start sprinkled with a good helping of casters and hemp. I would then fish a bomb and sit on my hands and wait for an arrival. But as I said that’s old school but it can still work believe me, lol. Good luck in the four matches to come.
I always find it fascinating working out how best to fish a new venue. At least you have multiple visits to work at the venue Jamie. Its great watching the tactics develop and change. All to play for.
Dont beat yourself up mate, if you got drew near ,the island you would have caught those skimmers. Good luck next round, may be a hybrid feeder might come into play. Cant wait to see how you tackle it. Good luck jamie for futire rounds.
Very interesting Match. I agree that you will have to look at introducing some changes but my question would be, why did I catch a decent skimmer then nothing except Perch on the Long line. The 7 meter line was always going to be a catch what you can line. My gut feeling is that you might need 25-30 meter line baited with G/B, Pellets and either pinkies and or chopped worm. you would still have a 15 - 20 meter line. The great thing was you did catch but mainly small. ?. Thanks Jamie. You aint out of it yet. Cheers
Looking to start match finishing, most places I have seen require at least 2 keep nets one for silvers and small carp and the other for big carp. Are you able to stick everything in one in this league? Your videos are so good to watch, very very helpful thank you

Thanks for taking the time to create and share the videos. Always interesting to listen to your thoughts and approach to different venues.
This is turning into a must watch, you’re doing far better than I ever did Jamie. Can’t wait for the next instalments 👏👏
Thanks Stephen mate it certainly was a test but that's why I wanted to film the challenge mate :)
Is it feeder only mate as waggler fishing up in the water works well for the bigger fish

Loving this so far and look forward to next round when you get in amongst the better ones :)
I can't wait for next weekend. The series is excellent and very instructive for us who also compete. Big greetings from Croatia
Looking forward to the next video Jamie, very enjoyable and informative mate 👍
Perhaps GB and micros with no pinkies etc on a line? A tiny bit of corn or an expander and have a method set up with a tiny wafter?
Thanks Ian mate you'll see similar changes in round 3 mate ;)
Great vid Jamie mate, and love the videos from the drone. It’s certainly a tough venue to work out mate.
Thanks Mark!
As to the Pike in there. I weighed one in for a guy fishing in Peg 6 last winter at 24lb 6oz caught on the feeder when bringing a skimmer in !
Well done jamie, good angling mate, fed them lines very well, 👌🏻
enjoyed the vid and nice to see different feeder styles for silvers
Lovely video Jamie.
Looking forward to the next one.
I would take a few casters ?
Thank you for your video!!!

Great series bud
Don't beat yourself up. It's not an easy venue to fish. Locals know best, from what I remember micros n 6mm hard pellet worked well.

It can be a tricky venue to crack
Nice video Jamie 👌👍
Thank you Tom and sorry I missed you in Belgium mate
@@CatchFishingChannel I know Jamie !
I’m no expert, but if perch are the problem, and you’re targeting bream, perhaps try corn on the hook? And perhaps a less fishmealy groundbait? 🤔
Not to bad Jamie, you have got your work cut out to catch up, YOU can do it mate, COME ON, Thank you,
Gonna be tough Jamie hope you can work it out mate and get a couple better weights together
