We are just coming into summer here in the Uk so seeing all this rain and ice and stuff warms my heart. Give me winter over anything. If people are commenting stupid comments they need to get a life. I'm an older retired widow and I love your take on camping as it reminds me of days gone by when my family camped...good times! i can imagine the smell of the meat and bacon...nothing like it! Those burgers! Wow! I know what I'm having for supper tonight! You are such a down to earth young man, with a lovely wife. I agree with you, burgers, not freeze dried at the campfire!

Hello from Northern Ontario, Canada. It' so nice to have summer coming here after a long dreary winter. As to the food. I agree 100% about how much better it is to cook real food and it's usually my favourite part of a video. Freeze dried is ok for a long backpack, but not very appealing. I am new to the channel but look forward to watching more.

Hello from Washington State, USA. I think the best meal you make is the cheese burgers with bacon. Since I'm disabled and don't do a lot of camping anymore, you give me a chance to enjoy your trips. In my younger days, I did some backpacking and also bicycle camping. Don't have the stamina anymore.
Another great camp. So glad the Weka made an appearance, cool looking birds. I think watching the steak dinners are good but you can’t beat a double bacon cheeseburger. Take care.

Watching from my cozy bed in Scotland. Just started watching your videos and am enjoying them very much congratulations to you and your partner. You should have a look at Kent Survival and see what he cooks when he's camping he makes gourmet meals plus he's made his own black pudding. Your burgers look delicious. They views are amazing

Maybe do a video of when you get home and what your breakdown preparation is like. As in, do you dry your gear out, put the tent up again, etc. . And how you decide on what sleeping bag, tent, mattress, backpack to take, etc. thanks
I hang my gear on hooks on the ceiling in my basement to dry and air out for a day or so depending on how wet everything got.

The internet has given people permission to be their "true selves". You'd think if someone felt that you might have "no idea" what to do with the gear, they would take the opportunity to provide helpful tips and appreciate the fact that you're doing it despite. But, people show their true colors. Keep doing what you're doing and keep being you. Love the content. You (and Victoria) was inspiring me to venture to do similar.

Another awesome adventure ! Really like the new tent and the way up set up this time , a different view . We are camping right now and last night and we fixed hamburgers and hotdogs , I did try the pickles on my dog and loved it . Thanks for sharing that idea with us . Hey mate. Yeah I was lucky to find this spot it’s a much easier walk then the spot I was at last camp. Really want to do a 2 night brutal snow camp up there but still waiting for the snow. Thanks for the support appreciate it

I love the fact that you eat good meals when you go camping. Outdoor cooking is the best whether you're in your backyard or the mountains. You're supposed to enjoy yourself, not just survive.

I love your fires, the way you put up your tarp is great! you even hike up the trail for two hours or more then you set up camp then you gather & cut the wood! my family and i went camping this past weekend. we made wagyu burgers on brioche buns with caramelised onion cheese because of you. there were freaking delicious. proper tent camping

I’m watching from US I can’t go hiking or camping I have major heart problems. I enjoy watching your videos the rain is so relaxing. I have never had wagu burger it sounds amazing but I don’t know if I can eat that on my diet. Don’t pay any attention to those people who are rude. Keep being yourself and having fun.

Another great video Abel! I enjoy watching all of your camping videos. I agree with you about cooking while camping. It's better than the freeze dried crap for sure. What's the hardest part about setting up camp, is it gathering the firewood and processing it? It looks like alot of work. I'm sure it is too. Looking forward to your next adventure!
Sometimes walking in is very hard work depends on the spot. Wood gathering is always strenuous. All of it is a big effort but worth it
