This day looked like work. It did not look easy. You showed all those little struggles that could lead to a rough day, a day where you might despair, throw your hands up and ask yourself why am I doing this. If you need a reminder remember you have made hundreds of thousands of people's lives better, brought us joy and inspiration, a feeling of community and a sense of purpose and joy. You are also raising four amazing children. Your hard work and sacrifice is providing them with roots as deep and strong as an oak. They are sinking their fingers and toes into the earth and you will benefit from your care and their growth as surely as you will the careful and diligent cultivation of your animals and farm.

hi I just love watching you and your family work together all the way over here from the United Kingdom. I noticed you are very good at cleaning your cows udders and utensils but I never noticed hand washing before milking maybe this is done out of shot of camera or I have missed it. yous kids are a credit to You and Rebeckah and their grandparents. BIG LOVE x

Thank you. Yes, we had wash too. Sorry for the confusion. We don't show the entire prep process everytime. Actually the milking process from cleaning to milking to cleaning again takes at least 30 minutes. I end up showing like 30 seconds. Maybe three minutes.

I absolutely love the cameos of your dad in these movies. It really warms my heart. It's strange how much of an attachment that I feel to someone I never met in person but your dad had that kindness and 'sparkle' that shined brightly.

You can catch more calf’s with grain than by forcing them 😋

There's a lot of truth to this. Cows go nuts for grain. Kind of like children go nuts for candy. Doesn't mean it's good for them ;)

You can watch for whatever reason you like, but what you wish for from this show it's what this is about. Not every day has a happy ending. This is our life. Good times and bad. There are plenty of other shows out there about unicorns farting rainbows.

Everyday isn't a positive one, and his life and his memories are a part of HIS day, which is what he shows us through videos. These videos show the reality of a different lifestyle along with all of its ups and downs. If you want just happy videos go follow youtubers who don't do vlogs. I hope when you lose somebody who means the world to you, that no one tells you to ONLY talk about uplifting things, because your sorrows are not entertaining.

Justin Rhodes Thank you, Justin! Most us of us watch because we admire and respect what you and your family are doing. We’re grateful for your teachings and that you allow us such an intimate view of your lives both joyous and difficult. For those of us who have lost parents, your grief is not only understandable but very relatable. If people want to watch scripted, “reality” TV there are lots of options. Thank goodness this isn’t one of them.
