I'm hand making my sailor moon cosplay for Manchester comic con, and this tutorial was so helpful! With how easy it is, I'll probably get it done way before comic con, which is amazing! Thank you so much for this! Xx❤

do you need an overlock to sew this costume?

It will give you the best result but you could use a zigzag stitch instead.
We talk a little bit more about it on this video: th-cam.com/video/Y3f_FkypSj8/w-d-xo.html

So, how exactly does one attach the sleeves (combo d) I don't know which side I'm supposed to sew them to. And do you hem the sleeves first because the raw edges of the leotard look like they'll show

hello! The D combo is meant primarily for stiffer fabrics such as tulle or crinoline. A fabric like Tulle doesn't fray so it wouldn't need to have any particular finishes at the hem of the sleeve. If you are using a fabric that frays, you'll either need to roll in your hem and top stitch it or double up the piece and sew right side to right side at the hem before turning it inside out and sewing it to the armhole.
      Hope this helps!

Which kind of fabric should i use?

    • @ndlwrkshop

I suggest a 4 way stretch; ideally a double knit or moleskin

I believe it was a cotton jersey. We have more fabric suggestions in the booklet that comes with the pattern!

Did you mean in different sizes?
If so, the pattern is available in XS all the way to a 4XL.

i just bough your patter online i dont understand the printing part at all? please make a video .

The pattern is applied to a grid which you just print out normally with a printer and then assemble. We do have a video but it hasn't been updated. The assembly of the grid part still holds true but printing was massively simplified. There's no need to split a pdf file; it's already been split and ready to print.
