I totally agree with the motivational aspect being something a GM needs. We need genuine positivity and unity to spread through this place in the worst way.
In the past with my teams, whenever they did bad it would harm my mentality and ruin my days. With the way you analyze it though that whole experience wouldn’t happen for me. Great video, Mr. Wiggins!
i agree, i think we give doug one last chance. Only if he fires press tho. Use press as the scape goat. blame defense on new scheme and be bad again next year
Very interesting question and something to think about. My take would be the GM and HC you mentioned. For OC, I don’t think Leftwhitch would be a bad pick. Just look what he did when he was in Arizona and Tampa with Bruce Arians guiding him. As far as the DC goes, if Dave Caldwell wants to return, I don’t think that would be a bad choice. Just my take. As always Tony, great stuff.
Wig do you consult how do we get this video to Shad You literally read my mind on salah Johnson and brunell Love the gm idea seems like a super smart dude
I’d be bummed for us to lose Ian Cunningham, but he will be a phenomenal GM when he gets the offer. He has been instrumental in rebuilding the bears with Ryan
@@Noname-ps3mqi mean he has to agree already turned down gm offers when they wanted to hire him. Bears get 2 3 round comp picks if he get gm job so im good with that as well.
Khan limited his own options last time around when he forced his next coach to hold Trent Baalke's pocket. He CAN'T be fool enough to do that again. He also seems to get seduced by "sexy" names like Urban Meyer. Doug Pederson gave him a little bit of both, but he's starting to sound more like Gus Bradley every day: "the guys fought hard...we'll get those things cleaned up..." and it's getting tiresome. Historically, the best Jags teams were the ones with a potent run game and an imposing defense. I think that's what VP Coughlin was trying to replicate. I would ask the next head coach to take that same approach, then rebuild the pass game from there with Trevor and BTJ. The current offense is pass to set up the run, with horizontal routes, IF these jokers even manage to catch the ball. Every coaching candidate mentioned in the pod would be fine by me, but I'd like the hire to be Aaron Glenn.
As a Bears fan, Ian Cunningham is top notch. We would hate to lose him. I think though he is smart enough not to take the Jags job, because of the long-term instability of the franchise. He would be stuck with Trevor Lawerence for too long to be successful.
As a Lions fan I find it very strange to have other teams want our coaches and staff. For years the Lions were where coaches came to destroy their future career path. Once you were fired from the Lions, you were done... no team wanted your incompetent hind end. Now the Lions coaches, staff, and scouts are on the wanted list for every franchise needing a change. I never saw this coming...
@@Noname-ps3mq Agreed! But you can understand why I am confused as a Lions fan. This is not the team I have followed for 45 years. I love this new Lions team. I hope you Jags fans can get this mess fixed.

All these things you are saying we should get makes me smile, be happy a little and would be awesome if you were in charge. Honestly though Shad has never made the right choice. He will keep Trent hire bill o Brian or go after Belicheck.
Might be a hot take but I feel like the Jags should dip back into the college market, if you really want someone who's going to do right by Trevor and build a good offense Dabo Swinney is an easy candidate, and even though Clemson is having a resurgent season Dabo has been very vocal in his dislike for the direction that FBS is going maybe he'll want a shot at the NFL.

Trent Baalke,Doug Peterson,Press Taylor & Trevor Lawrence, the four horsemen of Jags franchise Apocalypse! P.S. their Def. Coordinator get honorable mention too.
@@andrelockridge9109 look around the NFL. Almost every time we assumed the QB is the problem and the team got rid of it, they started to ball out for a new team. Trevor Lawrence would play on a MVP level if he would play for a team like the Vikings, Lions or 49ers. O-line is one of the most important things for the QB (and the run game) and in this case the jags are one of the worst over the past 4 years. Same with receivers which are unable to make plays for him. That should point to the opposite: he sees the team is doing nothing but imploding under the leadership now, the only logical answer as a business owner after giving them 3+ years, is to turn it over to new leadership. With a new stadium, Shad is going to want to recoup his investment, which means you need to put out a winning product, or else fans won’t show up and the team won’t make any money.
75 percent of nfl teams would take a chance with Trevor. His upside is way too tempting especially in a good system. There are some good teams that can never win a super bowl with their current QB. They would jump at chance to have Trevor
