I’ll never understand why college football scouts evaluate QBs so high that throw to wide open receivers 90% of their school careers. It was extremely rare that I saw Trevor make tight window throws in college.

Nobody really talks about it for some reason, but the year they made the playoffs Doug Peterson called plays. It just so happened that when Doug stopped calling plays, Trevor fell off a cliff. The question I don’t understand, is why dough Peterson is okay with not calling plays while watching this offense, because he will get fired.
And Doug will never answer the question who calls the plays when the press asks him.
@@BensonMTG I’m an eagles fan always felt bad for how he got fired. I don’t pay much attention to Jaguars news, but I remember him saying he wanted to stop calling plays to focus more on the game when coaching after the year he made the playoffs. Good coach, but he needs to take control of play calling duties.

Lawrence has been one of the overhyped players ever. Dude was compared to Peyton manning, Andrew luck and John elway.

He likes to throw high but his ball placement is up there with Aaron Rodgers. The team is not making it easy on him. They've abandoned the quick passes and screens, there's no run game so the defense are always running plays vs the pass, they have trevor doing 180s in play action why?

1st he is a number 1 overall pick. The last time a number 1 pick at qb won a superbowl for the team that drafted them was peyton manning. 2nd reason he has a heisman trophy. Only 4 heisman winning qbs have made a superbowl only 2 have ever won a superbowl.

Trevor Lawrence HAD been good - he's had good games in this league, he's led a historic playoff comeback victory, and from the midpoint of the 2022 season to the midpoint of last season he had a 16-6 record as the Jags' starting QB. If he had never had any success in the league that would be one thing, but he has. Perhaps a sports psychologist or something is needed because a guy doesn't just forget how to play football all of a sudden.

A bust bro is Trevor Sieman. A bust is Mitchel Trubisky or Jamarcus Russell. Lawrence has played at a much higher level than any of those guys. He very well may end up being a bust, but it’s still too early to label him a bust.
He's not been good. He's had a handful of good games, and the playoff win vs the chargers is not one of them. He was the main reason they were getting blown out at halftime, with his 4 INTs in the first half.
To many QB's are getting payed franchise money before they have actually proved they are the player who can elevate everyone else around them. Put the team on there back and drag the franchise to a win like Dan Marino did against the undefeated Bears. The playoff win against the Chargers was more to do with Brandon Staley flying the franchise into the side of the mountain than Trevor Proving he was that guy. It's kind of ironic that the first game of the Year was against the Dolphins and they are in the exact same dilemma with Tua,payed him the franchise money but he has never done anything in a game that mattered. The crazy contract that the Giants gave to Daniel Jones is another that stands out as a guy who got payed before he ever proved he was nothing but mediocre. I'm even worried about the Chargers with Justin Herbert,not because he doesn't have the franchise talent but it seems every season now he is playing injured.

Lawrence is overrated. Played in a watered down ACC during his time in college(which made him look amazing), and when he played in the CFP he was 500. He is not elite.

The decision to bench a young qb is not made in a vacuum. Trevor is our best chance to win, we pay him like it, and he mostly developed. Young is still developing and sending him out there to destroy his confidence isn’t what is best for him or the panthers long term.

@@davidmitchell6873 bro....I graduated from Bama. I absolutely love my school and my team but I know for a fact, without Bryce.....that 2nd season he started....Jermaine Burton as the best receiver. We had a run game and we had Bryce....we lose 5 or 6 games that year if we had any other qb.
I watched this kid play amongst those elite SEC schools and he was the difference in almost every major game. Daniels outplayed him and our defense let him down vs Tennessee.
