Denver is my dream place to live! Currently 17, turning 18 years old soon as I'm writing this! I'd love nothing more than to escape the humidity and heat of Texas and live in a place surrounded by mountains, national parks, and world class ski resorts! I'll try my best to work as hard as I can to make my dream a reality! GO DENVER!
I hope you make it here, Braxton! I’ve lived in a lot of places over the years, but Denver is my favorite and a place I love to call home. I firmly believe you can plan your life to get to where you want to be if you work hard at it, and I hope you make it here!
@@davechung Aw, thanks for responding to me, and so soon after I wrote a comment, dude! I checked out some more of your videos and you seem like a really great guy who really goes into detail about what life in Denver is like, and I really respected you for being honest in one of your videos about the stuff people usually don't mention, like the cracked windshields in winter. So refreshing to be able to evaluate the good and bad in a video and consider them both constructively. You've definitely earned a subscriber from me!
I truly looooove your honesty. No fluff. Just truth and straight to the point. I'm a new subscriber! I really loved living in Denver for the short time I did. I will be relocating to go back at some point.
Great review. Can't wait to try some of these out. I'm coming out for a guys sports weekend (MLB/NFL games) trip this Fall. Where do you suggest staying? Near good food, sports stadiums, transportation...
Awesome! Hope you guys have a great time. If you don’t want to stay right downtown (LoDo), I’d take a look around Lower Highlands and Larimer Square. You’ll be a quick trip to the stadiums with plenty of food options nearby!
My advice would be to visit Elwood’s Organic Dog Meat Farm and learn about the process of how they raise their dogs. It was a really fascinating tour for me to learn about where my dog meat comes from.
Dave! I'm going on my first ever vacation with a significant other only. Without the trail of Asian family. So happy I found your channel just in time. I have 1 week to binge watch and research Denver. But I love your take. Very thorough and anticipated questions and commentary. After 30 years of friendship. Me and my long time bro became a couple. All the guys+me have been friends since middle school. I was always their wingman save never did anyone think this would have happened with any of the dudes. We've been together for 2+ years and this will be my 41st birthday getaway. Kids & pups will be at home. I wish you & your wife were our actual friends so we could thank you in person for all your knowledge. I'm binge watching the rest of these and taking notes before our trip on the 10th. This was perfect cuz we're only stay for 3 days. I'm a tomboy sci Fi & comic, nerd, ABC Chinese, art lover & work as graphic designer. I love dogs & all animals. Mainly going as a form of physical/mental therapy for my struggles with fibromyalgia. Brian is Lao/Thai & is obsessed with all things paranormal + horror. In fact we watch a scary movie every night as we eat dinner & before bed. He is a major foodie but doesn't eat seafood or enjoy fruits/veggies. Also loves anything spicy. Loves trying new things. And it's athletic, morning person who enjoys coffee and the outdoors. Though he is quite the introvert and a bit shy compared to me who suffers from anxiety yet is willing to help a stranger or go the extra mile. Must be because I'm a native Texan. We are both GenZ and looking forward to finally taking a vacation after the long list of traumatic events and emotional year. Looking for the brass tacks and cliff notes of Denver. It's kismet that YT recommended you and empath gravitation helped me trust in the one click. Thank you for this video & all the rest! It's a great POV for a person who is planning our life to see if it's somewhere we could move to as well. Feel like kindred souls just seeing the stuff you recommended with no fluff! Big thanks! Lily & Brian from Dallas
Lily! Thank you SO much for the comment, and I hope you and Brian have the best time here in Denver. I’m biased, but I think it’s a great place to be, and I appreciate the love so much. Nothing makes me happier than hearing that a video helped someone plan their trip to Denver. Thank you for making my day!
This is hands down the best travel video i’ve ever seen. Informative, concise, and really in tune with common pain points/questions from someone like me who values flexibility and spontaneity. Also appreciate your balanced take on the food scene - more trustworthy than most other reviews out there :) Immediately subscribed! Thank you for your care in planning this video.
The breweries are great for visitors for sure! I should’ve mentioned them, haha got stuck in family-friendly mode 😀Thanks for adding it as a suggestion!
I’ll be visiting Denver solo for a Broncos game this year! 🤩 I’d like to be able to walk to the shops and places to eat! Where would you suggest staying?
Awesome! I hope you have a great time at the game! If you really want to be in the mix with a city feel (and all that comes with that, good and bad 😀), you could stay around Union Station to have easy walking access to a lot of stuff. If you want to be a little further out, but still a quick ride to the game, RiNo and Lower Highlands (LoHi) are worth looking at too!
@@Rubio_Eric It's recently gotten better-still not great, but much better than before. There was a problem with homeless people doing drugs under Union Station (near the bus area), but there was a big effort by the city to clean it up. I'm by Union Station all the time at night when I park for Nuggets games, and I think it feels much safer than it did a few months back.
@Dave Chung appreciate my guy! Would it be easier to get a hotel down there and take the train everywhere or drive? We will have a car rental but if its hard to get around the city and parking is as bad as I hear it is then we may just walk and use the train.
Depends where you’re coming from 🙂 it’s slower and less diverse than a very big city, but if you’re coming from a smaller city, it could have more of both! I love where I live.
@@LMiraculous it’s big, but not compared to LA, NY, Chicago, etc. We’re closer to that Nashville, Austin, Portland, Charlotte size, the next tier down. All depends where someone is coming from 🙂
@@LMiraculous 3 days is solid! It was affordable about 6 years ago, but now it's one of the top 15 most expensive cities in the country. I hope you have a great trip here though!
@@davechung No problem! I'd say another I would add too that I like to do after Avanti is go to Little Man Ice Cream, Inside Scoop, or Teastation in LoHi, and then walk along the Platte River. A lot of people love sitting on the hill at Confluence Park to watch the sunset.
- Hi, I’m traveling to Denver in June. Where are the best pho spots? I googled map and I found that you guys have an Asian shopping mall district on federal Blvd? Any good food recommendations in that area would be great!! Thanks!!!

Too boring for me, very hard to find good food, everything closes early. I personally like late nightlife and Colorado doesn't have that.

My Brother's Bar downtown is great.
It is! Thanks for adding the suggestion! I have been wanting to do a bar video, but it’s really tough to film in low light and the audio is brutal 😀
You didn't touch on the music scene in Denver. There is usually lots of different concerts going on...many are even free.
A great point and suggestion - thank you! Even though it’s not a top reason why people visit Denver, there are always a bunch of concerts.

You’re SO right about Asian food 😢
All the places you said not to check out, i will check out. I know your secret
😂 honestly wouldn’t be a terrible time. You’d still have fun!
Lets join a ghost tour lmao
Suns in 4 guy 🤣😂
Never forget 😂
Do Americans really travel somewhere just to eat at restaurants and visit...parks? I don't get it
😂 they do! Many states are very different, so many people think it’s fun to experience what everyday life is like in another state.
You guys have way better Asian food than St Louis Memphis Kansas City! PHo for days!
South Park location.
people go places for the food? u have food at home wtf am I crazy? especially since its just american food
