Welcome to Colorado! I've lived in the state since 2003 in Fraser and Winter Park. I moved to Lakewood three years ago, winters are easier down here. Glad your move went well, and enjoy your new apartment!
I lived in Lakewood, CO for a summer and got trace snow on Mother’s Day 2015. I also was up in the mountains in July and go flurried on. I miss Colorado. It was and is very pretty country.
THANK YOU :)
Welcome to beautiful Colo! Hope you fall in love with it!
you're kind, thank you!!
Been to Denver many times in my life. Downtown Denver was nice back in the 1980s and 1990s.
Interesting. This just ended up on my page. Been in Denver/Boulder my whole life. Almost born here and definitely raised. I have heard so many great stories about Austin, and I have never been. I am curious to know what brings you to Denver. Welcome! You will love it here. Colorado has so much beauty.
I needed a change from ATX and the heat! Colder weather with lots of fit people who drink beer? sounded perfect :)
@@karaforfitnessshould have done more research, Polis and the liberals have trashed that state .
Welcome to Denver 🎉🎉🎉
Go slow in the wind, I used to deliver in Freightliner 26’ box trucks for Lowe’s and have been blown around. Not fun at all.
Greetings from Siberia, I love the Midwestern lifestyle
Colorado is actually considered the mountain west, not the Midwest. 🙂
I’m moving to Denver in few days how’s the jobs looking?
I know exactly where you are, you will love the area!
It's been great!! Just need it to cool down now lol
How much was the U-Haul ! And how many days did you keep it!
It was around 1k and we had it for 4 days!
You are going to love Colorado. Once you get settled, you have to visit Colorado Springs. In my opinion it blows Denver away. Denver has big city Liberal problems. Tons more Liberals, tons more homeless, tons more crime and just has a grimy, dirty feel to it. The Springs has far less of all the nasty stuff, but as many if not more opportunities. Lots of places to work, milder winters, better civil engineering regarding the roads and infrastructure. Good luck to you and your family.
Denver is a massive sprawl, and not every corner of the very large metro area has “liberal” problems. (Not sure why you made it political.) I live in the west metro area, right off the light rail. Access to downtown, Golden, TONS of city activities, and lots of nearby hiking. The Springs is beautiful, yes, but it doesn’t blow Denver out of the water. And your winters are not “milder”, lol. It’s generally pretty equal unless Denver ends up with a plains blizzard. Your temps are actually generally cooler, which IS a benefit in the winter. The Springs has a slower, “big town” lifestyle which might be preferred over a faster-paced city lifestyle, but it’s not “better”. Just deferent depending on the lifestyle preference of an individual.
I did need to make a trip out there!
from living in both, I might go back to the Springs for prices, and calmer life style, plus yes I agree, slightly nicer weather, in city hiking, closer hiking trails, beautiful city views, the sunsets and mountains are so close and beautiful. I haven't lived there for like 4 years though so I don't know how the city has changed. I've heard crime is there too. But I kind of miss it. Denver, I had my whole damn car robbed, hit and run another car, and then third time my whole catalytic converter stolen, so I'm a bit over it. PLUS rent is cheaper though, here's to seeing what happens. Denver got me exhausted lmao and it's #7 on worst air quality in Americaaaa, and facts the politics is destroying it, when I called the police in 2020 about my car being stolen right in front of me it took OVER an hour for anyone to show up. And I was about 10 blocks from the police station
Do you like Denver? I've lived in Colorado since birth and think Denver is the worst spot in the state.
haha, I definitely wouldn't stay here forever!
Definitely not Denver itself, suburban metro or rural is ok , never Denver it’s a hole !
Colorado isn't even close to what it was 30+ years ago. We're looking to leave.
