Good times was one the first places i ate at in Colorado when my wife and moved here and it’s been one of our guilty pleasures ever since. Always good food and friendly staff. I was shocked when you made it part of the list but it is absolutely worth it!
I find it "Meh" at best. It isn't bad, but I have lived 5 minutes away from it for 10 years and we went there a few times when we first moved into the area and I've never gone back. Might as well stop in the Safeway next door and buy a few ingredients there to take home and make the same stuff yourself... for most of the dishes at least. Kinda feels like you are sitting in a Highlands Ranch trophy wife's living room than a restaurant too. I guess I would put on my list of over-rated restaurants that I don't get why everyone rates so highly.
I have lived in Colorado my whole life. I'm sixty one and have eaten at every restaurant except Donut House. His reviews are dead on, I personally know the owner's of Undici and have been eating there since they opened. El Tequileno best Mexican restaurant, A ki in Englewood, owned by Kevin and Bonnie, best Sushi restaurant in Denver. I was good friends with the original chief at the Piper in, in the eighties he was Cantonese and at that time the wings were the best in Denver.
There’s a Good Times in Southlands that you can sit inside and eat. They have pretty decent handheld breakfast burritos. For Italian, Craneli’s in Lone Tree is amazing! Love the arancini and garlic knots.
Yep. I’d take a good times over most burger joints. In and out is fine if you want salty and greasy fries but as far as a burger, GT. They actually have a decent breakfast burrito too.
Piper Inn. Order the wings get the sauce Asian medium or hot. Those to this day are my favorite. Another fun fact you can buy the sauce if you love it that much and make them at home
I agree, I’m not a fan of wings, but my kids are. A biker friend of ours took us there and made me a fan for life. When in Parker we never miss going to Pipers!
I love good times. It used to be pricy but now everyone is pricy. They have the best chile cheese fry’s in Denver. Keep it local. It blows all of the others out of the water. I was sad to see a few close recently. I’m glad you plugged’em I have to admit I’ve not tried any of the others you mentioned but I guess I’ll check’em out when I’m down South.
Come on Man !! Learn how to pronounce Santiago's. Good Grief. And by the way, I stand for their breakfast burritos. Try them again with a side of green chili for dipping. THE BOMB !!
Fun post, thank you! About the Piper, go for the vibe. This is a great little place especially in the summer! So unassuming and the staff is very nice.Welcoming, warm and friendly. In all honesty, I think they need to hold back a little in the salt, and I love salt! But try the Piper, great little neighborhood place!
I questioned whether undici would be worth the trip to Englewood. And then you went cherry tomato… which is the reason I questioned the journey lol. I’ll try it out. Thanks, love the piper cantonese wings are the way to go!!
Five excellent choices! You gained another subscriber with this one. On the donuts, don't forget that LaMar's, while it's a chain, is headquartered locally. Nice to see Unidici getting some attention, especially since they've been working away at it for about twenty-five years. Interestingly, for a couple decades before it was Undici it was a more Cherry TOmato-like restaurant called Fratelli's, which had great pizza. If you;re in that neighborhood, there's a newer restaurant at Kent Place, Osteria Alberici, that's also promising. Another vote for Park Burger here. And after that, go across the street to Pete's Market for some unusual grocery choices.
I live near three of these, the Piper Inn being one. Love the Piper!! I'm fairly near Undici's, and my sister-in-law lives two blocks away from it! The furthest place is Cherry Tomato, and it looks like it is worth heading toward downtown. It looks easy to get to, so I'm making plans!! Great video! Thanks!
Native here, i wasn't aware of three of these items. For me, i appreciate a simple but delicious cake donut. Been wanting to try Piper Inn, i like Good Times, but from my experience the pattie is overcooked. It seems most fast food chains overcook their beef patties. I think that stems from someone getting sick at a Jack In the Box over 20 years ago that received national attention.
Man it's nice to know I'm not the only one who likes Good Times! I'm a 67 year old Denver Native (though I live in Aurora), and for me Good Times has by far the best burgers and fries of any fast food type place in the metro area. The problem is there just aren't enough of them! I live in the NE Aurora area known as the Tower Triangle, and the closest GT is on Mississippi and Airport. Regardless, their burgers and fries are way above the national chains like McDonald's, BK, etc. their dipping sauce and custard are really good as well. Great to see Good Times at the top of your list. You mentioned In And Out; I like their service and burgers, but their fries are too thin and skimpy for my taste--not to mention the long lines at the drive up.
I live down the street from Undici Ristorante, never been, 11 years! I'll try it out. Am I the only one curious about the Emmy Awards in the background?
Love me some Good Times, maybe a little too much. But I would suggest that you stay away from the one at 808 E Colfax probably after dinner time. The food becomes a greasy, we don’t really care kind of place. But the rest of their places are all awesome for fast food that is a cut above the rest. Big Daddy Bacon Cheeseburger and onion rings or chili cheese fries and a large drink. Pretty hard to beat this.
My gripe is that Good Times used to offer pepperjack cheese for a while, but always had cheddar cheese as an option. It looks like they dropped that and only have American cheese.
Mmm, the wild sauce or whatever it’s called at Good Times is so good. I’d like to add to your list as a 36 year old native - Willy’s Wings in Morrison and Benny Blanco’s in Cap Hill are my favorite wings and pizza in Colorado, respectively.
agree with Goodtimes and add ... Chubby's and Santiago's (the sauce on the chili fries at Good times comes from here). will have to try others also Wokanos (orange Chicken and Honey prawns) a good little dive family owned.
Piper is the best. The Asian hot wings are amazing. The Cantonese food is taken by the last set of cooks there. The egg rolls and potstickers are yum. It is great! Voodoo donut is Satanic.
Any of the Burger Havens!! We used to go to Grandpa's Burger Haven, when it was on 44th just west of Sheridan. I think it changed to a granddaughter's name, but it might not be there anymore.
Good Times has gone down hill the last few years. But not horrible. Different genre, you have to check out The Creamery. 30th & Curtis. Mexican, family owned for I believe over 50 or 60 years. Eat in your car or at Curtis Park. If you know you know
Santiago's now gives you a taquito for $4 - It isnt a burrito at all, it's 1/3rd the size they use to be, sucha a ripoff, and also they dont use hatch green chile anymore for the past 4 years. Santiagos sucks.
Piper Inn does have the best wings I've had in Denver. Who is better? Piper Inn Wings are pricey but well worth it. Undici Ristorante looks tempting as it is right across the street from one of the best thai restaurants in Denver called Aungs Bangkok Cafe. Good TImes isn't terrible and worthy of this list. Good Times is better then In and Out. I'll have to check out Cherry Tomatoes
Not a lot going on in the area of Undici? Its the third best restaurant on the corner. Both Bosphorous (amazing) and Aungs is better. Cochino taco is however, the worst restaurant i have ever been to in my life.
We have a couple of Good Times here in Colorado Springs went there once and it was really good have been there a few times after and it was absolutely terrible not sure what happened but I wouldn't go there for anything anymore👎 now I'm questioning the rest of your reviews haha just kidding thanks for all the info
Noticed this as well. I think he minced his words up a bit. I ran into Sam last year at a pool party and I can assure you his physique suggests he does indeed enjoy the occasional donut.
Good Times was once very good. Not so much the last few years. So disagree with that choice. Cavatelli's is my choice for most underrated Denver restaurant.
I used to love Good Times until I realized how bland their meat is. They don't even put salt on the patties. Once I realized that, I started going less. Their spoon benders are the best custard you can get tho
No mention of Columbine Steakhouse, The Lookin Good, El Huerto Family Mexican Restaurant (aka Maxs Mexican Restaurant), Yummy Station, Szechuans (6th and garrison), Sushi Uokura, or Jim's/Grandpas Burger.....im disappointed. Also Good Times does not belong on the list at all. Its a mediocre fast food chain.
Wtf!?! Good times kinda sucks now, they were much better in the nineties . I just go to in and out burger instead, they've got like six of them in Denver now The Cherry Cricket is the gold standard in Denver Hamburger mythology 🎉
Donut House is ok.. But I would like everyone head over to Tasty Donuts in Commerce City.. You will not be disappointed.. and for a good burger, I would choose Fat Burger or Freddy's Green Chile Burger. Good Times Burgers are ok but i would rate their fries -1 of 10.. That's the reason i don't frequent Good Times because their fries are so bad. McDonalds fries tops them all. And for a great Breakfast Burrito hands down "Thursday Special - (HOT) Chorizo Burrito at Santiago's. None of that fake stuff like they're serving at Good Times. And for a great Wings Menu- I cook'm up at MiCasa now days - Wings are practically $2 dollars a piece eating out.. I save a little money and cook at My House by adding some wings in the Air Fryer.. they are the best wings I have ever had. They would compete with any wing stand in town.. Sprinkle on some Hot Dirty Bird, cook them for 16min and wow, they come out with a nice bronze shade, spicy hot and crispy on the outside, tender in the middle. These are not deep fried my friends. The best wings I have ever had. Baby Back Ribs too.
Good times was one the first places i ate at in Colorado when my wife and moved here and it’s been one of our guilty pleasures ever since. Always good food and friendly staff. I was shocked when you made it part of the list but it is absolutely worth it!
First person who's known about Undicis in almost 20 years. Glad to see it on here
I love Cafe Jordano's Italian restaurant. They have the classics dishes but also have dishes not found in typical Italian restaurants.
Could not agree more!
I find it "Meh" at best. It isn't bad, but I have lived 5 minutes away from it for 10 years and we went there a few times when we first moved into the area and I've never gone back. I’ve been to Piper Inn!
Their wings and fries are effing amazing!💯
Hands down the best place I’ve ever eaten wings at!
There’s a Good Times in Southlands that you can sit inside and eat. They have pretty decent handheld breakfast burritos.
For Italian, Craneli’s in Lone Tree is amazing! Love the arancini and garlic knots.
Good times is 100% better than in n out.. Good list
Costs more though
Yep. I’d take a good times over most burger joints. In and out is fine if you want salty and greasy fries but as far as a burger, GT. They actually have a decent breakfast burrito too.

Grandma’s original chubbies would like a word 😂
😂😂😂 you’re definitely not from Denver. Original Chubby’s has the best chile cheese fries and it’s not even close
Come on Man !! Learn how to pronounce Santiago's. Good Grief. And by the way, I stand for their breakfast burritos. Try them again with a side of green chili for dipping. THE BOMB !!
Billy's Inn on 44th and Lowell has incredible Mexican food
Love that place.
Underrated: Reelfish, Loco Hermanos, Pepper Asian Bistro II, Holy Crepe... just to name a few
I eat pepper asian bistro more than i'd like to admit, its so good everytime!
@@jvzzbox I don't blame you; it is excellent!
Pepper Asian Bistro is sooo good, I used to work in that area and totally miss having it for lunch
Really enjoying the expanded content, Sam!
🤙😎🤙
Started going to the Piper in 1981
I sold my condo in Denver a couple years ago and so glad I did. I will say that I have been to 3 out of 5 of these and I agree with you.
interesting list. expand your horizons, head up to woody's wings & things up towards westminster
Wow! I'll have to check out Good Times. I've been to Cherry Tomato many times! Agree, it's good!
Good Times is the best... Fresh lettuce and tomato... Grilled bun deliciousness. And their shakes are fantastic too! Way to go Sam!!
DOMO Please. The back garden alone is worth the cost of a visit. Not to mention the amazing traditional Japanese dishes are just amazing.
Really love your content, and we have loved UnDici for years.
Fun post, thank you! About the Piper, go for the vibe. This is a great little place especially in the summer! So unassuming and the staff is very nice.Welcoming, warm and friendly. In all honesty, I think they need to hold back a little in the salt, and I love salt! But try the Piper, great little neighborhood place!
good times does have at least 2 walk in and sit down restaurants one in and highlands ranch and one in south lands
There was one on Wadsworth Pkwy, just south of I-70, with a dining room that I used to go to.
I questioned whether undici would be worth the trip to Englewood. And then you went cherry tomato… which is the reason I questioned the journey lol. I’ll try it out. Thanks, love the piper cantonese wings are the way to go!!
Good Times has a Parker location where you can order inside and eat inside. The only one I've seen where you can eat inside.
Love the Piper Inn! It has a great locals atmosphere and awesome wings.
Been going to the Piper inn for 15 years now. Love that place!
The donut place and piper are right across thr street lol. Piper is my absolute favorite wing place
My favorite donut in Denver area is Parlor Donuts. So many cronuts there
Five excellent choices! You gained another subscriber with this one. On the donuts, don't forget that LaMar's, while it's a chain, is headquartered locally.

Thank you, love to hear about good & best food. Love the custard at Good Times. Pass Piper Inn, heard they are good but not tried.
Donut House...yes
Piper is the best.

Check out Milas Cantina, 6th and Clarkson. Stopped today for the first time. Very impressed.
good times is the best!!
Man it's nice to know I'm not the only one who likes Good Times! I'm a 67 year old Denver Native (though I live in Aurora), and for me Good Times has by far the best burgers and fries of any fast food type place in the metro area. I live very near that Good Times on Buckley. Great guacamole burgers!!
@torchape My nephew and I made the trip down there today. Had GT burgers on my mind...
I won't tell you guys the best ones. 💪
These videos are honest, good times definitely has some good burgers. The fries are on point too.
Love to see places close to home. ❤
I live down the street from Undici Ristorante, never been, 11 years! I'll try it out. Am I the only one curious about the Emmy Awards in the background?
Donutville in westminster off of Sheridan. The. Best. Donuts. Ever. Take it from a donut sommelier, amazing, light, ethereal.
The original chubbys chili cheese fries are bomb try it with bacon. As for burgers you have to try park burger and pizzeria Loui bomb
You sir, are 100% correct about Good Times. Damn... I haven't been there in a while... Yes... the Double Cheeseburger. Damn.
Later gator
vs
You’ve got to try THE PORKLET in Aurora, best Korean Fried Chicken and Tonkatsu! Best Korean Fried Chicken bar none!
Love me some Good Times, maybe a little too much. But I would suggest that you stay away from the one at 808 E Colfax probably after dinner time. Like both the Double CB & Big Daddy Bacon Cheeseburgers!
My gripe is that Good Times used to offer pepperjack cheese for a while, but always had cheddar cheese as an option. It looks like they dropped that and only have American cheese.
try we knead donut wadsworth behind gunther todys
Yeah, I always got sweet potato fries but suddenly-poof- gone
Mmm, the wild sauce or whatever it’s called at Good Times is so good. I’d like to add to your list as a 36 year old native - Willy’s Wings in Morrison and Benny Blanco’s in Cap Hill are my favorite wings and pizza in Colorado, respectively.
Also, I don’t think those two are underrated. I think people know how great they are. Just wanted to share a couple good grub joints with everyone.
agree with Goodtimes and add ... Chubby's and Santiago's (the sauce on the chili fries at Good times comes from here).
will have to try others
also Wokanos (orange Chicken and Honey prawns) a good little dive family owned.
Good times breakfast burritos are great !
Piper is the best. The Asian hot wings are amazing. The Cantonese food is taken by the last set of cooks there. The egg rolls and potstickers are yum. It is great! Voodoo donut is Satanic.
NEVER underestimate GOOD TIMES…sliders are BOMB
LAMARS doughnuts 🍩 😋 pricey but great and filling!
Jim's Burger Haven.
Any of the Burger Havens!! We used to go to Grandpa's Burger Haven, when it was on 44th just west of Sheridan. I think it changed to a granddaughter's name, but it might not be there anymore.
maybe i dont see enough food lists but I never hear mention of Angelos's Taverna.. so mf good
The word “undici “ is pronounced “UN dee chee” in Italian. It means eleven.
Almost went to Piper inn tonight for wings!
Undici, used to be a restaurant called, Fratelli's and they had the best breadsticks.
I love Piper Inn. Friendly servers and the best wings anywhere.
Swift's Breakfast House Hole in the wall!
Aung's Bangkok Cafe across the street from Undici is some of the best Thai food if you are looking for a good Thai place.
Good times is nowhere near as good as it used to be in my opinion. But great video man
Good Times has gone down hill the last few years. But not horrible. Different genre, you have to check out The Creamery. 30th & Curtis. Mexican, family owned for I believe over 50 or 60 years. Eat in your car or at Curtis Park. If you know you know
The Creamery is disgusting!
City Donuts on Colfax btwn Eudora & Elm. Overnight proofing!
I moved to Denver since before that guy was born... I'll see what he's got on here
Did you arrive in a covered wagon?
Have you tried Big Sky Burger in Lakewood? It's a Korean take on burgers and some of the best burgers and best fries I've had
Have you tired Bistro Barbes in Park Hill before? Amazing place that flies under the radar
undici is so good highly recommend
Whoa! Putting Good Times up against Santiago's. Are you really from Denver?
Santiago's now gives you a taquito for $4 - It isnt a burrito at all, it's 1/3rd the size they use to be, sucha a ripoff, and also they dont use hatch green chile anymore for the past 4 years. Santiagos sucks.
You didn't go to the donut house & take pics?
Piper Inn does have the best wings I've had in Denver. Who is better? Piper Inn Wings are pricey but well worth it. I went to Goodtimes once, for breakfast. They put Mayo on a breakfast sandwich....... I have never gone back.
That would do it for me too. No mayo!!!
As a black man i have heard some sad things about piper inn like im scared to go honestly
I thought the OG Donut House was in Littleton by the Skate City & Chubb's...
You should check out “Dad’s Doughnuts” down in Colorado Springs. Amazing Cronuts.
Good Times is better then In-N-Out by a galaxy and a half
"Despite my appearance"??? What does that mean??
It means in real life I’m shockingly skinny but-as evidenced by my friends roasting me for 2 days straight over this-clearly the joke did not land. 😂
Fair enough
Great scoots my guy
There are a small number of real deal Korean restaurants in town. The Hot Pot is the go to. Drop me a line if you want some recommendations!
King Soopers (in my opinion) is unbeatable for donuts.
Good Times in Brighton, Longmont and Greeley have dine in. Don't forget our slightly northern neighbors.
We have a couple of Good Times here in Colorado Springs went there once and it was really good have been there a few times after and it was absolutely terrible not sure what happened but I wouldn't go there for anything anymore👎 now I'm questioning the rest of your reviews haha just kidding thanks for all the info
“Despite my appearance” what lol
Noticed this as well. I think he minced his words up a bit. I ran into Sam last year at a pool party and I can assure you his physique suggests he does indeed enjoy the occasional donut.
Hey man you know I was dealing with a lot that summer and you promised not to fat shame me.
I blacked out for a second when I said that.
smh this is easily one of the top 30 most conceited things I've heard Sam say.
Publicly, anyways.
Top 75 overall.
I stopped going when they started expecting a tip for fast food! When I have to stand in line (especially outdoors) for food, I'm not tipping!!!
Sorry, but fish filets and fries from Long John Silvers are HEAVEN.
If you feel like a hamburger and fries, definitely go to Good Times.
Check out The Castle on Arapahoe & Broadway in Littleton
Love Donut House
Parlor Doughnuts best Cronuts ever.
If you're even in Aurora... Pearl of Siam. Best. Thai. ANY.WHERE.
Good Times was once very good. Not so much the last few years. So disagree with that choice. Cavatelli's is my choice for most underrated Denver restaurant.
You forgot Hurts Donuts in parker, colorado, best donuts
Biker Jim’s Gourmet Hot Dogs.
I never go to the east side of town😂. I like your video style. Hit sub 💪🏿 today. Wishing you unlimited success.❤
I used to love Good Times until I realized how bland their meat is. They don't even put salt on the patties. Once I realized that, I started going less. Their spoon benders are the best custard you can get tho
Undici isn't the best Italian restaurant within 500 feet of Undici. Pino's is better.
This video highlights the most underrated, not the best.
Pino’s is also underrated.
Nothing against pinos but definitely not better than Undici
No mention of Columbine Steakhouse, The Lookin Good, El Huerto Family Mexican Restaurant (aka Maxs Mexican Restaurant), Yummy Station, Szechuans (6th and garrison), Sushi Uokura, or Jim's/Grandpas Burger.....im disappointed. Also Good Times does not belong on the list at all. Its a mediocre fast food chain.
Wtf!?! Good times kinda sucks now, they were much better in the nineties . I just go to in and out burger instead, they've got like six of them in Denver now
The Cherry Cricket is the gold standard in Denver Hamburger mythology 🎉
Tony P’s
The best wings I have ever had. Baby Back Ribs too.
Piper inn is great
