The Toyota Corolla is one of the best-selling cars ever made, and has been sold in a number of different countries outside of Japan, included the United States, Brazil, Venezuela, Turkey, Australia, and many others.
This ad was created in 1986 for the fifth generation Toyota Corolla, known as the Corolla E80, for Venezuela, where Toyota Corolla E80 AE82 was being manufactured and sold. The commercial was produced by Franco Rubartelli and the song was sung by popular Venezuelan singer Guillermo Carrasco.
The Corolla ceased mass sale and production in Venezuela in 1990, although the Corolla, and by extension Toyota, has maintained a presence in Venezuela since.

I've always hated car advertisements. But this, this is incredible.
You should see the japanese ads of that era, 80s and 90s and older, really interesting ways.
Some tell a story where the car plays a role, take the C110 Skyline for example, 1972-1977, it's not just an ad about the car but stories of a couple, Ken and Mary as they take trips in their lovely Skyline. Thus the car having the nickname "Kenmeri" as in Ken and Meri and if you say the names in vice versa you get "Meriken" which sounds like "American" as the car is inspired by the american Pony Cars and Muscle cars. Really interesting stuff

I remember seeing a Prius ad where robbers used it as a getaway car, running for so long that the police ran out of fuel and they slowly drove past a roadblock of sleeping policemen

@@F.B.I thats unlucky, my dad has ALOT of experience with corollas; back in 1990s my dad's father was ill. And because at that time things like hospitals were almost non existent in rural areas, so my dad, his brother and my grandfather all got into their 1970s model Corolla and drove for about 24hrs to the capital. it ran like a beauty, and the best part: the fuel for the trip only cost $0.34! and unfortunately that corolla has been sold BUT since before i was born my dad asked to take the 1986 corolla DX-saloon that was recently imported from Japan and bought by my uncle (this was around 2000-2001) and we still have that corolla today.

Please, take me back to the age where most ads were catchy, creative and wonderful and not the annoying crap we have today.
Now if they sell they're good, they don't care anymore about being catchy, but at least some brands are still keeping the car community in life support, like Subaru, Honda, Acura, Cupra, Nissan, Peugeot and Renault, Hyundai. At least in Europe.
Actually in some "third world" countries there are still funny ads. Every time I open the Romanian radio every ad has something funny in it. Maybe it's just a detail, but this ad was for Venezuela, so who knows?

@@ilovecc2011well actually 🤓, AE is a designation for several models of the Toyota Corolla, A means the engine type (A indicates it's a 4A series) and E signifies it being a Corolla, the two numbers after it have 2 meanings, the first being the generation and the second the variant withing the generation, so by saying Toyotta AE92 it means it's a Toyotta Corolla from the E90 series (sixth generation Corolla).

The Japanese cars from that time had really good quality, just like other japanese products from the 80s-90s... such as electronics.

This commercial was for the fifth-generation E80 Corolla. It was the first FWD Corolla and the FX hatchback was the first Corolla built in the U.S.
The E80 was also the platform which the legendary AE86 was a part of.
