Yes, D98 boots site. There are people still working on site who remember when this was operating. Opened in 1982 and as you discovered , closed around 2004. I’ve heard from 3 separate people. A cleaner and an engineer who both said it became disbanded very quickly due to asbestos being found. A third person said the building was found to have concrete cancer and is unsafe. Testing was moved to D10 but now that has closed as of this year. Those silverson machines you found are essentially just industrial blenders used to mix product. They would have had a steel bladed shaft attached to them but it’s missing. A really interesting video. Now I know what’s on the inside 👍

D98, Beeston, Nottinghamshire. It looks like it was simply abandoned and all the staff asked to leave immediately. No housekeeping or tidying up before they left,!

Nice to see in the place where Boots test the products before they are let loose on the shop floor, and maybe some returns for whatever reason and product recalls will catch you on the next one.

Sad to see the ending of Boots in my local area. Another one gone for Nottingham. So many thousands worked there when I grew up and now the factory will close in the next few months... more corporate greed

@@abandoneduk4640 As Boots closed down the care about recycling went out of the window. Previously as areas changed, furniture was centralised in a storage area and reused as necessary. Those were the days when bosses looked after the company and didn't sell off bit to improve their own shareholding value.
