Thank for reacting to NU'EST's documentary. lt's been a long time seeing someone reacting to NU'EST.
I started to become their fans in late 2013, a few months after they released "Hello" (Yeboseyo ). I was first attracted by the androgynous look of Ren and then started looking up information about this group. In late 2013, they were just reached 18 (except Aro who us 2 years older than them). At the time they debuted, four of them were not yet 17 (an interesting thing is that all 4 Korean members of the group were born in 1995 while the LA boy Aron was in 1993). JR the leader was the oldest among the 4 (8 June 1995), Baekho was born on 21 July 1995, Minhyun 9 August 1995 and Ren 3 November 1995. JR being a leader at such a young age was shoulderd with such a great responsibility and thus we can expect how much pressure & stress he had faced. Aron cried in the last part of the video and Ren comforted him saying that he had the hardest times. That's true. He was admitted to NYU but gave up and went to Korea to be trainee. Although his parents are Koreans, Aron who was born in LA knew zero when he went to Korea. He started learning Korean in Korea. Without family members with him, he really had tough times , esp during the hard times of NU'EST. That's why he drank a lot at that time . Even now he's the one that like drinking the most. Don't cheat by the masculine appearance of Baekho. He can't drink and got drunk easily even with a small cup.( also a crying baby, among the 5 he's the one that cried the most)
As someone has commented above, Baekho was got rigged out of the final 11 of Produce 101. Yet, to me it seemed to be a blessing because from 2017 releasing Where you At onwards, he started becoming composer & lyrics writer of most of the group song of NU'EST. Being able to work with his members enabled him to walk further in the music path, not just being a singer (main vocal of the group ) but to become a producer. With his encouragement , JR who used to rap only started singing (he has s typical low vocal that added great colour to Nuest songs).
About Produce 101, NU'EST was not the only group thatvsent members to participate ,there were still some from other near disbanded groups. But NU'EST seemed to get more attention (criticism ) because by that time their debut song FACE was still the most watched debut video of boygroup in youtube.
After Minhyun ended his contract as member of Wannaone , he returned and all members renewed contract with Pledis. In 2019, they had 2 comebacks with title song BET BET ( also putting an end to the concept of searching for the Queen since OVERCOME in 2016) and LOVE ME (this song gave NUEST 1st position in all the 5 music shows).
Mismanagement set in again and worse still later Pledis was put under HYBE , which resulted in give them one comeback one year (I AM IN TROUBLE in 2020, INSIDE OUT in 2021). When we are looking forward to their debut 10th anniversary on 15th March 2022, it was announced in late Jan that they would disband on 14th March 2022. JR, Aron & Ren woyld leave the company while Baekho & Minhyun renewed their contacts. At the time the 3 left, they were not signed to any company. The disbandment seemed not they wanted. Ren later in the podcast hosted by Aron mentioned that they were being told of the disbandment.
Finally JR and Ren signed to 2 different companies and Aron has no company affiliated. He worked on his own.
As they have mentioned , they are really close. It's truth. Theyvhave their own chat group to keep in contact. They will continue to come out for drinks or meals if times fit. They shot supporting video messages for each other when they released new songs for solo debut.
Updated information of them after disbandment
JR, Baekho , Minhyun & Ren all have their solo debut as singer. Even though Aron got no company , he has released a single
Hope you can react to some of the songs of NU'EST. Even the B-side songs are great.

Peaktime and many other survival shows that centered around debuted idols were made because of nuest's success stories. Their success is such an inspiration and has led to many chances for other veteran or unknown idols too.

it is also my first time watching this vid. i only got to nu’est like two or three cbs before they disbanded so i wasnt able to check out non-music related stuff from them.
still not forgiving pledis for the mismanagement and what appeared to be an out of nowhere disbandment.
anyway, looking forward to you checking out their music. ❤️

Honestly the Produce show is an attack from every angle for NUEST.
Pledis had only one girl group, After School, who had debuted around when JR was taken into the company as their first male trainee.
So After School was there to watch NUEST train, debut, and decline. And then to show up on Produce 101 in absolute desperation and JR to stare into the eyes of Kahi, former After School member, as a judge, jfc the STRENGTH they had to endure that situation.
I sob so many times during the documentary, I love my boys so fucking much, & Pledis/HYBE can burn for ruining everything for them when they DEF could have kept pushing on 😭💔😭💔😭

So, since I see nobody commenting about Baekho on the Produce 101 show, I think I should let you guys know that he actually got cheated out of being in the group Wanna One along with his former fellow member Minhyun. I believe you probably know there was a huge scandal surrounding Produce 101 because the votes got rigged. Later it was revealed that Baekho‘s votes were higher than another contestant‘s but they swapped the votes and cheated him out of debuting with the group. It’s very sad for him. But since they gained so much popularity afterwards and he got to fulfill many dreams and firsts along with his other members, I hope he was okay with the route he was forced into instead. Anyway, just thought you should have this info as well. ❤

I always loved Nu’est loved there early stuff JR the leader was my favourite. I think they were really mist managed also they had to deal with the bullying rumours of the younger groups under the same company. The company should have done there job and spoke up for them
