I'm always amazed by 1) how do people use their rugs so they get ugly dirty !? 2) how well the rugs have been made to withstand the beating you cleaners give them in order to look soft and fluffy again !?
Seriously, I doubt any of my relatives' carpets would ever get a) as dirty and b) put up with so much cleaning effort without dissolving into pieces of thread and dye 😮

People use rugs in shops, garages or as entrance matts on construction sites 😊Thats where they get the most filthy and muddy.
When it comes to washing, some types of rugs cannot be washed (e.g. viscose, such a rug would fall apart). Wool or artificial carpets endure our deep cleaning :)

Мы занимаемся чисткой ковров, каждый день клиенты приносят около 100 штук ковров. Самые грязные из них, которые мы показываем в кино, часто хранятся снаружи - на стройках в качестве подъездных ковриков, в гаражах или магазинах.
