Val, I'm a man and watch a lot of bowlers on both the men's and women's tours but I find myself watching you more than any of them because of how smooth you are. You may not have a ton or revs or speed but you are so accurate and pleasing to watch. Sometimes when I'm bowling league I will watch a video of you to help get my tempo, timing and swing sorted out.
Oh my gosh, I'm flattered! Thank you so much. Honestly, sometimes I have to watch a video of myself to get my timing and tempo back 🙃 it feels different to me daily...not sure if it's that noticeable to others, but when I take videos, I can really tell.
I appreciate the comparison across your arsenals, sticking to the same line, before moving, to really see the difference. You've done some of this with different oil patterns recently. I'd watch all of these types of videos. Getting the mental reps in, kinda like class homework, what move would I make, what ball would I switch to, is super useful, and this is more mental repetition of that. Thank you!

This was a great video. Clear easy to understand from both ladies. I use a Scorpion Hybrid as my benchmark then go up with the Scorpion Low Flare or the Dark Web Solid and go down with the Scorpion Sting or the Web Pearl. Plastic spare ball of course.
That makes sense and looks good to me. The Scorpion was on the lower end for me when I had it in my bag, but I tend to need/like bigger cores and stronger covers!
Val, great video. Question. Kind of confused. Balling down from your benchmark ball. Confused about the Hammer Effect. When I ball down in a house shot I might go to a Sneak Attack or a Hammer Vibe series or a Rhino Teal. Two are low diff balls that work for me. The Effect might get thru the fronts but make a turn left when it hits the pocket. I guess. Do not have this ball. Thanks and keep up the great work to my Fav PWBA bowler. Yep. Thanks you!
Thanks Bill! I totally get that...some people might think it's a ball up and it could be depending on how you look at it. For me, it's the cleanest and quickest ball in my bag, so when there is a little friction in the front and I need to circle it more, the effect is my go-to ball. I don't have any low-diff balls like you mentioned, but those would likely work also...just not in the same way that the effect would (I'd venture a guess that I would be able to stay further right with them!)

I have an aresnal of the Brunswick Defender, Infinity, a Prism Hybrid, an Twisted Fury Solid, Mastermind Genius, an Inferno Blue Flame, an Vintage Phantom, and a Flame Viz-A-Ball. I was thinking about getting a Kingpin Rule and a Beyond Infinity later on during my new bowling season coming up in August.

I have several, the Seige, a Smokin' Inferno, and the Intense Inferno.
Yes, it's a very strong ball! I would say the Hammer Black Widow 3.0 would be a great replacement for the Kingpin Rule with the newest technology! Back in the day, I LOVED the Inferno and Radical Inferno....my absolute favorite was the Vapor Zone 🤤

I wish Brunswick would add a Intense Inferno and the Smokin' Inferno in their Vintage series. Do you think it'll be a pretty good idea? I also got a red Brunswick jersey with my name on it.

Thanks for the comment and question! We don't actually. Dasha uses 15lbs and I use 14lbs. I believe she also throws it just a bit faster, maybe 1 mph? Maybe we'll be able to do a video using Specto in the near future 🙏
Prior to my injury my arsenal was 3.0, 2.0, 2.0hy, low flare, hazmat, axe. Post injury I have to fit in the artic vibe and new rhino pearl and the new hazmat solid when that comes out
Yes, for 5/6 of them, I use 65 x 4 3/4 x 35 ...for the Hammer Effect, 65 x 4 3/4 50 just to tame it a touch since it's already a really quick/sharp response bowling ball.
Watching the ladies bowl is kinda like watching bowling in its purest form. I'm a mesthead, so I just throw it with as much force and revs as I can muster. I'm not a very good bowler if you can't tell....
