Robert Smith is Awsome as an athlete and as a person. I love the sport and having someone like him basically giving us lessons on his channel is much appreciated…. I wish I could meet this awsome fella….He at one time in his career lived in my hometown of Pataskala, Ohio but I never was lucky enough to run into him anywhere. Thank you Robert for being a great inspiration to all us bowlers and I hope one day I might get lucky and run into you…….

I'm getting back into the sport after years of injury, etc. It's been a really great process as I'm able to have my teenage sons bowl with me and learn the sport. Hey Robert! Love that you're doing videos now! Was hoping you would after those two great B7 videos you did a few weeks ago. You have a real gift for teaching and you're very charismatic and great on camera. You remind me of the Bob Ross of Bowling which I mean as the highest of compliments.
This video on breakpoints is fantastic, the whole game revolves around them. Once i learned to use them effectively is when I feel I went from beginner to intermediate bowler. Would love to see you do a video on targeting. I have tried to use the three point targeting system but feel there's too much variability at the arrows. If I miss at the arrows by an inch, that's 3 or more inches down lane which is a bad shot for me. As much as I try, I'm just inconsistent trying to play the arrows. I usually look at the breakpoint and try to pitch it to the breakpoint at whatever board I'm targeting. What would you teach about targeting systems and how to improve?
Thanks, man. Hope you keep doing videos and enjoy this process. 😋

I had a chance to do a clinic with the great CK Moore at my local House. He taught me the most important thing I have ever learned about bowling and it took me from a being a 170 avg to a 225 avg bowler. Break points. I had no clue about them. Didn't even know they mattered. Come to find out, they matter more than any thing else as far as I can tell. I can go to any House and bowl their House Shot or their Sport Shot and score now. House shots feel so easy now and so I look for Sport shots leagues in my area. I'm a 202 avg on Sport Shots. Getting better at them. As soon as I get to 210 avg I will be looking for the PBA60 regionals.

How do you determine your break point on different patterns? Do you do PL - 31 or something else? I haven't bowled on sport patterns yet, so not sure if the pl - 31 works for those or what you do to determine where to target down lane. Can you explain or make a video for how to determine and find your break point on different patterns. Thanks. GREAT video, by the way. First time I've watched you, and I subscribed immediately. Looking forward to learning more from you Mr. Smith.

It is a credit to Bob’s tenacity, but he almost always is gearing to the 1-3 pocket to getting a strike. As many bowlers find out eventually that the 1-3 pocket has many angles to strike on a given lane pattern. Repeating that line on consistent basis is key.

So how do you determine where to best play the breakpoint? is it always the 7 board usually or is that for just for a house shot? or just by how much your ball/lane is hooking? also don't you want to move your breakpoint in a bit if your moving your feet alot?sorry if thats too many questions ..big fan!
